Restaurantji's Hot Springs guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors. Try the best Chips and Salsa, Rice and Beans, Fajitas, and more in town.
“Usually very good food and great service. This last trip was disappointing. It took a LONG time to get our food, and one person's plate was cold, while one was steaming hot. Plus the one item ordered (empatos?) was horrible-no taste. Our Waitress didn't even notice or care that nothing was eaten of the main course on this meal. Very lackadaisical with everything. Sge should have noticed that we weren't getting our food for one thing-and she wasn't busy at all. Let me stress that this is unusual. Typically good food and service.“
“Cheap and easy, kind of like some of my ex-girlfriend's, really though, great service and good food, and they don't waste any time. The chicken soup is my favorite and probably the best item on the menu. I've tried them all in the Hot Springs area and can't quit going back!“
“I have avoided this amazing restaurant bcz ppl were saying it's expensive.. I'm here to tell u THAT IS INCORRECT INFORMATION!! When ppl can actually dine n it come out cheaper than eating at Chinese buffet or Don Juan's, I'd say that's a hell of a deal, especially when the food if freaking delicious! I give them 15 out of 10..lolCan't wait to go back!!“
“I don't think there's anything on this menu that isn't delicious. I try something different every time. Even the shrimp dishes are surprisingly great - that's saying a lot for a Florida girl living nowhere near the coast!“
“Best quesabirria tacos I've ever had. Mayra, the owner, always provides excellent customer service. It is a food truck, but outside seating is usually available unless it's super busy. Eating there is recommended to takeaway because the tacos have a nice crisp when eaten straight from the grill. They'll be a bit soggier if you take them home.“
“Their lemons don't have seeds! Every bite was better than expected. Came on a Saturday and they had $2.99 blue margs that were stronger than expected. Will definitely be coming back. Oh and the birria tacos were write home worthy. Pictured is shredded chicken quesadillas... I don't understand how they make even the simple things taste so good! 7 stars“
“After camping for a few days and eating hot dogs and hamburgers, this was absolutely perfect. I had the chicken enchiladas and the chicken was amazing. Even my 6yo loved the tacos, cheese dip and beans. I wish I lived closer because I'd come here all the time (and I'm from Texas). Fabulous pricing also.“
“I’m from Texas, and now I live in Louisiana. We came out here to Hot Springs for a weekend getaway! I’m just putting that out there to let y’all know that this is the BEST Mexican food I have had in a long time since leaving home! We had the Mexican guacamole and that was amazing, and we had the fajitas for two. Do yourselves a favor and eat here! :)“
“"KETO" (or even "CARNIVORE") diet friendly! My guest and I shared the "Parrillada" platter and didnt have to strip away any carbs as would be expected (except maybe the early potatoes). The Ribeye, Ribs (asked without barbecue sauce) and shrimp were grilled and seasoned nicely. Special note: The ribs were moist and seasoned differently but it was absolutely delicious. No sauce needed! Eat them while still hot 1st.A conventional menu favorite of mine is fajitas. They are in nice size chunks of meat (not chopped up small). They have a good menu for all to enjoy your fave Texmex. See their menu for more.A spacious interrior with multi levels. Full bar and some tv's on sports. Not a loud place.Dietary restrictions: An fairly exceptional choice for diners that are atkins keto and carnivore. Especially considering that it is tex/southwestern mex resturant.Parking: The main parking for colorado grill is on Watchita Ave and the grills door is inset alley on the side.Wheelchair accessibility: For females the facilities is is on the ground level floor. As for the men's, I am unclear, as they have theirs on the second level. There are some designated handicap parking on the street near the restaurant. But in general any spot is as good as any designated spot.“
“La Hacienda is my favorite Mexican restaurant. It isn't TexMex. They serve two different salsas immediately when you sit. There is a third... salsa verde if you ask for it. Their service is outstanding. Their food is fantastic.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: All ages welcome“
“Good place for typical Tex-Mex and some lighter fare. This was our first visit after trying out the other 'El' restaurants in the immediate area during our last few visits to HSV.DH and one teen had enchiladas which they liked. Other teen had nachos. Lots of topping on these but they stayed warm and cheese was very good. I had street tacos. Those were great and green salsa was very mild, which I much prefer.Service was swift and friendly. I had a hard time choosing what to order, so we'll be back to try more dishes. This may be our go-to for Tex-Mex in HSV.“
“My entire experience at Cafe Kahlo this weekend was excellent. I devoured my Chilaquiles Verdes with the homemade corn tortillas. The muddled cilantro and lime mocktail they made for me was spectacular. (I could drink a gallon .) A group of us are planning to go back next weekend. The atmosphere is very inviting and service was impeccable.“
