Bishop was amazing....staring woth the glass of celebratory champaign, picking a perfect wine pairing, explaining the dishes, great sense of humor....he helped make our experience fun and memorable. The food....OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! The food was amazing. Cooked to perfection! From the bread, Amuse Bouche, appetizer (great fried green tomatoes, by the way!!!) Intermezzo, main course (ribeye and braised rabbit), and dessert with coffee....every step was amazing! A truly wonderful sensual experience from all the aromas, flavors, and ambiance. We will definitely be back, and will definitely recommend Cafe DuPont to others. Thank you for making our celebration special!“

“Wow, wow, wow. When I asked the waiter, how long the restaurant had been there, I was almost mad at myself when he told me it has been in Birmingham eight years. Why didn’t I find this place sooner? I went with my sister and my brother-in-law for dinner, we felt like we were eating in the French quarter. It’s the best Cajun food I’ve had north of New Orleans. You must try the shrimp, poor boy, better yet get the surf and turf because the roast beef will blow your mind. My sister and I also had the gumbo, the hush puppies are Devine, succotash was really good, and oh my wonderful tastebuds, the muffaletta was something like you would have on Bourbon Street. If you like Cajun food, this place has great food and a fun environment with lots of outdoor seating. Dog friendly to boot! I highly recommend that you try this at least once if you live in Birmingham or are visiting.“

“This place is a hidden gem in Pleasant Grove. 15-20 minutes from Birmingham and with the drive. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is very fresh and delicious, you can tell there's a lot of love put into it. There are American choices for the less adventurous eaters and children's menu, also vegetarian options! My personal favorites are the falafel plate, Greek salad, tahini sauce, hummus and baklava. All homemade! Go try it, you won't be disappointed!“

“Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“

“I love wings plus. Out of all of the Wings joints I've been to Wings Plus in Bluff Park tops them all. I have never had anything less than freshly made delicious food and I don't just order wings. The place is always neat. I know restaurants were hit hard by the pandemic and have a hard time finding people to work. I've never been treated anything less than respectful and kind. “I would've loved to have shared a photo, but i ate it so fast, taking a photo of it was an after thought. I ordered this for lunch, which was a 17 minute drive from my office. The time I received to pick it up was for 15 minutes. And to my surprise, after a 5 minute drive, I received notification that my order was ready.
When I arrived, the parking was adequate and the people greeted me upon entrance. Even after the 15 minute drive back to my office, the food was delicious. I had the lemon rosemary chicken over rice and the apple havarti side salad. The chicken was moist and tender…and the salad was fresh and the flavors worked together perfectly. My only complaint is the google directions take you the wrong way once you get into the community. But that’s on Google, not on this establishment! I will definitely be back.
Btw, the portion size and price was affordable too!“

When I get a feen for a down home hot dog or cheese burger, I've always been able to get it here. I've always been met by the staff with a super friendly 'Hey baby, whatchu gone have'. .. reminds me of my big mama.... I love them deeply for being my conduit to my maternal past. The
dogs are always perfect and hit the spot....bag of chips and cold soda and I'm good for the day. And I've never been in line more than 7 minutes. Much love for the small business feel.“
