“This gs have not changed for the better. Prices are quite noticeably high while the food quality has declined. The hamburger had little seasoning although two patties are standard on all burgers. Salads are noticeably smaller with fewer ingredients. There was only one server who rarely checked on you and did not serve food as ordered. Shrimp Basket is definitely not the same.“
“We were there at a few minutes past 10:30; the stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 but the waitress told us we could be "snuck in" for breakfast. I had the Western Omelet: loaded with toppings, cheese on top. 2 biscuits (were a bit dry, but WAS at the end of the breakfast time), grits (or hash browns). Big servings. Very good. Husband had the bacon and cheese omelet. Said there was a lot of bacon in it. He also had grits and biscuits, coffee. The price came out to $22.00. Not bad for serving sizes. Seated quickly, food came quickly. They did have a lunch buffet: spaghetti, meat loaf, chicken, veggies. Seemed to be a favorite of most of the people there. Did have menu service for lunch.“
“I have to give places like this at least 4 stars because I almost feel like I'd be being ugly to someone's mawmaw if I spoke ill of it..... if that makes sense. That's the vibe it gives; a down home country kitchen where you just come in and make yourself at home. You can smell the fried chicken from the parking lot and what an amazing smell it is! I opted for the country fried steak and was happy with my choice- it was enough food that I had it for lunch and I'll be having the rest for dinner! The crab claws were so fresh I think they may have caught them that morning. Everything was hot and fresh and tasty and the service was as friendly as it comes. I was disappointed that there was no longer a salad bar- but our waitress offered to make us a salad so that's not really a valid complaint. I'm sure I'll eat there again and I'd recommend anyone passing through looking for a nice home cooked meal to definitely give it a try.“
“The Best Crawfish around. We had a family get together. We bought some crawfish from y’all, and another family member had bought some from rouses. The crawfish from y’all blew rouses out of the water. Yalls is wayyyyy better as well as all the corn, sausage and potatoes. You guys are the bomb!“
