“I live at least half an hour away from Lucky's, but regardless of the distance, it is worth the drive.

My discovery of Lucky's was when I was looking at some of the highest-rated burger places in the Phoenix area on Yelp. From the first visit, I can see why it has an excellent rating. It is among my favorite burger places and a contender for the best burger in Arizona.

On my first visit, I got a triple burger with fries and a milkshake. The milkshake contained butterscotch and Oreos. Butterscotch and Oreos are a combination that often gets overlooked. It is an impressive combination.

The burger and fries are among the best I have ever had. I like how much spice that is placed on the fries. Just the right amount and not overbearing. The burgers are a little on the thin side, but they are delicious and juicy. I also appreciate that they offer a variety of sauces to accompany the burgers. The house-made Thousand Island sauce is delicious, and it tastes much better than the kind you find in stores.

I also like the old-school atmosphere. With many pictures along the walls, it feels like you are in a classic diner, taking a trip back in time.

While the food and atmosphere are excellent, the best part is the service. The owner, Marvin, is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Every time I have walked in, he has greeted me with a warm smile, asking how my day was going, and has been patient with me whenever I needed some time to figure out what I would like to have that day. You can tell that he cares about everyone in his business having a great experience.

For such great food, the prices are very reasonable.

Although I do not visit the area very often, I always stop by Lucky's Burgers and Shakes whenever I am in the area and recommend it to anyone seeking a great burger place in Phoenix.“

We'll, SO glad we drive in to try it! Holy smokes did we gave a great lunch today! I had the brunch huevos & the hubs had the Cuban. Great portions (I couldn't finish my huevos) and both of us were saying we want to come back & try other items. The service was fine - I definitely felt like if you were from the neighborhood you were recognized & chatted up, but by no means was our server not perfectly fine... appropriately friendly & attentive, drinks & refills arrived promptly, she checked on us mid-meal, the bill came promptly. Zero complaints on service but hands in the air on that food! We'll definitely return to try out more of the menu!“

“We just came in with a large group and sat at a firepit. We were told to leave after a few min due to a large group reservation in an hour. We talked to the manager who told us we could stay for an hour until the reservation showed. Our table was ready after about 30 min. We were stuck in the back of a private area where 2 people didn’t receive their food until half way through and one person waited for a condiment for the entire meal. Another person got her drink order filled at the very end of the dinner. Before we left they seated 2 other tables extremely close to us when many many other tables were available! During a pandemic! Horrible experience from a usually very enjoyable place. Poorly poorly managed!“

She heard me tell my sister that the butter caramel cake looked yummy. So what does she do? She brings us one on the house!! Thought it was finally time to leave a review for a fantastic and friendly staff. Kitchen is usually insanely fast so the food is always hot and out to you in 10-12 min. Granted we come here between 2pm-4pm (best time to come, its slow amd quiet)“

They were super understanding and said the order was changed to pick up. As my family member arrived he saw the “delivery “ person grab our order from the pick up shelves and leave. Oh well. My family just let them since the order was on its way. Well, the guy never arrived at our home. I called the restaurant explaining my issue- and they immediately said they’d replace the order. No need to reorder, and it would be ready in 15 minutes. They were incredibly professional and exceptionally fast. I cannot recommend Flower Child enough for this. THANK YOU! “Perfection! We were across the street and decided to swing by for something a little heartier. Deviled eggs are killer, burger was amazing and the chicken sandwich was so good. Prices were great and it was fun watching the staff inside do what they love. The menu is perfect and well thought. It was the best treat to land at :)“

“We arrived with no waiting. We were seated right away and actually got to choose where we wanted to sit. There really wasn't a bad seat in the house. Our server was Zack and he did great and even took time to talk sports with us. He made the visit more personable. We got a couple of appetizers like the meat balls, and the Edamame. I ordered the fish and chips which was a healthy portion. BBQ chicken flat bread was very tasty. And the salad was refreshing. Very enjoyable. If I were to be slightly critical, it would be that (1) some of the staff tried too hard to be efficient and (2) food had to be a bit milder (OK, a lot milder) that we natives tend to like. With tourists from all over, I realize you've got to be cautious when spicing food (my brother from Michigan thinks bell peppers are too hot for human consumption). Perhaps a side of habanero or serrano would be nice. All in all, a very nice restaurant with extremely good food.“
