“Today I went to sushi Kinoya because of a recommendation from my math teacher.I tried the Baked Eel Roll, and everything was very fresh, and they put a very good amount of Eel. I give it a 9/10 excellent.The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed, and the servers were very good. I will be taking friends here and I recommend coming and trying this joint out.“

“Absolutely outstanding. Instead of our usual sushi + sashimi, we went with three rolls. Angel, a protein roll (no rice), and the {gifted} salmon roll. I can’t begin to articulate how beautiful and fresh and DIFFERENT each one tasted. Everything top notch. While I truly enjoy dthe previous owners/menu {mainly because of proximity and convenience to home}, the new owners have completely revamped decor, menu, service and WOW what an improvement. “Loved every single thing we ordered here! The quality of the sushi was seriously melt in your mouth. Parking absolutely sucked, we drove around the blocks multiple times until we came up on street parking behind the alley somewhere. It wasn't terribly busy, got there around 7:30 and was seated in 10 minutes as parties were leaving. The yuzu roll was such an explosion of beautiful flavors combined in your mouth, 10/10 recommend for yellowtail lovers! Ambience was dim, not too noisy and the music was quaint. Would definitely come back to this place next time I'm in the area.“

“Cool little sushi shop in a random little plaza right smack on Wardlow and cherry . I believe it's all other food places here in this small plaza so there is parking available to patrons. I have been here on 3 different occasions & have done both dine in & take out ! Usually a creature of habit so have got basically the same thing every time and it's been the crunch roll , gyozas, & miso soup & they smack every time. Service here is good , it's always the same lady and she's very nice. I've noticed they have lunch specials but have not come on during those times ! Plenty of room to dine in . Very nice and neat in there !“

“I have been coming here since it first open.This is my go to spot for sushi. The sushi is very good. I have tried everything on the menu and everything is good. There is something for everyone. The service is really good and everyone is friendly. There usually only two servers so sometimes expect a wait but it worth it. So please be friendly to them. I would give this a 5 star but everytime I have came there always some kinda of change like the menu or the chef so the food sometimes taste different everytime you go but in the good way.“

“This is very much the locals spot. You have to find parking to go to the window to order or pick up. Menu looks very cookie cutter but don't be fooled. You get to stand around and wait for food with everyone else. Which was great, all friendly locals. We even made a business connection.Now to the food. We got the chicken plate, patty melt, fried wantons and combo platter. Great amount of food for each item. But I can't express in words how on point the favor profiles are. Seasoning, spicy sweet all perfectly balanced. The sauce for the wantons so so good. Highly recommend you give this place a try.“

“Hidden gem. Our regular spot for great quality nigiri/sashimi. Rice is prepared well, good fish portions, smoked octopus is tender, and black cod is a must. The service whether at a table or sushi bar is top notch, and the ambiance is good for both families or a pleasant date night for two.“

“I ordered the beef teriyaki plate. It was ok. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade drink, but it did not taste organic. The strawberry lemonade tasted ok, not bad, but most likely, it has an artificial flavor to it. I noticed that when I came inside, the worker cleaning was nice and cool. I also noticed I almost sneezed inside, and I went outside to sneeze, and I couldn't sneeze. When I came inside, I saw the cashier sneeze ?. I just hope they are not sneezing a lot inside when they are close to the food and hope they are washing their hands every time. I got to my car with my food and drink and I ate a little bit then I sneezed. ??‍♂️?. The food was ok. But I do not know what made me sneeze or the cashier sneeze. I am feeling ok right now, though. I appreciate the service here.“

“I really like Japanese food and found this little place hidden away! I wanted some curry and ordered a Katsu Curry, but it was soooooo good! It was better than some I tried in Japan! It was about $14.50 which was really affordable, the service wasn't too responsive but I think it was because they were busy during lunch time. Next time I'll try to beef bulgogi don, anyway will visit again, I got my card on the stamp wall, it looks like they give you a $9 discount after ten stamps. But the best part is they don't require tips LOL“

I could've chosen a steak house, seafood, vietnamese, fast food, Italian, anything else but I went back here because it's been so long the first time I had sushi here the rolls were enormous! Almost double the size of your average sushi rolls from chain restaurants. The flavor is immaculate, they are generous with the sauce and to top it off It won't break your bank. They are reasonably priced despite inflation and the owners work there as well. No doubt this place deserves praise and recognition. My sister and brother in law just decided to make this their go-to sushi spot :)“

“It was good. I really enjoyed my poke bowl, and so did my asian mother who actualy doesn’t enjoy very much of anything not Chinese. My mother was kicking and screaming when I suggested the hanger. She was originally going to go somewhere else but I was very surprised when she brought a poke bowl back to our table. And she liked it. I ate a large, ate a half of a bowl, and brought the rest home. Put it in the fridge and took it out and just ate it and it was good! Some places the rice and other stuff isn’t good quality anymore, but nope this was just dandy. I got the brown rice, the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. I got most of everything. Got the asian sauce and the spicy mayo. I am accustomed to having poke bowls not as often but sometimes. But for my mother who I didn’t think would like it, to like it thats pretty good. It was her first time eating a poke bowl too.“

Try these yummy dumplings filled with Seasoned Chicken, Pepper Jack Cheese-filled dumplings, battered and crusted with corn flakes.
