“We were a party of 5. Ordered 2 pizzas Chicken Parm sub Large Calzone and MB Stromboli. Food was fresh and served hot (big pet peeve of mine). Grew up in the suburbs of NYC and have to tell ya the pizza was the best I have eaten in years in AZ. The servers made sure we had everything we needed and kept getting us soda refills. Truly awesome experience and will make this a regular spot to go to“

“Tonight I took my wife to Brooklyn V’s at Jermaine and Gilbert in Gilbert for her birthday. My wife ordered spaghetti and a house salad. I ordered meatball calzones with a house salad.. I however, was very disappointed in the calzone. There was no meatball in the calzone. There were strips of some kind of meat in the calzone that tasted nothing like meatballs.. I asked the waitress what kind of meat it was. She said she didn’t know but would check. She came back and told me it was beef and pork. I didn’t order pork I don’t like pork. When the menu says meatballs, it should be meatballs, not pork and some kind of weird tasting beef. If I had ordered spaghetti and meatballs, would it have been strips of this kind of meat across the spaghetti something to think about?“

They’ve got plenty of options from wings and appetizers to giant NY style slices and even a 24 inch party pizza. “Amazing pizza!!! I wish I knew about them sooner! Shame on us for not paying more attention to our local joints. We tried their BBQ chicken pizza (thin crust) todayand it was amazing. Great flavor, good crunch on the crust, couldn't of asked for better. The cheesy bread was a good side and some fried zucchini sticks to top it off. Between the flavor and value, they just earned a long time customer from our family. Can't wait to try the sandwiches and fries. If you live near by they are a MUST“

Food and drinks exceptional. Was here between 2-4pm on a Friday for a late lunch. Totally recommend and will be back again. Located right in the heart of downtown Gilbert.“

“I recently went in to this restaurant on marketplace. It’s right off of the Santan village Parkway. Service with the front counter. Or front of the house is not so good. The problem I have is I come in and I want to look at the menu for just a few moments. But the girls be at the new girls or the girls that have been there a while. Don’t like the fact that I say just give me a minute. Let me look at the menu real quick. Cause I could never seem to find them after I tell them that I just need a minute to look at the menu. Because when they see me walking toward the counter, they wanna ride away asked me how can I help you? What do you want to order. But I don’t know. That’s why I need a moment to look at the menu. So it ends up happening is I have to order using the online app. Or I go through Chrome and just order it online. So I never ever speak to the girls at the front again after I told them I just need a minute to look at the menu. Every now and then there’s a brand new girl that is really helpful. But the girls that have been there a while are never around to help and when I ask him to give me a minute, they seem to get upset get mad cause I never see him again. I’d like to tell the manager, but I never see the manager. Every now and then I may see him if I make an order and he can’t find the girls that’s the only time I ever see the manager. But the food is good. I always order a pizza or I get the spaghetti, meatball garlic bread with cheese and the garden salad. I don’t know about the atmosphere cause I never stay. I’ve gone to multiple Barro’s locations. This one at the marketplace in Gilbert. Seems to be the only one that has this issue with the front of the house. I’ve gone to the one downtown Phoenix on Central & Virginia. I like the one in Indian band and Pima. The one in Tempe is really good. I’ve even gone to the one down in Casa grande. The other location I think is pretty good. Is the one on Greenway and 40th St. Oh I almost forgot about the location on 32nd St. and Indian school.“

“Review of a 10" pizza to go by PizzaByAnthonyMay, 2021TLDR: Excellent pizza, cooked faster and better than any take and bake we've tried over 36 years and 5 children.Reviewed today was a 10" Neopolitan take and bake sausage pizza from Pizza By Anthony. More than any take and bake and most restaurants this pizza was near the quality of the coal brick-oven pies of turn of the century Brooklyn that made pizza famous in America. The crust is crackly thin with bits of char normally seen when you cook at 900 degrees in a coal-fired brick oven. Other than Grimaldi's locations in the valley I don't know where you can find pizza of this quality.The pizza surprised me because I assumed it would be a normal take-and-bake pizza. It arrived in a normal take-out box, but it was vacuum sealed. That saved the day in our case because our Saturday plans fell through so it had to wait overnight in the refrigerator. According to the label it can be stored this way up to 5 days--not something I would recommend with a normal take-and-bake pie because the dough in the crust will rise slowly over time.This is no ordinary take-and-bake pizza. Rather it is a "fully cooked thin crust...chilled, boxed and then vacuum sealed." This I believe is the secret to the superb condition of the crust when you take it out after a short 5 minutes at 425 degrees. The crust reached its crispy charred perfection miles away during preparation. I believe it was baked at a temperature and on a baking surface that is simply not possible in the home. The result is a pizza that I could not tell from one fresh out of a 100 year old anthracite-burning brick oven. I slipped it back into its carry-out box, set it on the table, and watched it disappear.“

“they say they will do double sauce, double sauce and they put NONE on my pizza. 👁️👁️ they had already remade my order, and forgot the shredded pepperoni, I said run it thru the oven with the shredded pep on they said they could not, and that they had to make a whole new pie. I had even asked 2 different cooks for double sauce before they made the 3rd, and they said they would! the fact it had zero sauce... disappointing, and a waste of time... possibly a joke. ha-ha. “Always order the pizza over the app an hour in advance so that it's ready for pickup. Easiest way to get your food so you're not just standing in line. I just walk in and if there's a line, I walk to the front, give name, get pizza and walk out. I'm in the building 45-50 seconds at most.“

Marcos was my goto pizza in Austin and I'm happy they are expanding in metro Phoenix. Their pizzas are reminiscent of Shakeys in California.“
