Chef Rusconi and his wife Nancy stand at the chefs pass inspecting and finishing every plate for perfection before it’s served to the customer. When time permits either Chef Rusconi or his wife Nancy will visit with the customers to answer questions or just small talk to get to know their customers. “The hamburger was delicious and the but was light and fresh. All of the toppings were nice and crisp.
The fries came right out of the fryer and we're delicious! The chocolate banana shake was super delicious and creamy. So good!
The staff was friendly and genuinely happy to have me. The place was clean, the tables were wiped down as soon as someone left, and the bathroom was clean.

“We just came in with a large group and sat at a firepit. We were told to leave after a few min due to a large group reservation in an hour. We talked to the manager who told us we could stay for an hour until the reservation showed. Our table was ready after about 30 min. We were stuck in the back of a private area where 2 people didn’t receive their food until half way through and one person waited for a condiment for the entire meal. Another person got her drink order filled at the very end of the dinner. Before we left they seated 2 other tables extremely close to us when many many other tables were available! During a pandemic! Horrible experience from a usually very enjoyable place. Poorly poorly managed!“

We'll, SO glad we drive in to try it! Holy smokes did we gave a great lunch today! I had the brunch huevos & the hubs had the Cuban. Great portions (I couldn't finish my huevos) and both of us were saying we want to come back & try other items. The service was fine - I definitely felt like if you were from the neighborhood you were recognized & chatted up, but by no means was our server not perfectly fine... appropriately friendly & attentive, drinks & refills arrived promptly, she checked on us mid-meal, the bill came promptly. Zero complaints on service but hands in the air on that food! We'll definitely return to try out more of the menu!“

“Always a favorite. They will make you feel like family. Nice cup of coffee. Food is cooked right and flavorful. Huge pancakes. I love having options like pork or turkey sausage or country gravy with or without meat. Or options for home cooking classics like liver and onions or open face sandwiches.“

“Today I placed an online order and it was set to deliver, my mistake. I called the restaurant and let them know I will have a family member pick up order. They were super understanding and said the order was changed to pick up. As my family member arrived he saw the “delivery “ person grab our order from the pick up shelves and leave. Oh well. My family just let them since the order was on its way. Well, the guy never arrived at our home. I called the restaurant explaining my issue- and they immediately said they’d replace the order. No need to reorder, and it would be ready in 15 minutes. They were incredibly professional and exceptionally fast. I cannot recommend Flower Child enough for this. THANK YOU! “Its like Yougurtini but for beer and wine! You get a keyfob you tap on your choice and those in your party can either taste or drink any beer from the wall. Try "The Godfather" its an amazing Italian IPA“

“I have been going to this hidden gem for at least 20 years. Always a nice meal and staff. Pies to die for. Go to place for a Turkey supper or Prime Rib and of course Chicken Fried Steak. Hope they remain in business for many years to come.“

“The two of us visited this location after hearing a recommendation from a colleague who enjoys the food and whose husband is a fan of the beer. We walked in and took seats at the bar to get a feel for the establishment.

Service and Atmosphere
The initial greeting was quick, but it felt as though we were being forced into making a drink selection before we were ready. This set a tone for the visit that we found difficult to overcome. Although we tried two drinks each, we simply could not get into the atmosphere or connect with the wait staff. The environment did not align with our preferences for a relaxed outing.

Selection and Final Thoughts
The beer itself was better than average, and the selections were quite good. While the quality of the beverage was evident, the overall experience was not compelling enough to warrant a return. For our tastes, this visit remains a one and done experience.“

We will be back, as we enjoyed the ambiance, the TVs and the fact that the tables were spaced apart from other tables. The restroom was right where you can see it (lol) just in case!
