“We have visited the Summit location multiple times over the past decade. In fairness, the service was not always up to par. We decided to give this place another try. P F Changs is offering a lunch special starting at 13.99 and dinner starting at 16.99. We arrived for the dinner service, we were immediately seated. We had the pleasure of being served by Joshua. He took the time to ask if we had any questions, checked in on us several times and refilled our drinks more than once. What makes a great server is when they engage. At the end of the meal, we decided to order a dessert to celebrate a special occasion. Joshua delivered 🙌 with service 👏 of kindness and grace.

On to the food, it's great to know P F Changs is delivering an affordable option on their menu. As part of their special, you have a choice of a starter, salad, soup, or an egg roll. We chose the hot sour soup and salad. The dressing on the salad was exceptionally good. It was a great version of the sesame vinaigrette. The hot sour soup 🍲 was served hot and not to spicy. We chose the rice option to accompany our entree. For entrees, we selected the Miso Salmon and the Firecracker Shrimp. There was an upcharge of $1 for our entree selection. The rice was served steaming hot. If you are a rice 🍚 conisour, you know it's appreciated when it is served right. The entree portions are just right for one person. The favorite dish was the Salmon served with the broccoli/ spinach/mushroom stir fry. The flavors of an Asian Stir Fry were present and not laden with a bunch of oil. The firecracker shrimp, the amount of sauce was just right, it covered the shrimp with the heat from the chili pepper and did not drown the dish with heat. As you can read, it was a great dining experience.“

“My family and I moved to Gulf Shores from Birmingham in 2016. When we come back north for anything we have to stop at two places...Milos and Chop Suey Inn. Well, three...my parents! The egg rolls are without a doubt the best egg rolls that you will ever eat! Fresh, hot, crispy...perfection! Follow that by an apple pie from Milo's and I am all set for the drive home!!! Of course, we bring egg rolls home with us as well as burgers from Milos (and a bottle of sauce). If they shipped, I would definitely keep their egg rolls stocked at my house! “Just moved here from Los Angeles, home of the best Chinese food in America, and have been searching for a decent Asian restaurant. Finally found it! Super clean, great Feng Shui, and a very friendly staff. Ordered Hunan Chicken and although it’s prepared a little differently than what I’m used to it didn’t disappoint. Hot and Sour soup is prepped with a chicken base here and was super yummy. They seem to cook with a little less salt and spice here, probably to appease the angry old local geezers, but that’s easily remedied with a touch of soy sauce. Excellent experience, great prices, I found my new local Asian spot!“

“Just moved here, & I'm so thankful I found this hidden gem! I looked up over 20 places, & I didn't see what I wanted on the menu I'm so thankful I called in and asked if they have Tofu & they did! I made my own Tofu with broccoli, & fried rice with only egg/onion. They have the best prices affordable prices in Hoover! This will be my only to go spot for Chinese food. It's well worth the drive in a very beautiful neighborhood to the plaza. One of my favorite things is the crispy noodles 🤤 they make there's fresh next time I'm getting 10 bags because one wasn't enough. I will be getting food here weekly very generous with the portions almost enough for 3 meals. I highly recommend everyone try this spot, & if you don't see something on there menu just call & ask. Hidden gem thank you so much for the wonderful food.“

“Don’t focus on the 2 stars for atmosphere, unless you’d rather pay for ambience than for good food. The thing that first hooked me on Yoe Express was their coconut soup. Even on that visit I noticed the good price for their lunch specials (which appear to be available at other times as well). So on my next visit I decided to try the black pepper chicken. It was really good, AND the portions of the chicken and the fried rice were large enough that I ate half and took the rest home for dinner. I’ll be back again and again to try the other dishes. Back to the prices - with meal prices going up and up at other restaurants I go to, it’s nice to see Yoe not following suit. You can still get a generous meal of good food for a reasonable price. If you live in Homewood, you owe it to yourself, and to the good folks at Yoe Express, to support this establishment. If you don’t live in Homewood, get in the car and drive there to check it out; it won’t be your last time.“

And I’m also convinced that the chicken teriyaki is made out of chopped up grocery store rotisserie chicken (wouldn’t get this again personally). “Excellent Chinese Food. Fresh and seasoned appropriately. I ordered a half roasted duck which was so tender and plated beautifully. I also tried the sweet pea leaves. Very tender greens seasoned with light garlic sauce. Love loved the greens. I also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. Very tasty lightly spiced with, peanuts, mushrooms and zucchini in a light sauce. All Came with 2 orders of steamed rice and was packaged to go, as I was traveling back to MS. I enjoyed a chicken egg roll that was fresh and filled with lots of chicken in a crispy roll and was hot. Could have ate a second one. Everything was remarkably delicious and the young lady who took my order was patient and explained the different dishes. This was my second time to order from Mr. Chen’s. I dined in the first time. The Restaurant is tastefully decorated and is uniquely located inside the Homewood Chinese Grocery Store. Next time I go to Birmingham I want to purchase some of the produce and other items that appeared fresh and healthy from the store, which had an abundance and variety of items not found in your typical grocery store. Well worth making a stop.“

“We love our local Chinese takeout haunt. It’s not the fanciest Chinese around but they are super fast with your order and the portions are generous. Can’t beat it when we don’t feel like cooking and we can pick it up down the road in 10 minutes. The food is an excellent value for what you get. My husband and I particularly love the eggplant. I love their cheese wontons. Hot and sour soup is amazing. Their combos are great because you get rice and an eggroll or soup. The sauces are pretty generic and some dishes have been a little meh, and their fried rice isn’t really fried rice (more like yellow rice lacking any veggies or egg bits) but for the price you can’t beat it. If you want something spicy, make sure you ask because just because you see something is spicy on the menu doesn’t mean it will be. I ordered Hunan chicken and it looked nothing like Hunan, no chilies. The eggplant which wasn’t supposed to be spicy was spicier than my chicken. Pretty sure they just make up their own version of sauces for some dishes. I do like that they serve broccoli, carrot, onion etc with almost every stir fry. Next time I will ask for chilis if I want it spicy.“

“I stopped by Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant in Tarrant for lunch and got the General Tso’s lunch special. It was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice, and the portion size was generous. The prices were really reasonable too, especially for the amount of food you get. The service was quick and friendly, and the place was clean and comfortable. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for a good Chinese lunch!“

“I couldn’t wait to get home to give this place one star. I was under the impression by some of the pics that the fried rice came with some type of veggie like peas and carrots . Just onion and the greens onions they had to add after the fact . However, my attitude changed once I tasted the food ! I was surprised at how good it taste . Veggies were cooked very well and everything overall had a great taste . I don’t even eat the brown sauce that came with it but as I type I’m tearing it up! Lol Not my first choice for Chinese just due to personal preference (I like my veggies in my friend rice!) . Also I’m use to a larger portion size for what I paid (a little over $16 ) but this was definitely a hit ! The front lady was every patient cause I knew she could tell I was disappointed.
