“Hurry here before the line is blocks long...If you have ever been to New York and eaten at Xi'an Famous Foods this is almost identical. The best hand pulled noodles I have had in North America by a long shot. Excellent texture and balance in all dishes, clearly made with love. Fast, polite and efficient service. This is a gem in the Calgary dining seen, and while some may want more seats in the restaurant I hope they never change.“

“Hidden gem of a local, family owned business. Fresh handmade buns that’s made with a lot of pride and love. Small, but niche menu, at an amazing price point!
Filling was flavourful but wish there was a bit more of it. Bun is nice and soft, not too thick but not too thin.
The owner was super friendly and passionate about her food, including the homemade chili oil. Which is mostly flavour, not heat. Glad to have this in the area! Will be back to try other things on her menu.
Seating is very limited, 6 spots, so be prepared to eat in your car/take out.

My wife and I (like most others on NYE) decided to order just before dinner time on the busiest night of the year. I went to pick up in person tonight as I usually do; because the staff here are so wonderful.

The restaurant was packed with delivery drivers. Most of which were complaining and beyond rude. It’s NYE and people all want Chinese food. It’s going to be a wait. Prepare for that.

Guess what though. It’s WORTH it. Pink Pearl is the best Chinese in Calgary. Ignore the bad reviews tonight from ignorant people (I literally heard the delivery drivers cancelling orders not the restaurant - these guys wanted to leave and make it look like the staff’s fault).

Order from here directly over the phone and “skip” the delivery service. Treat yourself to the best Chinese food and service out there.

“Had dinner here for my wife's birthday. We have been before but it has been years. We were not disappointed. The service, food and especially the prices are beyond compare. The portions are so generous we took home what we could not eat and have enough for at least one more meal for the two of us. So good!!!“

“This small, family run business was a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere was dated and spartan but the host was welcoming and warm. “This is, in my opinion, one of the most authentic Cantonese barbecue spots in Calgary. As someone who appreciates good Chinese cuisine, I can confidently say this is the best place for southern-style Chinese BBQ in the city. The flavors are incredibly genuine, and the dishes are consistently well-prepared, bringing a taste of traditional Cantonese cooking to Calgary.

The highlight for me has to be the roasted pork and crispy-skinned chicken. The roasted pork is tender and flavorful, with perfectly rendered fat and a deliciously crunchy skin. It’s not easy to find this level of quality outside of southern China, but they absolutely nail it here. Side note. I’m not sure what people commenting the food is bland are talking about. I guess they’re so used to msg and preservative filled food they don’t know what it’s supposed to taste like?
Also the whole meat to vegetable ratio? This place serves far more meat than any of the places I have ordered from within the last couple years.
Bottom line. Food tastes great. Portion size is great. We have found our new favourite Chinese take out.

“I've been going to Wok With Dave for several years, although I will admit I've had a long break over the past few years. The order was prepared quickly and was on time for pick up (although I did only order Hot & Sour Soup). I ordered Hot & Sour Soup and it was very subpar. There are hardly any ingredients in it. It should have Chinese mushrooms, bamboo shoots, lily root (although I've yet to find this in Calgary), and black fungus as well as bean curd (tofu). This order had what I think is tiny pieces of chicken, carrot strips and tofu, some tiny things that I think are bamboo shoots (but not many), nothing else that I could note. Food was very disappointing. I guess I'm on the hunt for a proper Hot & Sour Soup provider in Calgary again. Sigh.“

“It's has a really good and reasonably priced Buffet, and they do take-out and delivery too.
They had a nice variety of choices, was very tasty, and the staff were exceptionally nice, polite, and offered good service. The restaurant was also very clean.
Me and my friend really enjoyed our dinner here and will definitely return - excellent food at a really good price and nice staff, plus a good size and plenty of seating.
A rare little gem. I'm looking forward to returning.

Parking: They do have a waste surcharge, which I think is great. So, if you fill up your plate from the buffet and only take a few bites, you can get charged a waste surcharge fee for wasting a lot of food.
When you're eating at a buffet, you don't need to waste food, take only what you can eat, and go back for a bit more. There's no reason to fill up a plate and then take only a few bites.
