“Never been to Phoenix area before and wanted to find a very local authentic restaurant. We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. All the employees were very friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Highly recommend and we will return when we are traveling through Phoenix..“

“really should turn down the air conditioner when it's50 degrees outside. and find more than 2 servers for the whole resurant. food still tasty as always.. think we'll find a different location tho this one sucks“

“I was here for a birthday party following a night at the movies for the (adult) birthday boy. We had about 12 people in our party, but there were a couple of times it seamed that I was bypassed for services.

The food was good, and the atmosphere was nice. The location was perfect, as it was only a short walk from the theater, and we didn't need to move our vehicles.“

Today, January 21, 2023, we did delivery. I give it three stars. The food was delicious. However, they gave a mini scoop of ice cream, that was melted, with a big cookie, which was not good. I have attached the pictures.

Update, June 18, 2023, we dined in. The 3 for Me, see attached pictures before the downsize, is no longer a value. It has been downsized from 5 small pieces of chicken to 3 small pieces of chicken, from two sides to one side, and the price is too expensive to get less food. This is not good. I do not recommend the 3 for Me because you are paying more for less food, which is wrong. Chili's has got to do better.“

“I understand that server's are busy, but there's no excuse to make a party of two already seated to wait over 40 minutes for appetizers and beer after already waiting 10 minutes to place the order. We ended up having to drink our beer and ask for a to-go box as we were now late for meeting with friends. We had planned on ordering full meals and enjoying few beers before we left, but sadly that did not happen. I'm only leaving this review as this is not the first time we have had bad or slow service from this location. We like Chili's but we will now be visiting one a little furter away just because their server's are attentive to customers needs and the food always seems to be better better quality and quantity.“

“I had always drove by and saw the birria sign but decided to stop in tonight.

I went in about half an hour before they closed- it was dead at 7pm on a Wednesday which I find ridiculous.

The staff was warm, friendly and a welcome comfort after a long day and being away from my family- there's a certain type of flavor to mexican/hispanic hospitality that makes me feel "I am home, among family, and safe" deep in my soul.

I ordered just birria tacos- I wasn't feeling hungry enough for the whole plate. They made them perfectly- maybe it was because I felt so at ease, so at peace in their shop after ordering, but those tacos tasted better than any other birria taco I have had.

The tortilla was fried up on the grill in the birria consumme- perfectly crispy, crunchy, not too soggy where the bottom falls out, and with burn marks from the grill (just how I love them).

The meat was super tender and flavorful, dipping it in the consumme only made it more mouthwatering and succulent. The taco stayed crunchy against the juices.

It's a shame that this taco shop location in particular, doesn't have more business but i genuinely feel it should. Oh and the cam of monster I bought was alright too lol“

“I don't think the 2 most recent reviews are truthful. I eat here once a week. This is an amazing taco shop. They way they make your food to order is awesome. Like chipotle but actually good. You order they turn around and make your burrito/tacos and then move down the line of toppings/salsa.Every vege and sauce is soo flavorful.They even have pickled onions!I could have just reported them but that doesn't show how wrong they are. Below are WHY they are inaccurate, or just lies.The most recent, said they used a microwave. Which no, they do not, you order, they turn around and grill.The 2nd one is just inaccurate; the way they described ordering isn't correct with how this restaurant does it. You order what you want any they turn around and make it before moving down the line for toppings. So you don't even sit down before getting your food.“

“We visited the other night and had a great meal. The place was clean the atmosphere was great not alot of ppl on a Saturday night. We were treated really nice I got the Trailer park taco ? after chatting with the register lady and it was GREAT ? X5 we sat and chatted for over an hour with out friends checked on several times and now we need one in the West Vally (303 and Waddell would be perfect) I am already thinking about my next taco I do have one suggestion turn the Democrat taco in to the Rino may sell better lol other than that great tacos“
