“The service or the customer service was awful for my opinion, everything went bad to me , I just came today because I have a free reward to get5 chicken nuggets , the cashier Brittney needs more training, i told her that was free and the end of this I paid for and I talk to a supervisor I guess and she treat me as a mother when is upset so it was not a good visit this time , I was so happy and grateful for my reward but at the end was unpleasant“

“This past Saturday, I treated myself to a me date a day dedicated entirely to myself. After indulging in a relaxing one-hour massage, I found myself absolutely starving. Wanting to try something new, I continued my exploration of Homewood’s restaurant scene and landed on The Battery. I met my aunt there for lunch, and as soon as we arrived, I knew we were in for a treat. The place was packed inside and out which is usually a great sign. After about a 15 minute wait, we were seated. The interior had a modern, inviting atmosphere, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was incredibly kind, answered all of my questions, and I never once had to ask for a refill. Despite the restaurant being full, the service was impressively quick, and every dish arrived hot. Appetizers Buffalo Wings – The wings were well-sauced and smoked to perfection, with the meat falling off the bone effortlessly. However, the biggest letdown was the lack of seasoning. While the smoky flavor was great, the wings themselves needed more depth. 7.9/10 (With proper seasoning, this would easily be in the high 8s or even a 9). Queso & Chips – The chips were fresh, crunchy, and unseasoned but still did the job. The queso had potential, but it lacked the bold flavors needed to truly stand out. It wasn’t bad, but it could have been much better. 6/10 Entrées & Sides Wedge Salad – The salad itself was solid, but the bacon was a miss. It had an overpowering liquid smoke taste, leaving a strange aftertaste and smell. 7/10 Fries – These were outstanding hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. I also appreciated the variety of cuts and shapes. 8.5/10 Smash Burger – A well-executed smash burger with that signature crispy edge and juicy interior. However, the meat itself wasn’t seasoned, which held it back from being exceptional. 8/10 Final Thoughts Overall, The Battery was a great experience, and I’d happily return. The biggest downside was the lack of seasoning across multiple dishes. If they improved that, their food would easily score even higher. That said, I still highly recommend trying this place. Final Rating: 8/10 Service: 10/10 – Absolutely fantastic staff! Would I go back? Without a doubt.“

That act of kindness had me in tears as I was emotional about the bad news I received about my husband's cancer earlier in the day. Thank you for adding sunshine to my day! I will be back!“

“I’ve am happy to loyal customer of CHOPT (Vestavia Hills) for over 4 years! The food is always so fresh and delicious. This is the only location I feel at home as the employees are always welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. Additionally, the ladies bathroom is well-stocked and clean. I love it here!“

“This past weekend, we went to Pizza Grace because the original owners sold it to the owners of Big Spoon Creamery. So, out of fear and curiosity, we wanted to see if our favorite pizza place was still our favorite pizza place. Let’s just start. The garlic bread they switched the focaccia with pizza dough, spread fairly thin so it was light and crispy and they swapped the garlic oil for garlic butter with herbs. This was actually really good! We both enjoyed it and thought the flavor of the butter was way better than the original garlic olive oil spread. However, I think they should have kept the focaccia bread and just swapped the olive oil with the garlic and herb butter. That would have been an easy 10/10. But unfortunately, even though it was still very good, it gets an 8.5/10. The pizza itself was still basically the same. We got the pepperoni pizza. Upon arrival and tasting, we could tell they cut back on the red pepper flakes, which we were both happy about. Our main issue was the fact that we could tell, visually, the pizza was smaller and not as big as it used to be. We didn’t like that we were paying basically the same price for less pizza. I’d recommend either making the pizzas bigger again or lowering the price. This also would have been a 10/10, but we’re taking off points for the pizza being visibly smaller and giving it a 9.5/10. For dessert, I got the Big Spoon Bar, which has fior di latte, salted caramel, TCHO chocolate, sea salt, and hazelnut in it. No notes here easy 10/10. I literally could not complain. First bite was heaven! All in all, this was very good with only a few minor disappointments. Is this still my favorite pizza place? Yes. Will I return? Yes, I will but I also think it depends on whether they adjust the price or return the pizza to its original size. That’s literally just how we feel since we’ve been going there for years. “Went to 2 different locations before visiting Prive/Palace. You get entry to the restaurant for free and the club in back for $10. Security will check you before entering and parking spaces were nice.

The bartender was very nice and the people eating were also very nice. We ate wings, fries, catfish nuggets and had some drinks in between visits to the back club“

“First time to try this place. I can't believe the wide array of food they serve. It comes to you hot, fresh and delicious!!! I had gotten a Groupon that I'm very thankful for!!! We spent less money here than we would at Taco Bell or McDonald's! If I lived over by it, I would literally eat here every day!!! I got fried catfish, the Cajun ranch fries and a small chicken salad. Good Lord I've NEVER had a salad THAT good before!!! And I'm 54 yo!! It has a ton of stuff in it!!! My husband got the same Cajun fried and a gyro that was amazing as well!!! I completely forgot to take pictures. But trust me, it's worth it! I can't believe they weren't more busy at 5 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones dining in. I did check it before I left, and it appeared fine. But whoever made it took it upon them selves to make the pizza with no sauce or chili either. I know what the sauce looks like. “Typical Chic Fil A, The food is top tier but this location needs some serious updates, lots of disrepair in the dining area. The staff was on par but not the best we’ve ever had.

Parking: Tight parking lot that’s not the easiest to get to from the main roads.

“Kay and her team at Iz did an AMAZING catering job at my wedding! Everyone complimented how good the food was and, most importantly, that the servers were so attentive! One guest commented that her glass never even reached half way before it was being refilled. That made me feel so glad I chose Iz. From the first time I spoke with Kay, I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing and knew all the right questions to ask. Kay and Iz Catering are true professionals and will elevate your special event. I will definitely use Iz again for any catering needs.“

“I dined in and honestly thought of my future review on here as I did so I did a little extra "digging in" to things I might not normally have noticed just in the area I could see while dining. The light fixtures, chairs, tables, floor were all clean, and no noted light bulbs were needing replaced. No noted dust on the light fixtures. The vent return cover (think that's what its called) was very minimally dusty.
The food was great and the portion sizing seemed generous to me. I ate alone following an out of town appointment. Now that I have found this place, it's hard for me try another since finding it at my last appointment. I work in healthcare, so I suppose I notice infection control practices in restaurants a little more than I wish I did for my sanity. I have never observed an issue here. In case you have never been here, you order at the register, but they bring you food and then they clean the tables after you are finished. (You don't have to dump trays or anything). You don't really have table service though, unless you realize you need something else at that initial food drop off time. Polite staff, but I did feel a little hurried to make my decision on ordering, although there wasn't a line. I paid a little more for lunch there than I could do on the daily, I received back just loose change from $19 for just me.
The atmosphere is pleasant and calming. I was just behind a fairly large group of apparent local exterminators (according to their labels on their clotging) and I was impressed that I didn't heart 1 single grumbling regarding anything with their order out of a fairly large group for barely lunchtime.“
