“Nothing too exciting on the menu but a really good selection nonetheless. I'm always excited to see rice noodles on a Chinese menu. The egg drop soup warmed my soul and was perfect for a chilly afternoon. The general tsos was good but needed more heat. Our waitress was efficient and polite. Food came out fast and hot. The establishment was clean. This will probably be our go to spot for quick Chinese!“
“Had such a great time here tonight. The owner was friendly and the food was amazing. I ordered the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The orange chicken wasn't overly sweet and had a hint of ginger? and it had perfect breading, not to thick. The Mongolian beef was spicy!!! Tasted like a totally different dish with purple onions and not sweet. And they didn't skip on the beef. Definitely coming back for the sesame chicken and buffet to try all of the different "new to the area" dishes. The pepper chicken wings were good too. ??“
“We never dine in, always pick up only but it's a nice, calm atmosphere inside the restaurant. My daughter loves the shrimp lo mein here. All of the chicken entrees we have tried are delicious. The egg rolls are a fave of mine. The food is always fresh and hot when you pick it up.“
“If the place doesn’t have a plastic container with a faded lid and a tiny little spoon, containing the house chili oil, or the squeeze bottle with the top cut off just enough to make you work for the chili garlic paste….. Do you even pho though?! “Side of Vietnamese fried pork egg rolls with a delightful fish and vinegar sauce)“
“We tried Ming’s Cuisine for the first time for lunch and were not disappointed. Service and food were excellent. Lunch comes with soup, egg roll and an entree. Hot and sour soup was delicious. Kung Pau chicken, Paper Steak and Sesame Chicken were all delicious. We will be back again!“
“This is our family and friends' favorite Chinese restaurant. You get the same great quality dining in or if you have it delivered. The family that owns this restaurant is absolutely wonderful and much loved in our community. When our supper club has dinner here, we always have a great turnout!“
“I’ve never had ramen like this before and it was really good. Table side service was nice. I do wish places that have you order by kiosk, like this one, would give more options in the kiosk. We were able to ask for what we needed, but if you’re going to make me order on a screen, then what’s the point?“
“Excellent food and service here! You most definitely get your money’s worth, here. I can order a dinner plate and have food for 2-3 days. I don’t have children, but it seems like this place would be perfect for family, too. You can definitely order two dinner plates and have food for a whole family of 4. The yum yum sauce is perfect! Make sure to order a small cup of it with your meal. Sushi is also delicious, my favorite is the Calera roll. Can’t say enough good things about this place (:Vegetarian options: Section on menu for vegetariansParking: Parking lot connected to Publix parking lot, several options availableKid-friendliness: High chairs available and kid friendly meals on the menu“
“I went there because my husband and I were tired of every restaurant skimping on the meat and putting in too much filler. It was great food, cooked well, and a good price. It actually has no atmosphere -- It is a take-out place -- but I didn't want their rating to be impacted by something that is not relevant so I gave them a 5 on that too.“
“Our favorite for Oriental Cuisine. All the food is very fresh and crisp and the floor is outstanding. When we make the 45 minute drive here, we always make sure to stock up with a to-go order so we can enjoy it the next day also. Portions are large and prices are reasonable considering the quality ingredients they use to prepare a fantastic meal. Highly recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: In a plaza. Easy access.“
“When I saw this place was reopening, I actually screamed.Food is amazing, portions are big, and prices are great. They seriously have top tier teryaki chicken + shrimp, best yum yum sauce I've had in Birmingham, and amazing lo mein. I haven't had anything that isn't amazing. 10/10. Can't wait to have my bi-weekly Ooka takeout nights back!“
“China Bistro is my go to place for good Chinese food. The staff is always nice and accommodating. My food has always been ready when they say it will be ready!Dietary restrictions: They never have a problem modifying an entree to make it Vegan.“
“I recently went to Black Pearl in Birmingham and it was outstanding. The Mongolian Beef was flavorful, the dumplings were a delight, and the Egg Drop Soup was perfectly seasoned. What made the experience even more special was the excellent customer service and the owner, Michelle, who was incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend for a top-notch dining experience!“
“Lol, the very first review says "authentic" Chinese food....errr.....no. It's really not lol. You want authentic, try Mr.Chen's, some of their menu items are indeed authentic. Anyway, the food here is pretty standard for "Chinese" restaurants like these. Good sized portion with okay food. Good value for your money, but don't expect too much. I personally think the dishes with water chestnut can do without quite so much of it....and I like water chestnut! Not a fan of their egg rolls at all. I do like their soups that come with the lunch specials though. No specific recommendations....honestly all the dishes seem pretty similar when you get them!“
“Enjoyed a quiet evening visiting a new Chinese Restaurant. Enjoyed a cup of hot and sour soup and the Mongolian combination Chef's special with white rice. Also tried and egg and spring roll. Will have to come back and try other dishes. Heard that they have a great lunch buffet. Worth checking out.Vegetarian options: Pick your veggies.“
“Another great find in Hoover! The takeout was as savory and authentic as advertised. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu and hope to visit soon.Vegetarian options: Choose to your delight.Parking: You have free parking and lots of spaces to choose from.“
“Nice, quiet, peaceful dining area. We got the Cream Cheese Harumaki, the Combination Egg Foo Young, and the Orange Chicken. The Orange Chicken was our favorite. We got a side of hot chili oil that we added to it, it was great. Bold citrus flavor with orange peel zest, sweet, bitter, and spicy. Very nice.Want to try the Twice Cooked Pork next time!“
“Food tastes freshly cooked, prices are very fair. The portions could be larger but the quality is significantly better than anywhere else I've been so I'm fine with it. Less than $12 for lunch and a large drink is better than a fast food restraunt and much better.“
“Lunch has a buffet. Dinner is takeout only. It takes about 15 minutes to make an order and walk out the door. You can order and pay online. Food is not kept under warming lights, so pick up on time or food may get cold. I love their chicken fried rice. The Triple Delight is also good. I do not recommend the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken. It's nothing like the Japanese restaurant. It's very "Chinese-style", in a sauce with green pepper and onion, and tastes only like green pepper.“
“Happy China has hands down the best Chinese in town. Unfortunately I don't go to this side of town often but when I do I stop in for a quick bite! Their egg drop and wonton soup is amazing! Warm, hearty and its own flavor compared to other Chinese establishments in the area. We also really love the owner and her kids - they are so sweet. You feel like family. I can't recommend Happy China enough!“
“Awesome food for dinner. Steak, ribs with barbeque sauce that fall off the bone, fried shrimp,, catfish, crawfish. Salad bar, sushi bar with hibachi, and dessert bar with bananna and chocolate pudding, coffee cakes. A ice cream bar with three flavors. Everything you want in one place with plenty of seating in four different seating areas. Saturday and Sunday is all day dinner buffet.“
“If you’re looking for bare bones. Great Chinese food this is the spot. I have the teriyaki chicken skewers on top of pork fried rice. Wonderful. I eat at restaurants all around the country. Always looking for great Chinese spots. This is definitely on the list.Parking: You could park an army here“
“NO WAY. NOT BELIEVING MY TONGUE. BEST MEI FUN IN BHAM HOOVER METRO AREA. I was just looking for a Chinese place closest to Costco and what a pleasant surprise!!!!!! The owners are so nice too! They know how to do American Chinese food right. It's a to-go place so I recommend taking out than dining in. Gonna try out other stuff whenever I stop by at Costco too!!!“
“You may have to wait on a few items to be remade but the crew communicate well and are respectful. Particularly, the light skinned black lady( I can’t remember her name). She was really nice to me as I waited for my food. Also, the place inside is clean and well taken care of. My food was also hot, fresh, and tasty.Parking: There’s always about 20 spots to park.“
“This is a small restaurant, but the food is very good. My wife and I ordered from the Lunch Specials menu; she had Mandarin Chicken and I had Hunan Chicken. Both dishes were delicious, and the portions were hardy. The service was friendly and efficient. We hope to return soon to order dinner from the main menu.“
