“Best fresh seafood on the coast.“

“The seafood here is phenomenal! We ordered the shrimp platter and the catfish platter. The shrimp were huge...the biggest I have ever eaten! The catfish were delicious as well. Our friends suggested Bayou Seafood, and we are glad they did! This is an excellent stop just off I-10 before Mobile and Tillmans Corner. We highly recommend!!!“

“Quality is typically very good. although inconistant. occasionally, dending on the cook, fish can be over cooked. Please, never put sugar in hush puppies. Is there a Yankie cook on board, if so educate this person or send this person back North.“

“My family loves The Lighthouse! We had the best experience this evening. My sister & I brought our kids after the DI Mardi Gras parade. Two adults with a 6 year old, two 5 year olds, a 1 year old & a 9 month old. We had a 35 minute wait, but it went by fast. We had a great server, she was so sweet. Our girls were a little loud, but the whole restaurant was loud due to it being busy, a drink got spilled but we cleaned it up. We had two older women and a man sit at the table behind us & they were constantly staring, talking about us & our children. I guess we were a bother to them, I was very upset about it. After we paid, a tall man who works in the back came out and told us not to go anywhere yet, that he had something for the girls. He brought out 3 popsicles & opened them for them 🩷 My sister said he had been looking out from behind the counter and thought he had noticed the situation. Even if he didn’t, he was so kind and it made everything better. Just made me love the restaurant even more. Our food was 10/10 as always!“

“This is always our first stop upon arriving on the island. As soon as we come across the bridge, we head for a shrimp po'boy with a view! The food is always awesome, the beer cold, and the service friendly.“

“My niece Kim McConnell Lundy bought shrimp potatoes and corn for my brother's birthday and they were the best I've had in years !!! Yes the seasoning helps, but those fresh shrimp were the bomb!!! The best I've had in many years. Keep it up!“

“this was our last meal out, I was insistent that we eat there..we had already eaten at island seafood, pirates, Lambert's...ALL wonderful ..three of us had seafood fettuccini, a bit of salt and pepper helped it, brother in law had red snapper, it was tough and no flavor, my wife's chopped steak , she could only eat half .tossed the rest. then waited 30 minutes for our $56.00 to go order, while it sat in a bag on a table getting cold for my son in law absolutely no excuse....if I could give it a one, I would. will not be back. Lastly, I prefer to tip based on merit....for a place to automatically charge a 20% gratuity...it certainly wasn't worth it. I also clicked on DO NOT RECOMMEND...looks like voting machines from 2020...“

“What else can I say but WOW. We stopped by for a dozen shucked oysters on a half shell and we're not disappointed. The oysters were smooth and buttery with just the slightest hint of brine. No need to add salt, these are perfect just the way they are. Friendly staff and some of the best tasting oysters I've ever had. They are family owned and operated with a unique story. Don't miss out on this gem. Stop by, have you a dozen and don't forget a t-shirt! You won't regret it“

“Delicious ? visiting area. Ate there several times!! Seasoned fries, burgers with all the trimmings, spicy but awesome jalapeno poppers!! Best I've ever eaten! The staff are amazing at Bayou La Batre. They are funny, happy, great friendly service made to order. Awesome chicken strips !! My fur babies love them too. We will be back!!“

“We went for lunch during the week and nobody was there. We had quick service and promptly ordered Pelican Eggs- fried deviled eggs and drinks (their Beach Crack was fantastic!). Our main entrees were fish of the day, ahi tuna tacos (I didn’t think they would be so good but they were!), and a salad for my vegetarian daughter. I was able to substitute their seafood gumbo for my side with an up charge. We enjoyed it so much we’re going back tonight for dinner.“
