“Best fast food experience I've had. The lady taking orders was very funny and had some funny jokes. As well the burger and fries were super hot temperature wise.

“Best Dairy Queen in the city. They don’t skimp you on everything from chocolate sauce mixed in your blizzard to ketchup packets to napkins nor tell you, you need to pay extra for a single ketchup after they only give you a single packet. Don’t bother settling for other locations because it may be convenient. Rundle and Chestermere suck. Go to this one every time!“

“I dont think Ive ever left a review at a fast food place but this Dairy Queen really stands out. Pleasantly surprised at the hospitality of the staff and we were even served at our table by the young man who took our order. They were generous with the amount of sauce on our burgers too, which can be hit or miss depending on the location, and fries tasted fresh. The space is also very clean and well-maintained. I love Dairy Queen but since they’re independently owned quality can vary drastically which sucks if you ever find yourself at a bad location. I just counted and at the risk of sounding big backed, this is the 8th Dairy Queen ive been to in Calgary and this is the best in quality of food, sweets, and service!“

“This is my favourite DQ Calgary! The interior is classic & cozy, and a great place to relax with friends. I love that they don't blast music which makes it a great place for conversations, and a nice atmosphere to unwind. The classic sunroom is the best place to sit. The food is always excellent, and they make top notch Blizzards! They are always super friendly, with great service, even when they are busy, and they are obviously a popular spot. I highly recommend a visit to this location, it is a gem!!!“

“Stopped by around 3 PM today and placed an order — and I’m usually pretty slow at deciding what I want 😂

The girl helping me was super patient and waited with a smile the whole time while I figured things out. She answered my questions one by one and was just genuinely really kind.

This location is usually clean and friendly overall, but today’s service really stood out. I honestly don’t get this kind of customer service at most fast food places.

It’s such a small thing, but she was really nice and genuinely made my day a little better, so I wanted to leave a review. Kinda wish I asked for her name.

“​I can’t thank the team here enough for coming through for my son’s birthday! I needed a cake on very short notice, and they handled the request perfectly.
​We ordered the Extreme Brownie Blizzard Cake, and it was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. You could tell it was made with genuine care. The staff was incredibly helpful and even assisted with some light customization to get us started. We added the remaining decorations ourselves to transform it into a duck pond theme, and it turned out fantastic. Every guest at the party loved it! If you need a delicious cake and excellent service, I highly recommend this location. One star off for not making the top surface blue as directed with gel as to give legit water pond effect.“

And even though I can’t understand why Dairy Queen still makes their people flip the blizzards upside down he always does it with a smile. “I ordered a Dairy Queen Blizzard and it was a really enjoyable treat. The ice cream was creamy and smooth, and the mix-ins were blended well so that every bite had a good balance of flavor and texture. Once a month I'll pop in for a treat on my way to/from running errands and today I thought how lucky we are in this community to have a clean, well managed DQ that time and time again has really friendly staff. They must be treated right here because they never fail to give me a smile and chat me up. Today I ordered something that isn't on the menu but I've been ordering it for 40 years... the Pecan Mudslide. The young man taking my order had no idea what it was or how to ring it up in the register, but he was kind and thoughtful to say he'd figure it out and in the end he did. “I came by for a chili dog and an ice cream, and I must say how impressed I was with the fellow behind the counter. When I walked up he immediately dropped whwt he was doing to take my order. He was quick witted like a classy bar tender, and despite being out of chili he suggested bacon bits on the dog that were just about as good. He got to work right away after the order and went right back to the cleaning he was doing before I got there.I didn't catch his name but you could tell this guy seriously take pride in his work and he's hot a generous nature.It was a unique and personable experience, definitely not what I'd expect from a large franchise restauraunt like DQ. 10/10“

“Went to Dairy Queen on Simcoe Street in Oshawa purchase to peanut buster parfait no it's been a while it looks like different owners different people I'm not too sure but when the guy finished with it it looked like a regular Sunday you guys have gotten pathetic and what you charge I can easily go to an ice cream store and receive twice the value of a type of ice cream than what you are charging compare these pictures to the ones that you advertise tell me I didn't get ripped off no more purchasing from you guys“

“This small location is run by a lovely husband and wife team. They are always friendly and cheerful, even when business is slow because school is out. They remember my kids and ask how they are doing.The ice cream is well made - I loved the old Turtle blizzard recipe and when I come here to order it, they get it exactly right. Thank you for still making my favorites even if they're not on the menu!In response to those complaining about no free blizzards, please remember that each DQ location is a franchise and that the owners can decide what promotions to participate in. Rent at Mac Hall is expensive. It would be tough to give away free blizzards to every university student who downloads an app...“

Five Years Earlier
Over the years we've ordered many cakes from this location. I've brought in photos for the artwork (yoshi, beenie boo's, a Tesla to name a few) & every cake ends up looking even better than the picture I brought!“

“I've been getting my daughter's ice cream cake here almost every year for ten years. Yes the decor it's a little dated but it's retro, yes the food is dependant on which staff is working but what place isn't like that. The best part about this location is the friendly staff. I've never had any real issues and when one comes up, this staff is quick to find a solution. Just wish we still lived in the NW. Thank you for all the great cakes!

Parking: The parking spots are tight for newer cars and people often struggle, so watch your surroundings and be careful. Seen plenty of cars scuffed up because they didn't take into account how narrow the whole place is.“

“Twerkie is an amazing young Lady! She’s helpful, understanding & friendly. We ordered 2 Blizzards a few weeks ago, and they were not pleasant tasting. She invited us to return & she’d permit a taste test prior to creating the Blizzards herself. The Skor & Strawberry Cheesecake restored not only our faith in DQ, but also our taste buds, and loyalty. Ella was also present on the initial purchase date, and again today. Both were polite and cordial, true treasures for the DQ Team! Thanks very much ⭐️“

“The Pros= Been Coming hare for years to get my Birthday Ice Cream Cake for Years. And we have to say we were never disappointed as we found that the inside is always Clean and Kept. And I don’t know it’s the timings but it’s always quite in there, as there always no costumers but I guess in a way it’s a Bad Thing Business Wise. But as for Customer Wise it’s kind of nice after a Very Long Day of Birthday Shopping for myself. But Regardless we’ve always Felt that the Costumer Service had always exceeded our Personal Expectations.

As they’ve always Remember to ask us if we wanted anything written on the cake. And even today when they had to Unlock the Freezer and grabbed the cake that we wanted. And speaking of we were never disappointed with the selections they have. And we’re never disappointed by the taste either, and not just that but also the Ice Cream Always lasts us until early January.

One of the best part we felt like we got a Discount on the Ice Cream Cake that we choose as it was suppressed to be $68 but we got it for $39. And as for the other food they have everything was pretty good, especially their Banana Split Ice Cream. And That Should Do It For The Pros.

The Cons= Unfortunately this year they never mailed out Coupons like other years. And I feel that they could have done a tiny better job at Clearing the Curb. And I really not sure how I feel about them Locking Up the Freezers. And That Should Do It For The Cons.

Final Thoughts= And Remember These Are Just My Own Personal Views And Thoughts. Yours Could Be Deferent And I’m Okay With That. And that should do it for now.“

“This dq doesn’t accept dq‘s mobile app’s points, cause they don’t have anything to scan the barcode on your phone with. But apart from that, had great service and they were very nice and gave us caps and a carrying tray for our blizzards.“

“Queen of Vanilla Sundae.
If one craves for the typical vanilla sundae cone, no need to go anywhere else but the Queen.
Sundae is consistently good, creamy and balanced here. They are one of experts when it comes to ice creams after all. Too bad that they don’t have coffee flavored ones even in their Blizzard line up here in Calgary. Nevertheless, it’s good.

Place is always clean and quiet. Outdoor benches and table is available for your convenience.

Parking: Parking is free for all and usually has an available slot due to the establishment located in a strip mall.

Kid-friendliness: Dairy Queen is created for kids and kids at heart.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, doors and clearances are good for wheelchairs and persons with disabilities.“

“This is hands down the best DQ in Calgary!!! They load the blizzards to the max, the food comes out fresh and hot and the staff are very lovely. Side Note: This DQ hires local youth from the community and I think that is so crucial especially now when kiddos are struggling to find jobs.“

“I haven’t been to DQ in ages, and placed an order. Unfortunately, there was an issue with my order; I stopped in to speak to someone about it. I was impressed with the readiness to correct the error and make good on what I had ordered. I think the true test of service is what happens when something goes wrong. I’m happy this was handled so well. It was painless for me, and I really appreciate that. Store is very clean. Ice cream desserts are super well made, and I loved the cupfection which had a lot of Oreos and an entire brownie in it. Also, some DQ ice cream is not tasty (location dependent), but this location always has the best ice cream.“

“I was waiting for my wife in the mall this afternoon to get her hair done. I decided to grab a quick drink while I waited. I want to give a big shout out for the young man serving us. As I lined up, I noticed that he was the only one working. Even though there was a line, he never got rushed or flustered. When it was my turn to order, he calmly asked how he could help me. I gave him my order for a Julius and he proceeded to make the drink correctly and quickly. I asked him if he was all alone there and he replied yes but that is fine. “Came here last month to get a customized birthday cake. Inderpreet helped me over the phone and then when I came to the store to finalize my order. She was very helpful and accommodating the whole time and was very patient with me since I hadn’t done this before, even making helpful suggestions.
