“My wife and I have ordered Chinese food from this place and every time it has been really good. Their vegetable LoMein is far better than most places around with plenty of vegetables in it. The House Fried rice is really good as well. We usually get a large wonton soup as well and it is loaded with wontons, unlike some high priced places that only give you 1 wonton per order.The prices are very reasonable. One thing, this is not fast food so do not expect to get your meal in less that 20 to 30 minutes after ordering. We usually order to takeout and eat at home. The people that we met in there while waiting have been sociable and friendly. Also, if you have special needs, ask.“

I give the atmosphere a good rating also because this restaurant is similar to many oriental restaurants Ive been in. “We have visited the Summit location multiple times over the past decade. In fairness, the service was not always up to par. We decided to give this place another try. P F Changs is offering a lunch special starting at 13.99 and dinner starting at 16.99. We arrived for the dinner service, we were immediately seated. We had the pleasure of being served by Joshua. He took the time to ask if we had any questions, checked in on us several times and refilled our drinks more than once. What makes a great server is when they engage. At the end of the meal, we decided to order a dessert to celebrate a special occasion. Joshua delivered 🙌 with service 👏 of kindness and grace.

On to the food, it's great to know P F Changs is delivering an affordable option on their menu. As part of their special, you have a choice of a starter, salad, soup, or an egg roll. We chose the hot sour soup and salad. The dressing on the salad was exceptionally good. It was a great version of the sesame vinaigrette. The hot sour soup 🍲 was served hot and not to spicy. We chose the rice option to accompany our entree. For entrees, we selected the Miso Salmon and the Firecracker Shrimp. There was an upcharge of $1 for our entree selection. The rice was served steaming hot. If you are a rice 🍚 conisour, you know it's appreciated when it is served right. The entree portions are just right for one person. The favorite dish was the Salmon served with the broccoli/ spinach/mushroom stir fry. The flavors of an Asian Stir Fry were present and not laden with a bunch of oil. The firecracker shrimp, the amount of sauce was just right, it covered the shrimp with the heat from the chili pepper and did not drown the dish with heat. As you can read, it was a great dining experience.“

“My family and I moved to Gulf Shores from Birmingham in 2016. When we come back north for anything we have to stop at two places...Milos and Chop Suey Inn. Well, three...my parents! The egg rolls are without a doubt the best egg rolls that you will ever eat! Fresh, hot, crispy...perfection! Follow that by an apple pie from Milo's and I am all set for the drive home!!! Of course, we bring egg rolls home with us as well as burgers from Milos (and a bottle of sauce). If they shipped, I would definitely keep their egg rolls stocked at my house! “I dined in but I ate outside with a family member. The food came out hot and delicious! I tried 5 Flavored Shrimp and an egg roll! So this was a chef special on the menu. The Five Flavored Shrimp has huge carrots and water chestnuts. I enjoyed the delicious chilli pepper flavors. Customer service was phenomenal and they brought out the wontons for our soup first. “Just moved here, & I'm so thankful I found this hidden gem! I looked up over 20 places, & I didn't see what I wanted on the menu I'm so thankful I called in and asked if they have Tofu & they did! I made my own Tofu with broccoli, & fried rice with only egg/onion. They have the best prices affordable prices in Hoover! This will be my only to go spot for Chinese food. It's well worth the drive in a very beautiful neighborhood to the plaza. One of my favorite things is the crispy noodles 🤤 they make there's fresh next time I'm getting 10 bags because one wasn't enough. I will be getting food here weekly very generous with the portions almost enough for 3 meals. I highly recommend everyone try this spot, & if you don't see something on there menu just call & ask. “Incredible food at great prices! We’ve picked up from Happy China twice. Our order was ready within 20 minutes each time, and the young lady was conversant in English and friendly. The lo mein noodles are thick like they should be. Egg drop soup was yellow and flavorful. Sauces on beef & broccoli and sweet & sour were perfectly savory and tangy. Meat was tender, broccoli was crunchy cooked. Egg roll was delicious. Beats all other Chinese places we’ve had from Valleydale to the Summit.“

“I judge my Chinese restaurants by their crab Rangoon, and Mr Chen’s has the best I’ve ever had by far. Their eggplant with garlic sauce was also great and the chicken with broccoli was scrumptious. The service was superb in the atmosphere was very appealing.“

“Don’t focus on the 2 stars for atmosphere, unless you’d rather pay for ambience than for good food. The thing that first hooked me on Yoe Express was their coconut soup. Even on that visit I noticed the good price for their lunch specials (which appear to be available at other times as well). So on my next visit I decided to try the black pepper chicken. It was really good, AND the portions of the chicken and the fried rice were large enough that I ate half and took the rest home for dinner. I’ll be back again and again to try the other dishes. Back to the prices - with meal prices going up and up at other restaurants I go to, it’s nice to see Yoe not following suit. You can still get a generous meal of good food for a reasonable price. If you live in Homewood, you owe it to yourself, and to the good folks at Yoe Express, to support this establishment. If you don’t live in Homewood, get in the car and drive there to check it out; it won’t be your last time.“

“We love our local Chinese takeout haunt. It’s not the fanciest Chinese around but they are super fast with your order and the portions are generous. Can’t beat it when we don’t feel like cooking and we can pick it up down the road in 10 minutes. The food is an excellent value for what you get. My husband and I particularly love the eggplant. I love their cheese wontons. Hot and sour soup is amazing. Their combos are great because you get rice and an eggroll or soup. The sauces are pretty generic and some dishes have been a little meh, and their fried rice isn’t really fried rice (more like yellow rice lacking any veggies or egg bits) but for the price you can’t beat it. If you want something spicy, make sure you ask because just because you see something is spicy on the menu doesn’t mean it will be. I ordered Hunan chicken and it looked nothing like Hunan, no chilies. The eggplant which wasn’t supposed to be spicy was spicier than my chicken. Pretty sure they just make up their own version of sauces for some dishes. I do like that they serve broccoli, carrot, onion etc with almost every stir fry. Next time I will ask for chilis if I want it spicy.“

“Enjoyed a quiet evening visiting a new Chinese Restaurant. Enjoyed a cup of hot and sour soup and the Mongolian combination Chef's special with white rice. Also tried and egg and spring roll. “Wonderful staff! Very friendly and patient. The Egg roll was good, but it doesn't have any meat, which is fine, just a headsup! But it's honestly pretty tasty by itself. Egg drop soup is worth it, but the crackers were very stale. The real star is the entree here. I got shrimp with mixed vegetables, and it's 8.99 before tax for an egg roll and what you see in the picture, aka a LOT. The fried rice can stand on its own and WOW on the flavoe of the mixed veggies and shrimp!!“

The food was pretty good, the only gripe is the seafood especially shrimp was a little too chewy, but otherwise most things seemed perfectly cooked. The servers were super attentive which was nice, never had a glass half empty, it was pretty empty due to weather but still.“
