“This is EASILY one of the best places in Phoenix. The patio is such a great vibe - especially with the nice weather we have been having. I am a huge fan of the cheddar potatoes. I tried something new today (the matador) and it exceeded my expectations. The service here is also the best I e ever experienced. Nathan always has a huge smile on his face and make me feel like I belong. He’s always joyful and quick with his work. I feel like he can read my mind sometimes ?“

“Dear Dave, Want to thank you for the GREAT service last night. We came in with 12 people (I had called that morning to alert you) and you had a table all ready. Since we were mostly Wisconsin Fans, you also turned all the TVs by us to the Wisconsin game. The service was great, the food was great and everyone had a good time. We have been doing this for a few years, and everyone wants to come every year. Thanks again and we aren’t going back to WI until April 24, so we will probably make a couple of more times before we leave. Dave, you are a great host! Mary Schlumpf“

“I made the mistake of going to the downtown Phoenix location on a game night and it was packed. There was a sign that said "Seat Yourself" so I managed to find a weird table/bar are that was facing away from the bar. No one acknowledged me for over 30 minutes. When I flagged someone down, the person blew me off and said someone would be with me, it was busy. I knew it was busy, I wanted to know who was taking care of my section. The next person I got said, "I've been here since 10 am, and I'm going home." This person said the bartender would be with me as soon as possible, reminding me it was busy. I went to the bar to get the bartender's attention and was told I was sitting in a kind of hang out area, but they could help me. After I got a finished eating, a manager-type person asked how it was. The food is always amazing and this time was no exception. The manager apologized, saying they were short-staffed. Apparently, no one checks the game schedule to be sure there are enough people working on a game night. I understand it was busy, however, I do not understand why I got 4 different answers when I wanted to know who was working my section. Seems like a pretty simple answer that most of them should know. The manager said it was the bartender's section, and the bartender said it was no one's section. Odd to say the least. The food is the only saving grace, lucky for them. Otherwise, I don't see how they stay open with such abysmal service.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.“

“My husband and I came here on a Sunday close to 1:00pm. Although Yelp says that they opened at 1:00pm, a bartender stated that on Sundays they open around 2pm due to the low traffic on this day and at this time. We were waiting in front of the doors to find another place to go and the bartender went ahead and let us in at 1pm! The ambiance is always nice to me. The lighting in here just gives me good vibes. I haven't had the food from here but I plan on it when I come back!“

“Desert Ridge's best kept secret. Don't tell the dweebs. Negative reviews seem to be from people who don't understand the concept of an underground taproom. With all the choices in the area, why would you order food in a place like this and then complain? And others complained about the service but there's plenty of places nearby to go if you want to be waited on. Walk up to the bar and order a brew instead of timing how long it takes for someone to ask if you want a drink!“

Great Beer Selection

“This is a quaint bar with lots of choices for beer and wine. Kelly has bartended when I have gone there and she's super friendly and knowledgeable. I love that I don't have to wait to ask for a drink, she is right there taking care of us and being super attentive. I wasn't sure what to try and she gave lots of suggestions based on questions she asked me. We played lots of board games and had just a great time there. I definitely would go when she is working which is Saturdays and Thursday's I believe. She's the best bartender there!“

“Here's another really nice place and it's refreshing because they're open late all days the week. The bartenders will engage you in conversation like the way you think old bartenders should be and the clientele is generally friendly but because it's a late night place there are sometimes a few unscrupulous characters that make their way through but the collective community that frequents the bar at night is top notch.“

“If you're looking for fish and chips, George is the place to go. They're lightly battered and filled with more than ample amounts of cod. The last time I was there I ordered the fish bites which were a bit too breaded for my taste so I just removed some to get more of the fresh fish experience. Great food! The next time I go there I want to try their pasties!“
