“I ordered a to go order for my mother who is on hospice. I got home with the order and found out that I had only been given half the order, which was all fried. I wasn't very happy that I had to go back and get what I ordered for my mother, which was a bowl of gumbo. I called and let them know they hadn't given me what I wanted, and they started saying that I hadn't ordered it, to which I responded that was the first thing I ordered. So I went back and got the gumbo and told them that they hadn't given me the bread pudding, either. The guy went to the kitchen to get it, but it took 15 minutes for him to bring it to me, and he had apparently waited for someone else's order before bringing my bread pudding. I am very, very disappointed in the service I received at this location and may never return. Yes, I am a local who has been there more times than I can remember. For you to have been in business for so many years, I expected much better service. This is not how you stay in business.“

“They have truly mastered the art of frying here. Perfect batter, nothing felt too heavy. Golden brown and crisp, and just enough seasoning. The catfish and shrimp were both good, the fried okra needed just a little salt but glad it wasnt over salted. The fried pickles are done right, just simple batter and a good dill chip. They didnt taste over seasoned or salty like most places. Will def come back to try some steamed items as well.“

“We come through Mobile once a year or so and always try to have at least one meal here. Everything is amazing. Today, we left San Antonio Texas at 430am to head for Atlanta Ga to attend the funeral of my uncle who passed away on Saturday. we needed something comforting so here we are, enjoying the sunset, the amazing filet and shrimp, and the friendliness and good southern hospitality of our server, Lauren. Dad and I thank you for continuing to have amazing and consistently perfect food, atmosphere, and staff. Something very much needed today.“

We booked a rental at the beautiful Washington Square and did some looking around for a good place to have dinner. We found that Hummingbird Way was nearby, received good reviews, and nice press. We certainly never expected the meal to be an experience. Every single thing we ordered was delicious—and perplexing. I spent too much time analyzing which ingredients were put together to create the final dish. Some flavors I had never tasted in such harmony. I’m happy Mobile has an innovative talent delivering this beautiful experience, and I would drive a long way to specifically enjoy Chef Smith’s talents again. “My granddaughter and I recently dined at Chuck’s Fish to celebrate her graduation. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We had kimchi Brussels, uptown shrimp, and a delicious sushi roll. Then we really did it up big with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff went above and beyond. Very friendly and attentive. Can’t say enough about how delicious the meal was. One of the owners came to our table and checked on us to make sure we were being taken care of, which we were. I would highly, highly recommend this place!!!“

“It’s been years since I’ve been to the Boiling Pot and I’m so glad we decided to visit on Tuesday. The food was EXCELLENT. Everything we ordered we enjoyed. We had a steamed platter, popcorn shrimp platter, shrimp and catfish platter and the crawfish bread. Everything was perfect, even the sides. The crawfish bread was insanely good. The prices were also quite reasonable. The shrimp was big, even the popcorn shrimp. I will definitely be back.“

“I recommend them for their drinks! The drinks are really good and worth the price you pay! The food on the other hand is usually good, but this specific visit I asked for no onions on my sandwich and they still put onions on it. I told the waiter that I said no onions and showed him where they had onions on it and he said oh OK and didn't come back to the table until 10 minutes later with some sauce I ordered. So I guess that just meant that my sandwich wasn't gonna get remade or anything, so I just picked out the onions, but it still smells like onions. Total bummer and waste of money at that point but I didn't wanna cause a scene. I'll say if you get your food check to make sure it's right because nothing was done for mine“

“Wow! What an incredible meal! Hubby and I had date night before a show at the Saenger Theater. We were lucky enough to get the table for two right by the front window so we enjoyed some great people watching! We also loved the ambiance of the old building with the exposed brick and beautiful bar! We both ordered the Hook to Table entree which featured blackened Cobia fish with a Conecuh sausage cream sauce. It came with bacon caramelized green beans and delicious cheddar grits. Portion size was just right and every bite was simply delicious. We ended with a shared cinnamon roll bread pudding. The service was spot-on and the meal was a great value for the price. We will continue to enjoy Dumbwaiter for our nights out on the town! The food and the atmosphere are both unbeatable!“

“This place is jam-packed during lunch with a line outside of the door. I didn't order off of the hot bar. I have a phobia of things sitting out even if it's inclosed. I ordered a seafood plate. It didn't take as long as I thought that it would consider the number of people. I kinda skipped the line after waiting a bit. Suggestion There are 2 women working the front. One fixing plates off the hot bar and the other ringing up the customer. Some people are undecided or getting more than o e plate fixed. They should have 2 lines, and if the person on the register was taking orders and payments to people having orders placed, then it would cut down on as much waiting.The food was good and the staff could smile and be more inviting. ?“

I ordered the fried oyster meal with a side of potatoes and corn.

I’m a connoisseur of oysters my specialty is fried oysters. I’ve eaten them near and far, in other countries, north, south, east, and west…..and this was by far a member of my top five category. They were fried crispy on the outside, super tender on the inside and there were twice as many as any restaurant I’ve ever been to has given me.

Off you’re just passing through and you happen to hear about this place or Google maps tells you about it just take my advice get off the interstate, go there, and you’ll thank me later.
Don’t let the funky atmosphere mess with your head….this place is the real deal.“

“The food taste great, it even look good, but when the food is passed through the window and the cashier opens the food up for the customer to see it, she/he either need to have a hand wipe to pull out to wipe their hand or put on some sanitize gloves.Before they open the food up..Many people have caught Food Poisoning this year and Restaurants have been closed down (YOU) Wind Wing Station don't want nothing like that to happen to them, I'm sure...“

“Dinner last night with friends was delicious. Our service was excellent from our pre drinks at the bar, then to our table with Lois! Crab claws, stuffed peppers, veal, duck, scallops, fish and steak filled our table and our bellies. We also tried four different desserts. All was a 10/10.
