“The atmosphere is great with lots of friendly people there. Gino's isn't the same as it used to be though. I understand the food prices have went up but there prices are outrageous and the people working there are not very friendly.”

“Just passing through Charleston. We were just driving around and not too many places caught our eye. Saw Elephant Thai.... Food was absolutely exceptional. I had the Ginger stir fry with chicken., and some fried rice. Wow, out of this world good. It had onions, peppers, wood ear mushrooms, and chicken along with a side plate of rice. Service was excellent, place was clean, nice music, not loud. Lots of people!! Its already on my list for a return visit on return from travels farther west Again, an absolute hit with me..”

“Idk his name, but the old guy who always wears the light grey shirt and who’s been here forever, sucks. We’ve had him multiple times and he always messes things up with our order only comes around to get order and place check. First watch itself is great, good food, lovely place, highly recommend. It’s just that one guy that’s terrible.Parking: There’s a lot free on the weekends.”

“Honestly, I rarely do reviews but this dinner was the best so far on our road trip across Kentucky and now West Virginia. We had met Nick who works in the kitchen the day before who gave us the recommendation and he was spot on. Really great food with the correct portions. Cocktails were awesome from Derek who was attentive and super knowledgeable.We would definitely recommend this to anyone in the Charleston area to dine at.I’m not surprised that the chef/restaurant is nominated for a major award.Keep up the great work.”

“Very cute hidden gem! Parking is dicey because it's on a main street. park in the back. They were quite busy but friendly.my mocha Latte was delicious and expertly executed. It was a tad long wait to receive though over 25 minutes but only 3 people working on a busy Saturday they were doing the best they could.lots of food being made also.”

“This place is an amazing treasure with friendly workers. We arrived at the hotel across the street on a rainy night and didn't want to go far. The restaurant next to the hotel got mediocre reviews so we decided to try Barone Brothers which got excellent reviews. Wow. The Great reviews couldn't have prepared us for the amazing toasted Italian sub my husband ordered. The meats were hearty deli slices. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. I ordered a Greek salad. The salad was nice and cold. The mix of veggies was perfection. The dressing was good. Maybe more Italian inspired but it was a perfect compliment to the salad. We would stop off the interstate again specifically to go to this charming little place. It's not fancy. They appear to do mostly a takeout business, but they do have seating. We arrived close to closing time, and were not rushed or made to feel like an imposition at all. They treated us like we were right on time. So friendly..”

“Service was indifferent, not rude but not kind. We had to ask for things several times. Never refilled drinks. Philly cheese steak had pickles which was odd. Maybe ok if I liked pickles but I don't. Would've been fine otherwise if not for the canned nacho cheese sauce. That had a weird, off-putting flavor. There was actual provalone on the sandwich so I don't know why they feel the need to use the canned fake cheese. Loaded fries were okay after we brought them home and reheated them. When they came to the table, they were cold and the cheese (a sauce would've been a better choice in this case - but not the canned stuff) had hardened so the entire dish was just one big clump of fries.Update: I was at a conference for work at a hotel across the street and co-workers wanted to eat here. The food was better this time although one person had the Philly and their reaction to it was the same as mine. I had the falafel wrap and the fried feta. The falafel was one of the better ones I've had and the fried feta (as long as you use the sauce it comes with) was better than the other local restaurant that is known for it. I've added a star because this meal was so much better than the last couple I've had here.Service was still cold. The woman that greeted us was friendly but the rest of the staff, not so much.”

“I’m giving this all five stars because from all I can tell this is the best Pizza in Charleston, WV. Not the best I ever - but compared to other cities it’s a 4/5. The service there is great. I got the steak pizza and my friend got one but I forgot which. The horseradish was a bit hinted which was nice because I’m not super into horseradish but I can appreciate what they did with the pizza. They also gave a great selection of beers! If I go back to town I’d come here again.”

“I would give 6 stars if I could. The hot dogs are all unique and have something that everyone can enjoy! Atmosphere is great, with a new section just recently added on that offers better convenience options like chips, pop, gum, etc. and very friendly staff. I can’t recommend this place enough if you work in downtown Charleston and need a quick bite to eat.”
