Our bison burger was so tender, cooked med rare and the freshest beets, potatoes and carrots roasted . The carmel toffee dessert melted in your mouth. A server has a huge impact on the overall experience and Derrek was warm, welcoming, attentive, informative (knew the menu well) and had a great sense of humour. “We only go here to eat sushi when in Banff. You can choose fancier places in town but when it comes to good sushi this is place to go. Service was also very good. Our server was very nice. We had to go to a place where someone with celiac can eat and this place is great. They have it on the order. The chef receives the order with all allergens on it. It is also very quiet so it is very nice if you like a relaxed conversation while having lunch or dinner.“

“Banff's best kept secret? The townsite's restaurants were super busy due to Melissa's Run and it was difficult to get in anywhere to eat before late evening. The Vistas was quiet, and the buffet was amazing. There were lots of choices for any diet. And you cannot beat the incredible view! Call ahead to let them know how many are coming.“

“I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good“

Definitely a touristic atmosphere
Fondues were great and service exceptional

But if you’re looking to just dive in for regular steaks, I’d recommend going to a regular steakhouse given the portion

If you want to try something new (bison, elk, etc. ) this is the right place for you“

“Food is good enough for a resort pub. The beers were cold so that was nice. The place was super packed and the table near the door is not the best option as the door keep being open and service was super slow as they were overwhelmed. The Atmosphere is nice and casual. Overall it is an overall break in between ski runs“
