“I came into town for the Florida vs Alabama baseball series, and this place was highly recommended by locals and lived up to the expectations.

I had a western omelette with sausage, a small side of grits, and two stacks of pancakes, and everything was excellent.

The omelette was cooked just right and full of flavor, the grits were warm and smooth, and the pancakes were soft and fresh.

The food came out hot, the service was great, and the overall experience was on point. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast. I will be back.“

“This place is a mixed bag. The steak was great, and prepared perfectly. The rest of the food was only so-so (baked potato, sweet potato, salad, spinach and artichoke). The service was good, but an error was made taking down the order - and resolved on the bill. Aesthetically, the place needs help. They might have been doing the best with what they had a few years ago, but when you're now charging $60+ for a steak, the place should look a little nicer than a school cafeteria from the '80's.“

“Enjoyed Lakeside Dining several times at UA. Large selection of food and a deserts area. The stir fry area is great depending on the cook, and plenty of other options to go along with. Sweet area has lots of cookies and cupcakes to fatten you or your child up lol“

“I never write reviews, but the service and server was horrible. To forgetting things we asked for when taking our orders, to getting rude when asking for the things we asked for when we ordered our food. Brought our checks out , and then said she had to add gratuity, even tho one of my friends had already paid her ticket. She voided it out, and gave her the new ticket. Charged me gratuity on the 2 To-Go orders I had on my ticket. Thank goodness the manger split the Check up. The server was literally talking over my friend that was with us that was explaining the problems we were experiencing, and the manager finally told her to leave the conversation. We love the Gardendale location, we always go there with my daughter's whole ball team, and never once were we charged gratuity, and the service and food have always been excellent. The manager said, it was from corporate is the reason for mandatory gratuity for people 6 and over. Totally not true!!! Would NOT recommend the Tuscaloosa Mugshots!!!“

“I love Buffalo Phil's! It's the first place I bring out of town friends. The wings are delicious, but pretty small. I always get the parmesan garlic, but mix up whether I get the tots or fries. The sides are a large portion. I really enjoy the patio area when the weather is nice. I have been able to find a single seat at the bar or grab a table for two on games days very fortunately, but it can be tough.“

“We’ve been in Tuscaloosa several years but I’m not a huge BBQ fan (I’ve lived in too many BBQ towns, KC, Memphis, etc and had it all) but BBQ is the hubby’s absolute fave, so we visited Dreamland this weekend because it’d been awhile. Honestly, as someone who was not looking forward to eating BBQ anywhere, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I had the BBQ baker - if you’ve had a similar dish at Jim n Nicks, it’s not nearly as good as the one I had at Dreamland. Also, dipping white bread in BBQ sauce that was warm and fresh was unexplainably good. Hubby was super happy with the ribs and our teenager enjoyed the sausage plate and said the okra was almost as good as his Mimi’s ;) (that’s a high bar folks, she’s a pro). Service was quick and friendly. I won’t be nearly as hesitant to eat BBQ next time the hubby asks!“

“Ok I love Mr G’s in Northport but we just had the worst experience there. We ordered 2 ham and cheese sandwich’s, one with fries and the other with side salad. After around 45 minutes with no food I went to check on it. The cashier went in the back and asked about it and they were shaking their heads so she came and printed out another ticket. I heard one of the men ask her something in an irritated voice and she told him she was just checking on her order. I had been very nice up until I heard him get an attitude so obviously I felt I needed to get one to. She came back and said they were just waiting for them to come out of the oven. I said really then why were they acting like they didn’t know there was an order if it was in the oven. I could tell she was getting flustered having to deal with them and I was starting to get more than just annoyed so I just said ok and went back to my seat. After another 20 minutes we got our food. I noticed the man that had ordered after us walking up to the register with his receipt and when he came back by I asked if he was still waiting on his food. He was and said that if they ever got their food they were never coming back. When we finished and were leaving they were still sitting there waiting. Mr G’s you may have just lost a lot of return business tonight.“
