If you're new to Edmonton and love Japanese styled and inspired foods you HAVE TO COME HERE. “Where do i start? This was my first time here with my mom and we were blown away! Beautiful little restaurant, this place is a GEM! It was packed for a Wednesday, but the service was consistent and incredible! The tables have extra napkins and there's a nice container with some wooden chopsticks. Your food is served on little wooden boards which was awesome! The wasabi looked like it was in the shape of a flower. The details at this place are amazing . Alot of severers and all of them were so sweet and attentive . I love the tiny portions here, it lets you trt everything on the menu without getting stuffed on rice! The sashimi is small and thin, which is just perfect. Most of the items you get only 2 pieces, you get little rice and its great! Most ayce places give you so much rice with your rolls and the portions are huge. Everything here is delicate and balanced. The beef tatayki was my favorite! Three strips of deliciousness . It makes you order more! I really enjoyed getting my sushi in controlled portions. Because of this me and my mom ate alot. We tried the toro which was extra, but it was melt in your mouth. Theres also an option here to get raw food to cook on a stone! We didnt do that, but you can get fish, shrimp, mussels and steak! You cook it right at your table . Most of the food we had melted in our mouths. What i really enjoyed was that we got everything in all our orders. We didn't have to repeat any items like we do at other sushi places. 10/10, sushi toshi is our favorite place now!!“

Pleasant, peaceful unassuming little restaurant, Japanese owned. I got their beef Bento which felt authentic, fresh and definitely on the high end of Edmonton quality. They focus on more traditional offerings here so none of those fusion rolls etc. Definitely will be back if I want to fill my sushi craving within Edmonton. 😀“

“I wanted to thank every customer who visited this store. My dad bought this store back when he was in his 30s, and now, in his 60s, he’s finally decided it’s time to retire. Over the years, he poured his heart into this place, serving countless customers and building relationships with so many of you who came back time and time again. Your support truly meant the world to him.

Now, the store is in the hands of young new owners, who are ready to carry the torch and work their way up just like my dad once did. I just wanted to wish them all the best and I hope the community continues to show them the same support and kindness that you showed my dad for all these years.

“First time being here. So happy I stopped in for lunch. This Izakaya is fantastic for shareable and drinks. The daily half priced lunchtime ramen is amazingly good. Hand pulled noodles and great broth. The place is packed with people now. Waiter told me the owners ran Ramen Misoya downtown but sold it and now just focus on this place. 2 Chefs are trained in authentic Japanese Ramen soup n Japan. Takoyaki was creamy and piping hot. Yum!

Used to come often but the last time I came in the evening, the owner was very rude to a delivery driver and was yelling at him that they had no orders and kicking him out despite the driver showing him his pick up order number. I’ve eaten sushi all over the world, and Kabuki Sushi ranks among the best I’ve ever had. As far as Edmonton goes, this is hands down the best spot for sushi.

“I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint, the wait time after we ordered was about 15 mins. The flavours of the food is so good! We went with assorted sushi and Unagi was served warm and it was delicious and probably the best one out of all the items that we tried. The place have a lot of tables even for bigger groups, the place was quiet even when pack with people.

The place is close to high level bridge and walterdale bridge which i would say a nice walk after eating here would be nice too.

“I ordered on Uber eats and I am from BC and I have been craving sushi good sushi in Edmonton Alberta I have tried various places I didn't know this one existed there's one thing I was searching for and that was sockeye salmon you won't find that very commonly in Edmonton that's the only type of salmon that I like and they make and use it I had a delicious Alaska roll with smoked salmon on top asparagus and I think it had cream cheese in it it was absolutely delicious and I had some nigiri salmon nigiri sockeye sandwich and the Misty soup is good and they have the best sunonomo salad and they make a good kimchi too I would recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a good Japanese food in Edmonton“

“They do not take reservations, you have to be hungry earlier than 6 pm if you want to make sure you get a seat right away. There is a generous waiting area however.
Our first time here with my family and it was SO GOOD. There were a lot of staff going as fast as they could but they were all friendly and accommodating when we stopped them. You just have to ask.
The manager (?) was very nice from the beginning and at the end the person who took our payment remembered to ask how our dinner was.
I really the atmosphere - not a big place but very modern, bright, and fun. The playlist was not my jam but it was pleasant and fades into the background.
We were seated at a large 6 person booth and it was very comfortable for us. There is only a small round grill at the centre of each table so with all the meat we ordered it took a bit but that was okay since we were a family; it would probably be a bit small if you were with friends though. I'd want my own grill.
We tried most of the items on the menu except for the sushi rolls. Next time I'd like to try those. The steak was a lot bigger than I expected, like almost a full 7 oz and very tender. All of the meat to grill items were excellent. When I saw the volume of the food I was very happy the rest of our order was canceled. It is truly all you can eat and no limit on anything! We ordered so much salmon! The variety of sushi and grilled meats is huge. My 8 and 9 year olds love steak and sushi and this is the most affordable way to do it.
We didn't order much sushi but the salmon was fresh (but cold) and the chop chop (our favorite sushi) was very good. Dessert selection is limited. Only 2 options for ice cream and a tapioca pudding which was very nice.
The spring rolls were different but tasty, a white meat and green cabbage. Ginger beef was yummy. Takoyaki was so-so. Agedashi tofu was good. Crispy scallop was so-so. Beef tataki was very nice.
Our dinner was just under 2 hours long with a little bit of waiting sometimes when we had to ask the server to check on our orders. I loved the ordering system with your phone. It'd be nice if you could see on there if your food was on the way though, ha. Our first sushi order disappeared but it was a good thing because when the first half of our order arrived we realized they were full sized steaks.
Overall our experience was quite enjoyable and we all loved the food. For the quality and the quantity I thought the value could not be beat. I cannot wait to go back and try other things.“
