“El Vecino Mexican restaurant has great food with great service and a very good atmosphere. My wife and I love the trio fajitas, which come with tender steak, grilled shrimp, and chicken.
The portions are large and I guarantee you will be satisfied!“

“Nice small authentic Taqueria. It's not a big fancy restaurant, what is honest quality food. Amazing. Great for lunch or a quick husband wife dinner. Casual. They got a wonderful Habanero cream sauce for tacos that gives a little kick but tastes great.“

“I love the food. Service is always quick. My one and only favorite is the veggie fajitas with all the veggies. The guac salad is good and chunky. They have karoke on Fridays and Saturdays which makes for a fun and entertaining time with family. I give them a double thumbs up.“

“It is the best organic Mexican food that I have had. Everything is fresh and delicious. If you like Mexican food like I do, you really need to try it. “Let me start this review by saying our server "Flo" was not only hospitable but so sweet. I immediately felt taken care of as she explained the menu to my grandmother with a friendly and reassuring smile. I ordered "The Hawaiian" which was a sizzling fajita plate with steak and pineapple as well as the usual mix of peppers and onions. It came out hot, seasoned and delicious. The portion was hefty and the three soft tortillas included with the meal were not only wrapped in foil to retain heat, they were soft and fresh. Couldn't recommend this place more!“

“The food was hot and flavorful and didn't take too long to prepare. The chimichanga was nicely browned/ crisp as I like it. The chicken was shredded thoroughly and was tender and juicy with a hint of pepper heat , with only sparse pieces mingled in the filling.The prices for the lunch special were reasonable. I believe that this dish, which comes with rice and beans, is usually covered in cheese alone, though they happily added tomatoes for me. The cashier served me and another couple who ate in, and several customers picked up lunch orders. I believe the chandeliers must be remnants of the old Hickory House that originally occupied that building as they clash a bit aesthetically with the heavy and brightly painted ,carved furniture. The bench sit was very comfortable. The large space filled with light. But there seemed to be a bit of a cold draft nearest the windows. It's hard to tell, though, as the ceiling fans were still all running on high up in the high ceiling . I was especially pleased with the flavorful rice as it is the first I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant that was spiced/tomato sauced heavy enough. Overall, I believe I will visit again when in the area.“

“I’m way behind in offering a recommendation for the Homewood location of Maya. Between there and the Alabaster location, my Mexican food cravings are more than covered and they are always patient with my substitutions and the like. Service is top-notch and the food is excellent. Highly recommended!“

“Best tacos hands down. Tacos are always packed with lots of meat and served w/ grilled nopales (cactus) and cebollita taquera(green onion). They give you green and red salsa bottles to take to your table to enjoy throughout your meal. For drinks they offer Jarritos or agua frescas. Aside from tacos they also have quesadillas, pambazos, burritos, etc.“

“Very friendly staff with good helpful service. Was honestly surprised to see Mole on the menu. Wasn't the best mole but it's sometimes hard to find to begin with. The rest of the food we had was amazing. I've lived in mexico before and the vibe was pleasant, the horata was good and the corn tortillas was how they make them in mexico, very authentic, very delicious. Eager to go back and try some other dishes.“

“On December 27th, my family had a wonderful experience eating at this restaurant. Amazing fast service and everyone was super nice, and the food was great as expected in this chain. We love eating at Moe's, and we sure wish I lived closer to give this one more business. Next time through we will definitely be back!“
