“This is exactly the kind of place we look for any time we travel. Unassuming, little place in a shopping mall. These are the hidden gems; and this place is ample proof of that.
We had to be down in the valley for some business. And we hadn’t had Salvadorian food in close to 20 years. (Long story)
So we did some looking around and found that this place was relatively close to our hotel. So we just had to!
The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean; and the staff is super nice and attentive.
We ordered (and split) the three papusa combo (pork, chicken and Loroco) with rice and beans. I also got a Cola Champagne for the first time in almost 20 years, and a couple extra to take home.
The papusas were excellent and came with a pretty sizable bowl of curtido. (…always a good thing!) Everything was fresh and handmade. Now, rice is one of those things that usually blends into the background. But not here! This rice was insanely good and had a flavor profile that neither of us could figure out. And the beans were just as good with a deep, rich smokey background.
EVERYTHING about this little place is excellent! If I was working in the valley again, I would probably hit this place weekly.
For a simple dining experience with excellent food and great people, this is a solid 5 stars!

“The food was amazing. I was taken aback by a $15 price tag for the garlic bread, but it was worth the price. Our table was still talking about it even after the rest of the amazing food. The entree prices were very reasonable, most of them $21-$29 each. I ordered the baked canneloni and it was so good. Someone ordered a pizza and loved it, too. I know it's conceited to say--but many times I eat at a restaurant thinking my own cooking is just as good. Not at The Sicilian Butcher--I couldn't begin to replicate the delicious food we ate.“

“We just moved out to the area and the name caught us. The take out was quick. Zero hassles. Food was incredible. Will be a staple when we eat out. It was incredible. Chicken Masala was very good, although it had more of a sweet base than tasting the wine. Chicken Parm was great. Spaghetti and meatballs were very good. My daughter even loved the chicken tenders. Fries were VERY good. Bread was amazingly fresh. HIGH PRAISE TWISTED ITALIAN.“

“This was the PERFECT anniversary dinner for our Halloween night! I asked ahead of time for the private booth experience and asked them to "Spookify" it a little. They NAILED it! There were bats, a skeleton named Mike, spiderwebs and little spider candle holders, and the rose petals ugh, so cute. The service was GREAT and they did a wonderful job picking up that we were private people and disliked a lot of crowds. They were attentive, respectful, and very fun and helpful! I cannot recommend this location and staff enough!!!“

“As always, Don Rubens never disappoints. The service is exceptional, starting with the manager. He is always on the floor and his present to support his staff and check on every guest in the restaurant. The servers follow his lead and provide professional and caring service. The food is high-quality, served warm, hot, or cold, depending on which menu item is ordered. Every guest that leaves the restaurant is happy and never disappointed. I highly recommend the restaurant but would love to keep it a secret so that I can always walk in and enjoy my experience. I would provide a higher rating if more than five stars were available.“

“There were 18-20 of us who called for seating. Not only were we accommodated, but truly welcomed approximately 1 hour later. Our server, Josh, went out of his way to make sure our first visit was outstanding. The food was delicious, served in timely fashion and plentiful. Thank you Josh & staff for such a great experience. I had the Fish Fry with Cole Slaw & Cajun French Fries. Loved the flavor of the slaw. The Cajun fries reminded me of the restaurant we used to go to in Louisiana. Portions are great. I highly recommend to stop & eat or try their bar.“

“Our family was celebrating my mother's 86th birthday and made reservations for 26 family members. The minute we walked in servers were ready for our drink order. The atmosphere was excellent sitting outside. We had great service and the food was great. Servers came and said "happy birthday" to my mother.“

“I go to Wildflower about 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes I bring friends or family too. When I go to order I see Laura the manager, who reminds me to put in my phone #, she is always friendly and personable. I once said to her - I appreciate you and she said : We appreciate you. Usually Makayla will bring my food and I love that she is always smiling and so sweet and kind- Part of the reason I come here is because the food is great and the other part is because the staff is AMAZING !“

“This place is a must! The sushi we had was delicious and the presentation was stunning! All the rolls came out looking like a piece of artwork! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. It was our first time here and they took tremendous care of us. We can't wait to go back! They had multiple air purifiers inside and every one of the staff was wearing a mask. Everything was stunningly clean and we felt very safe and comfortable. They are definitely doing all they can for their guests during Covid-19!“

“First time coming for taco tuesday and did not disappoint. Greeted immediately and sat at the bar. We were the only ones dining in (until a family of 4 came in after we'd been there for a bit) and were given chips, guacamole and salsa right away. They do have a good tap beer selection but unfortunately only had a few bottled beers available at the time. They have a small liquor selection as well. Interior was clean, nice music and TVs.
Asked for a hotter salsa and she brought out 2 others that were very good. Ordered the 2 craft taco special for $12 (came with refried beans and Mexican rice), el jefe and drunk chicken. Shredded beef was tender, chicken was marinated and very flavorful. They use blue corn tortillas which is a nice change of pace. Will definitely be back to try other food items. Also did not know they serve wings, chicken sandwiches and other fried foods.

“The portion sizes are perfect for lunch. There were quite a few options to choose from on the lunch menu. The only negatives would be is that the Mongolian Beef was not as tender as previous visits, and the wonton soup only had a few wontons. Overall, the service was very good.“
