“This place serves real BBQ. Fast and hot. Past 3 BBQ place on the way to it. All 3 places where empty. Like ghost towns. But at Uncle Sam's it had a line of cars for take out around the building and in side to place orders. Very impressive. Look at the meat on those bones. LoL Beats what I had in Birmingham, AL the night before at another place. Which I won't mention. With no meat on their bone ribs. LoL“

“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“This was our first visit to Jubilee Joe's, but it won't be our last. The food we ordered was amazing. The Etouffè was the best I have ever eaten, wonderful flavor and a nice kick of heat. We enjoyed it so much, we got some to go. The Seafood Gumbo was top notch. Again amazing flavor. The service was fantastic, as well. Friendly and attentive. “The service here is amazing! I recently ordered the chicken hibachi with extra veggies and yum yum sauce to go. I didn’t check the food before I left and when I got home they gave me extra noodles instead of veggies. I messaged them on Facebook to let them know of the mistake and they offered to remake my order for free at my convenience! I went and picked up the remade order a week later and they even gave me the extra yum yum sauce and apologized again when I picked up the food. Great customer service and the food is amazing 🤤 Will definitely be back with family and friends!“

“I had such a beautiful birthday dining experience at Brock’s, and I absolutely had to leave a review. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, everything felt warm, elevated, and intentional.

The lamb chops were cooked to perfection — medium, exactly the way I requested them — tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The au gratin potatoes (white & sweet)were rich and comforting and were absolutely divine. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

I also enjoyed the roasted red pepper soup and ended the evening with the berry trifle dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful meal. You can tell care goes into both the presentation and the quality of the food.

What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service from Kat. She was attentive, kind, professional, and helped make my birthday dinner feel genuinely celebrated. The drink menu was elevated but felt extremely short for a cocktail lounge. The staff did a great job, but were clearly struggling to keep up with the crowd.

“My friends and I had the best time being served by Dominique at Cracker Barrel in Bessemer. Servers are hit and miss these days in giving good service, so we were so delighted to have such a wonderful and attentive waitress who gave us excellent service. Dominique was so friendly and outright charming and made us laugh so hard. I haven't had such a good time out in a long time. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. I was not disappointed either as the food was excellent. Thank you, Dominique, for being so great at your job. I will always ask for you when I come to that Cracker Barrel.“
