“My family loves The Lighthouse! We had the best experience this evening. My sister & I brought our kids after the DI Mardi Gras parade. Two adults with a 6 year old, two 5 year olds, a 1 year old & a 9 month old. We had a 35 minute wait, but it went by fast. We had a great server, she was so sweet. Our girls were a little loud, but the whole restaurant was loud due to it being busy, a drink got spilled but we cleaned it up. We had two older women and a man sit at the table behind us & they were constantly staring, talking about us & our children. I guess we were a bother to them, I was very upset about it. After we paid, a tall man who works in the back came out and told us not to go anywhere yet, that he had something for the girls. He brought out 3 popsicles & opened them for them 🩷 My sister said he had been looking out from behind the counter and thought he had noticed the situation. Even if he didn’t, he was so kind and it made everything better. Just made me love the restaurant even more. Our food was 10/10 as always!“

“This restaurant has absolutely the best fried and steamed shrimp platters in the Mobile area, we go there at least every month and have never been disappointed with the food, there are not a lot of space and it’s not an atmosphere place, just great food !“

“A great Bayou la Batre type restaurant with good food and service. If you want all of the frills that you'll most likely pay extra, go to a Franchised restaurant in the city and miss all of the shrimp boats and ship builders in the area. Sure they make a mistake every once and awhile, many are far worse since covid. I like it !“

Make sure to check out the nightly specials. This is a very laid\nback, no frills restaurant with good\nsouthern home cooking options.\nThe service was very friendly.“

“We are staying on Dauphin Island but heard this restaurant is very good. We took a little drive to try it out. Definitely glad we did. Worth the quick drive from the island. We had 3 kids and 4 adults. The kids had cheeseburgers and fries. The adults had fantail shrimp, shrimp po boys and chicken tenders. The shrimp was fantastic! My sister said the chicken tenders were so good. Not frozen ones. 😄 The staff was very friendly and took care of us. The decorations and environment is welcoming and fun to look at. We will definitely be back.“

“Great food the atmosphere was okay at the time the man was not very receptive because it's kind of young and kind of dismissive but there were two young children that were behind the counter kind of helping him so it made it worth it because they were just adorable and they were fast and friendly and they gave us a great service but the man behind the desk and I mean the counter we had a laugh the two channels are in behind the counter make it all made it all worth it great customer service and the two little girls“

The food is a 10/10 and beyond, they might be a little slow but it really is worth the wait and you can really tell it’s authentic Mexican food (I’ve been to Mexico Tampico to be exact) and the food makes me feel as if I was in Tampico again ❤️🥰 (try the gorditas they are so delicious)“

The staff are amazing at Bayou La Batre. They are funny, happy, great friendly service made to order. Awesome chicken strips !! My fur babies love them too. We will be back!!“

“We ordered popcorn shrimp that was very hot & fresh. The Crawfish flavor was amazing, they could’ve been hotter (heat wise) they were a little high price wise, but the flavor made up for it. I will be back.
The store next door is dirty & needs to be inspected. I’m so glad the food side is blocked off & on the other side closed off. If it wasn’t I wouldn’t eat it.“

“We ordered takeout, a lot of wings, and it was ready in 15 minutes! We got two flavors: spicy ranch and lemon pepper rub. Both were really good. They don’t skimp on the celery order or ranch. Wings were HOT and good sized. Not cheap but ended up being worth it!“
