Our Evergreen & Hawaiian pizzas were great and smelled so good (the two of us barely let the boxes hit the counter before we attacked them like rabid badgers). Both the pizzas and the 'naked' wings had a lovely char from their pizza ovenand were delicious. Wings are very nicely cooked and not at all dry, like so many unfortunately are. I was greeted the moment I walked in with friendly, smiling faces and my order was handed to me right away. They even gave me coupons for a free item and free extra sauce for my wings. “This is surprisingly delicious pizza in the south Tempe area. I highly recommend trying it - it's Italian wood fired oven pizza, not greasy, not huge amounts of sauce and cheese like an American pizza. It's closer to a Roman style pizza (I used to live in Rome and Tuscany). Some good combinations although I always add extra ingredients. I think the pricing is very reasonable given the quality of ingredients. The size is more like an Italian pizza - not huge, so make sure you order enough if you expect American size pizzas.“

“We have ordered Spinatos take out a hundred times but I can’t ever remember dining in. We have ordered from several around town but this time we landed at the one in Tempe. The room was huge with tons of seating plus there’s a nice patio overlooking the street below. Our server was attentive and friendly so five stars for her!
Spinatos is definitely our go-to pizza joint. Every time we order the same thing, the Mama’s Signature pizza with extra Italian sausage) and every time it’s fabulous! “My friend is in town and she has celiac so we were trying to find a good place for her to have variety. We found a recommendation for this place on a gluten-free page. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. I was shocked at how gluten friendly they are, even to the point of having a dedicated oven for the gluten-free pizza us. My friend was overwhelmed with all the amazing options, and absolutely loved that she could pick whatever she wanted. We had the focaccia bread, the bacon, mac & cheese, and the fungi Florentine pizza. Dessert we tried the apple crisp and the tiramisu, both are which are gluten-free. The food was incredible. But not eighty two billion tons of burnt on the outside/doughy bleh on the inside with a tablespoon of ketchup and the cheapest dollar store greasy pepperoni swimming in the middle. The sauce they used is pretty close to bolognaise, more tomato and a bit less sausage. The tomato is allowed to shine right along with the protein and carbs. That satifying rope bridge of mozzerella tops it, from crust to lip. Had an appetizer plate to start. Mushrooms, mozzerella bites and fried ravioli, done just right. Do they have an air fryer in the back? Not too much oil remained to ruin the crispy goodies underneath. Much thought has been put into the menu. Balance has been found in their kitchen. Two IPA's and three Pepsi's later my partner in crime and I were well and truly stuffed. Punched a respectable hole in $100, with gas money to spare. Don't settle for gas station pizza or cardboard and ketchup. Aquaint yourself with the high watermark that Lou and his band of merry misfits have established. Widen your net. Wet your whistle. Stuff yer face. Is there better pizza out there? Yeah. But I bet you'll drive an hour to find it. Round up your circle, pool your dusty wallets and get in there. Memories don't make themselves.“

Not only that but the pizzas are made from scratch and when you tell them everything you want on it they throw it in a like an open fire pit type thing to get you r pizza to cook. It typically takes about 5 minutes max for your pizza to be ready“

“We had such an amazing experience at North Italia in Tempe! Our server, Isabel, was absolutely wonderful. She was so calm, knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly patient with our kids—nothing seemed to rattle her, and she made the entire experience feel effortless.

The food was honestly some of the best I’ve had in ages, but what really stood out was the service. Isabel made our visit so enjoyable that the service alone is enough for me to recommend North Italia to all of my friends, family, and clients.

“The Pizza is really good. I'm assuming the name is based on the classic character from fast times at Ridgemount high with Sean Penn. It is a business inside a business. It's a classic sports bar with a pizza joint hidden in the back. Phillies Sports Bar is what you will see when you walk in the door. You can get a pie from them and it is the same. If you are looking for delivery, this is a great option. Either way it's a really good pizza.“
