9 Best Mexican Restaurants in Evanston

“Like having dinner with your friends from Mexico. I was working the summer on the interstate. Living in a hotel down the street from this place. Went to dinner there one day. It was so good and the family was amazing. We went there almost every night all summer. I live two hours away from Evanston now, but still make the trip several times a year just to see my friends and have the best Mexican food I have ever had, and I have traveled all over the place. You will not be disappointed. I recommend the the asada smothered burrito.“

“Excellent customer service yesterday they accidently made an extra burrito. Well its my new favorite thing. Whole thing was tastier, cheaper, and with much better customer servoce then taco bell. I do recommend their stake burritos“

“Kind of a hospital cafeteria architecture, but dressed up with personal artwork on the walls.
Stopped in with a colleague. I ordered one of each of three types of tamales and a Chai Tea Boba. That's all I got - 3 tamales - no rice and beans or lettuce. Served with a green sauce (mild) or a red sauce (spicy, but not hot). I had both, red and green and both were amazing as were all 3 types of tamales - chicken, pork and cheese.

“We always enjoy breakfast and lunch at El Paso! Portions are generous and prices are decent. The Paso Omelet is my new favorite. The bacon my hubby had was cooked to perfection, not too crisp, not too soggy. But guys: PLEASE replace the cushions in your booths and seats PRONTO! My tush hurts from sitting on a badly worn-out chair. All that aside, we'll be back.🙂“

“We went thru the drive thru last night and it took 26 minutes to get our food. We ordered 4 burritos and that was it. There was only one car ahead of us and once they left we spent 16 minutes of our time at the drive thru window.. With no explanation, I even got out and knocked on the window cuz I was in passenger seat and asked how much longer it would be all I got was I have no idea. I've worked in customer service for 30 years and work at two restaurants in town and I just would of handled the situation differently... Maybe an explanation, or a free drink if their allowed to do that. She did say sorry when she handed us our food. But 26 minutes is insane for a drive thru order. Than we got home and only had 6 packets of hot sauce for 4 burritos that's not even 2 per burrito just saying. But I love Taco Bell and will be back eventually.“
