“Ambiance:Interior is very nice, clean and having a pleasant mood. Light music in the background with nice decorations and t.v.'s playing. Restroom is extremely clean and the toilet is very fancy. 5/5Service:The server was polite (as far as I could tell) and was swift the service. Very nice.Food:Takoyaki was good. The flavour was not too strong of octopus. The sauces perfectly balanced, with the creamy mayo and tako sauce providing umami notes. 3/4I only tried the carrot tempura, but the batter was good. Nice and fluffy, but slightly oily. Good texture. 2.5/4 (I'm not a huge tempura fan)Yellowfin tuna has a medium fishy flavour with not much flavour on its own. You can taste the char and the sauce on the side provides the right amount of saltiness. 2/4The tonkotsu broth has a good umami flavour and Is very warming. I prefer soft-boiled eggs over hard-boiled, but I could have asked. The chashu (pork belly) could have used a little more fat rendering, but overall very nice. 3/4 The scallops were good. Relatively big and perfectly cooked. Fried rice was a little underwhelming, but not too surprising. 3/4Overall very nice. 28.5/30=.78“

“We absolutely love Kawaii! The service is always very friendly and attentive. The food is terrific, we love the spicy garlic edemame, sushi rolls, fried rice and udon noodles. We particularly love supporting a locally owned business. Kelly gives so much back to the community and her staff. They all make the experience more than just a good meal.“

“Very impressed with the quality of all the food and the service on my first visit tonight! Now one of, if not my favorite sushi spot in the valley. Tried the Hot Havana, Caterpillar, OMG, and classic Philly Roll - they were all exceptional. Quality of ingredients was very apparent. I wish they had some more "basic" rolls to pick from, but that's a very minor complaint.Service was fast, friendly, and not pushy like some have mentioned.I look forward to returning here. Try the Hot Havana roll, it stole the show for me.“

“We love sushi and trying new places. This place has great service, and the interior is cute and spacious. The food was hit or miss.Bento box was fine. Good options, salad was not super fresh, but the assortment of everything else was nice. We got the tempura shrimp (yum) and veggies. Their tempura is spot on.Most of the sushi was finished with oddly sweet sauces. A slight sweetness in an eel sauce is fine, but this was too overpowering and almost dessert-like. Our chopstick skills are average, but the rolls were large and much too loose, so we had a messy experience.Glad we tried it. Not likely to return, but we would definitely recommend a bento box.“

“This place is really small, however, it is mighty! The food is extremely good, lots of choices. I ordered the Benton box. The steak is tender. The sushi is very flavorful and always well made. I love there selection of beer small but good. Also, they serve Green tea hot or cold. My all time favorite Sushi “

“It's a new place here in the West Valley. We were delighted about how delicious the sushi was. We have only been here several times, and each time was a pleasant experience. Sushi and our appetizer were so flavorful. We sat outside. Enjoyed the scenery and the lovely weather. My favorite was the Tropical Island. It was all pretty pretty good.“

“Super fun! Great prices, about $3.50 per plate, for maybe half a sushi roll. Was really neat to see all of the variety of choices and try as many as we wanted. The desserts were fun and I really liked the cheesecake and mochi! Would definitely go again.“

“This place is a must! The sushi we had was delicious and the presentation was stunning! All the rolls came out looking like a piece of artwork! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. It was our first time here and they took tremendous care of us. We can't wait to go back! They had multiple air purifiers inside and every one of the staff was wearing a mask. Everything was stunningly clean and we felt very safe and comfortable. They are definitely doing all they can for their guests during Covid-19!“

Hands down some of the best ramen we’ve had, plus their orange chicken is chef’s kiss as well! Oh and the pineapple bbq chicken fried rice is also a winner! Definitely give this place a try if you want happy taste buds ?“

“Stopped in while visiting from Pittsburgh. Even made sure I stopped back in on my flight day to know I'd be stuffed all day. It would be dangerous if I lived closer! So good and reasonable. Keep doing what you're doing. And, if you ever think of franchising to the East Coast, call me! Loved building my own bowl and the fresh ingredients.“

“This is my 2nd favorite place in Surprise. Great sushi and my favorite dish, the Bahn Mi. Sooooo good. I usually trade out the chicken for salmon. I'd love to tell you about more items, but this dish is so good, I get it every time. Such a fantastic meal. Usually very quick too. I go here at least once a week. Just can't stay away from this place, so good. Update: lol, still can't get away from the BBQ Bahn MI. I'm on keto now, so I just substitute more veggies for the rice. Oh, and Veronica is wonderful. So patient, so nice. Thanks for making our visit so pleasant.“

The staff was curious and very attentive. especially the young hostess. I was impressed! our party was about 30 people and I believe everyone was happy with their food selection and experience! I can't wait to go again. They do have military discounts also. try it!“

“When two cultures collide, amazing things happen. Sinaloa-style sushi is native to the state of Sinaloa, Mexico and is not your typical sushi. Their rolls are all cooked and come in 3 styles - cold, deep fried, and baked. Instead of soy sauce and wasabi, these rolls are served with chipotle sauce, sriracha, and lighter soy-based sauce that goes perfectly with chilli powder on the table. All the rolls were great but we loved the baked tres chiles roll the best. The restaurant has its own little private space towards the front of the Lion Discount Store. The service was fantastic and extremely welcoming. The owner was super nice. Don't hesitate to come here and try it out for yourself.“

“Always great food and friendly atmosphere. The service is not consistent and not timely. We only had a party of 5 the last time we visited. The last few times, we brought 15-20 people with us, and the service was way faster. It was the same amount of people in the restaurant, just in a different section. What saves them is their good food & margaritas.“

“The cherry blossom is one of the best sushi rolls I’ve had around. Delicious thick tuna. The salmon mango was also amazing. Atmosphere is a bit cramped esp if you have loud drinkers, but the sushi was worth it. Best I’ve had out of the 3 close by.“

“We had just drove in to Peoria and had enough time to check in to our resort and start putting our feet up when we realized we needed to get dinner. We didn't take in to account that lots of restaurants close fairly early here. After finally figuring out what to eat, we ended up at squid ink. There was only 30 minutes left until they closed but the servers were very nice and hospitable. We ordered right away and got the Squid and Nancy, green bean tempura, dragon roll, kids chicken teriyaki noodles and assorted sushi platter.Squid and Nancy was just calamari with a green sauce, the tempura green beans were like the Habit. Dragon roll was decent and the sushi platter had too much rice, that wasn't seasoned. Kids didn't touch the noodles but I ate that the next day. We also received the wrong bill when we were going to pay but that got cleared up quicklyOverall, service was great, I understand we came in late so maybe the food quality wasn't the best. Might give it another shot in the future“

“I've started the keto diet, and this place was amazing. They took out the rice in their shrimp California (handroll) it was delicious... a little on the cheating side of keto but I definitely deserved it. Th sashimi was my main goal. It was good. Chef warned me the salmon was still a bit frozen but the drive home was enough time to let it thaw. I would definitely go back here! My husband got the spicy teriyaki chicken. He said it was ? hot but good. (But next time he's not getting spicy"“

“Door dash order, ordered spicy miso pork ramen and chicken dumplings. Overall I was impressed with the amount of food for the price. For $20 I got all of this Including dasher fees and tips. The way they packaged the ramen was nice, separate so you can combine it yourself so it doesn't get soggy. The broth and noodles were good, my only complaint was the pork slice given was pretty grisly and fatty so there wasn't much meat in the dish to speak of. The chicken dumplings were really good as well and cooked crisp.“

“They say when you see a large variety of options on a restaurant's menu it's a sign of poor quality because they aren't specialized in something. Well, it's a good thing that's not the case at HQ because they have so many options! From pizza and wings to sushi, everything I have tried is absolutely amazing. My go to is HQ signature wings, they never disappoint.“

“This place is one of my favorite places to eat! We walked in and it was crazy busy, but they sat our party of 4 right away at a teppanyaki table. We had filet and scallops which were cooked to perfection! And the service was awesome! They did add the tip to our bill which was fine, we would have paid 20% anyway because the food and service were so good!“
