“I came here because of my friend’s recommendation, and they didn’t disappoint me! I tried the halibut claypot, and my friend had the smoked duck claypot. Both were absolutely amazing! The texture and flavor really impressed us. The staff were also very nice; I asked for extra claypot sauce and kimchi, and they brought plenty. Plus, the projector setup was really cool. I’ll definitely come back!“

When I came to pick up the order guy in the front was very polite and also very quick and helpful. Their beef satay was great. Good amount of beef right amount of veg. Fried was good, pretty standard for most places. Seafood wasn't bad but also was not the greatest. A lot of veg not enough seafood. But the sauce it self was good. Overall a good experience.“

“We’ve been here several times and already knew the food was great — we just didn’t realize it had become such a social-media famous spot! Reservations are highly recommended since it can get quite busy. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The owner even recommended a few dishes to us during a previous visit when it was less crowded, which was a nice touch. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s right on 16 Ave, but the restaurant stays open quite late — a rare find in Calgary. Definitely worth trying!“

“The food here is delicious. We went there for the dimsum but it seems that dimsum is not served at dinner time.

We ordered around 8-9 plated food (we were a big group), and everything tasted good. The kids love them as well. Moreover, our server was very nice. Finally, the bill was under 200 and we still had lots of food taken home.

Will definitely be back to try the dimsum

“Amazing food for the price. szechuan noodle was fill up very generously meat was tender though the pork can be a little overwhelming. Chicken was tasty well balanced with veggies and meat. And there was a block of cabbage which was funny but all good tasty.
The happy family meal was very tasty and flavourful and full. Took me lunch and dinner to finish.
10/10 love the place and food would buy again“

“Food was good, but there was an odd service observation. We ordered 5-6 dishes but forgot to order rice. Instead of pointing it out / making rice or noodles recommendations, the order was taken and food delivered. After everything was there we registered the issue and ordered, and waited as rice was delivered. I found this extremely odd service. Everything staff did was done well, but not highlighting a clear miss on our part leaves this as second rate service. Food was good though, no doubt.“

Really enjoyed the meal from Fortune One! The fried rice was flavorful with a nice mix of veggies, and the stir-fried veggies were fresh and crisp. The sweet and sour chicken had a great sauce and tender pieces, paired well with the egg roll. The portion size was generous, and the included water bottle was a nice touch. Service was quick for takeout. Only minor gripe was that the egg roll could’ve been a bit crispier. Definitely worth a try for a tasty Chinese meal!“

“Had dinner here for my wife's birthday. We have been before but it has been years. We were not disappointed. The service, food and especially the prices are beyond compare. The portions are so generous we took home what we could not eat and have enough for at least one more meal for the two of us. So good!!!“

As we were getting ready to leave I decided to order the Wor Won Ton soup with extra noodles, as soon as I got home I noticed that there was very little broth and both containers were filled with the ingredients, total disappointment with the soup guess it's better to eat in than take out.“

So I found John Wong’s and they were so pleasant on the phone, they said they delivered and the food came right on time. The food was great. It tasted good, it was hot. “Tried Hot N' Fast for the first time yesterday and loved it so much I had to have it the next day as well! It's hard to find vegetarian options when eating out, especially options close to home, and their chow fun noodles with black bean sauce (with either tofu or chinese mushrooms) really hits the spot. Lives up to it's name too - super hot and super fast! They are also super friendly. What a great find - highly recommended!“

“My nephew recommended Bamboo house and I ordered 4 medium platters for my wife’s birthday party. The order was cashew gai ding, ginger beef, Shanghai noodles with 3 meat and General Tao chicken, with a delivery time of 5 pm. The food was delivered exactly at 5 pm and this had to be the best Chinese food myself and our guests have ever had in Calgary. Very tasty, lots of food and a decent price. I would strongly recommend this restaurant!“
