“Great spot for some quick, delicious food. I got the burrito combo to share with my partner. There’s a complimentary bar with add-ins for your food, including cilantro, onions, limes, and various salsas and sauces (mild, medium, and hot).“
“If you want real authentic home style food this is your place the birria tacos are the best the asada fries are great with real fresh hand cut fries The burgers are freshly cooked and made just the way you want them nice juicy and extremely tasteful and to top everything off they have just the right salsa wether it’s mild, medium or spicy just right for the preference of any one in the group or to give your delicious food that extra authentic taste .Was also very surprised and excited to know they offer vegetarian options!!!!!Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian burritos tacos quesadillas“
“Fun Mexican spot with entertaining decor. We were a little put off by the open kitchen as we could see an employee eating what appeared to be shredded cheese out of a dish with an ungloved hand. The spicy margaritas were ok, not very spicy or strong.“
“One of my favorite restaurants to find on vacation is a hole in the wall/diamond in the rough and you can't get much more than an amazing taqueria built into the hot bar at a grocery store. This place was so good. I stopped in after picking up a few items at the grocery stores and opted to try the Mexican breakfast options while my family ate at the nearby Wasatch Bagel. It was one of the best breakfast tacos (actually, a Gordita) that I have ever had with a delicious and spicy hot salsa.“
“Zero notes for Don Gallo! I was impressed that they let a party of 9 make a reservation for a Friday night. They sat most of our party early and served up tostadas with a bean dip and salsa. The tostada itself was delicious! We ordered queso, elote, and guacamole for the table and it was all fresh and flavorful. I’ll take this moment to remark on the seamless service among our servers and wait staff. Our server, Melania C. was fantastic! She got our drinks in and out to us quickly, and helped our friend navigate the wifi situation so that he could find his tickets for the show at The Egyptian later that evening. Our group ordered so many things: cauliflower tacos (excellent), stew (five stars), fish tacos (a little on the dry side), ceviche (not a bite left over), and burritos. I ordered the Mexicano burrito with steak smothered in queso and I haven’t stopped thinking about it all weekend. I wish I was eating one right now in bed as I type this out. We also ordered a veggie version of the burrito smothered in mole and wow…it was a total knockout of flavor! All in all, it was a perfect dinner with zero drama, an excellent performance by the service staff, and a memorable meal provided by the kitchen. Well done, Don Gallo!“
“Have to admit being from CA I was a tad skeptical of eating Mexican food in SLC but..It was good! Reasonably priced too. Had the chicken burrito and I loved how it came with a whole bottle of salsa (your choice) instead of those dinky plastic cups of salsa you get at other places. The spicy one had a decent kick too which was nice. They also put lots of chicken in it. Yay for generous protein portions. I'd definitely come back here.“
“The people here are VERY VERY NICE. They will remember you and are very accommodating and care about creating a strong customer base. HOWEVER since it is a food truck, be prepared to eat outside or in your car (there's one picnic bench near outside). I got the birria ramen which was a MISTAKE. Not sure if all birria ramen is like this, but I could not finish this meal and I'm not a very picky eater. It's too salty already and just not good. Made my stomach hurt. However, I will stick with four because the prices are very reasonable and all my friend's food looked really good. Just avoid the birria ramen at all costs.“
“I read some crazy reviews including an aggressive one-star review for this fine establishment. Service was superb. Food was fantastic. Beer on tap in pitchers. What more do you need? I would give it seven stars if it was an option. The 2000 miles I traveled to get here with my family of 10 was well worth it. No “
“This was a decent little place to stop for some brunch in the mountains of Utah. We came during a snowstorm, so we were almost the only ones in the place. It's attached to a gas station, so if you're having trouble finding it, look for the gas station first. The food was fine. As Gen-Z would say, it was "mid". Nothing special about it, but it was enough to give us the energy to do some SCUBA diving. The atmosphere was fine as well.Getting in and out of here can be tricky when the snow is deep if you don't have snow tires or a 4-wheel drive.“
“Absolutely amazing. Stopped here on a whim and it was incredibly authentic. Almost everyone was speaking Spanish, the food and salsas were incredible and service was quick and hospitable. 10/10Kid-friendliness: Brought my toddler and infant and they accommodated with high chair.“
“OMG!! This Mexican restaurant was AMAZINGLY AWESOME!! The music set the mood, but it wasn’t loud enough to the point where we couldn’t hear each other and our own thoughts! On top of that, our waiter Michael was very attentive, any time we needed a refill, they were there! The appetizers came out so fast, as well as the food, I was shocked!! Normally when I eat at Mexican restaurants it takes forever for the food to come out! The food was delectable, and filling! The churros were phenomenal! Overall, Dos Olas is the place to eat at!! So what are you waiting for?! Hop on over to Dos Olas, one of the best Mexican places I’ve ever eaten at!!“
“Found this place by chance, what can I say, the food and service was incredible! Big shout out to Rafeala, she helped with the menu & was amazing with our 4 year old! Awesome margaritas ❤️Kid-friendliness: Rafeala was patient, helpful and played games with our daughter- she crashed out when we got home! Big thank you!“
“El Chubasco is one of the best meals we've had during our trip in Utah!✨ We loved everything that we ordered. The chips with all kinds of sauces and salsa that you can think of--we kept coming back for the mango habañero??? The enchiladas were so delicious! We also got empanadas and shrimp tacos. Everything was so fresh and incredible 10/10!“
