“We had the rare opportunity to have Valentine's Day dinner at the cafe last night and it was an absolutely amazing experience. We were welcomed and felt at home the entire time while dining under a candle lit dinner. The food was absolutely delicious as the name says! The staff are very caring about their craft and it shows. “My husband and I enjoyed our first meal at Rim Country today. Let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! I ate my weight in delicious pizza, superb tasting brisket and a perfectly cooked baked potato. My husband had the 1/2 pound of chopped brisket and the most scrumptious fries topped with cheddar jalapeño sausage. We left in the most phenomenal food coma I think I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10 The service was super friendly and casual. Will be eating here every time we’re in Payson. Customers for life.”

My second time in the Host was acting very strange to me, Asian lady, the server was great (Mary). The host kept harassing me and seemed to not want me in the establishment. She tried to get me to eat some strange peppers that I did not ask for. It is disappointing because I really liked my first experience without the interference from the strange lady hostess.”

“A few years back my traveling girlfriends were driving thru Payson after a fun filled weekend. They needed their coffee fix - me I’ll get a tea (not a coffee lover). We happened to find this off the beaten track coffee shop that I am sure the locals pretty much know about. We just recently took a day trip again and stopped in. Two coffees and a smoothie for me. We sat and watched the end of the eclipse and enjoyed the patio! Common Grounds is Payson’s little gem! This beats any franchise coffee shop I’ve enjoyed.”

“The service was great! They remembered my favorite drink and milk preferences and even gave recommendations based off of it! The place feels very relaxed, like they won't rush you to make your order. They treat you more than some number, you are a friend, family or neighbor. Today I had her new cookie Mallow Dreams and it was SOO GOOD! I had to happy dance as I gobbled it down, lol! I also got a hot chocolate with her housemade Sesame sauce. “I finally stopped in, I ordered the dinner for 2, plus 4 meatballs and upgraded the garlic bread to a 1/2 loaf for a $1. OMG! it fed 3 of us and we have left overs for tomorrow! From a growing 14 y/o young man, "that's a do again!" I couldn't agree more! all for under $20! 5 stars! Thank you for being here in Payson, AZ!”

“Last night 12/12/25 I ordered the family chicken strip meal for the first time since they re-did their kitchen. First time in over a year.. The chicken strip fresh,hot,juicy,and HUGE!! The wedges and biscuits fresh and tasty, not hard and crunchy like before under previous management. Tried the Jambalaya for the first time and delicious! Also friendly staff and generous with dipping sauces. THANK YOU! Keep up the quality fresh food..Will visit again soon!”

“The mural in the dining room to the right side is really cool, and so are the stained glass windows. The brisket hash on the breakfast menu is excellent. We also ate on the pub side in the afternoon and the pizza and jalapeño poppers were delicious and perfect for sharing. The pizza crust had that crispy crunch and air bubbles that only a real pizza oven gives you. Built in restaurants at hotels can be pedestrian to awful, and it's clear Zane Grey's is working hard to avoid that.”
