“I’ve never been to Haidilao before, yesterday was my birthday and my friend decided to treat me.
When we walked in, there were birthday decorations on the table our server Elana helped us take pictures and was extremely attentive and sweet. She frequently came back to check in on us to ensure we were having a good time, switched out our old dishes and filled up our waters swiftly.
I mentioned that we didn’t want the birthday song or anything elaborate that draws attention as that’s not personally my thing. To my surprise at the end, she came back with appetizers that I mentioned I enjoyed packed to go along with some snacks for us, wishing me happy birthday again with a bright smile.
Safe to say, I will be coming back again as the service here is top notch!“

“It had been years since my last solo dining experience, a streak finally broken by a flashy sign promising a hot $12.80 beef set before 5 PM (along with temporary shelter from the light rain). Though the staff appeared to be new, they were accommodating and I appreciated their hard work. The warm food (the beef set with a mushroom-broth base) hit the spot, with a versatile sauce bar to customize the flavors. I’d highly recommend this discounted set as a pre-workout meal. Thank you for the warm food and the hospitality while escaping the weather.“

“My go to Chinese restaurant in Burnaby.

Have been there for dim sum lunches and everything is fantastic from the ha gow, chicken feet to their rice bowls.

But it's there dinner menu that really shines.
I highly recommend:
Lobster and Glutinous Rice steamed in leaves
Crab and Fish Maw Soup (Thick and Juicy)
Pea Tips (Glistening from the wok)
Baked Custard Pudding (for Dessert; must be ordered in advance .. but it's to die for!)

Not a bad seat in the house; even the small table by the bathroom is decent!!“

- Service was good the first time but 2nd time was a bit off
- Food tasted great overall, I would recommend the BBQ Pork

“This is a friendly and casual neighborhood k-bbq spot! They have great set menus with lots of variety, great happy hour discounts, and the staff are always friendly. They always have fun kpop music playing in the background. We come here about twice per month and will keep coming for the great bbq sets. “The owner, Mehdi, created this salad house because he saw how eating good food contributes to good health. When people are healthy, they are happy and kind. He told me about people he lost from cancer and illness from unhealthy eating. When he opened this store, I saw how much love and care he put into the decorations, selections of ingredients, preparation of food and serving people. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Larb moo, pineapple fried rice, and roti were all prepared with generous portions of fresh ingredients and full flavored spices. Go for the fresh coconut to cool down. Pho came out in less then 10 minutes, ordered the beef brisket with spicy satay sauce, perfect amount of spice and broth was delicious.
Free hot tea was also given to me, very friendly staff and good price.“

Food is overall very good, I like the sushi, sashimi, BC rolls, salad, chicken teriyaki, futomaki, tempura, and ice cream. The miss are sunomono too sweet lack vinegar, goma salad too salty, and that thirsty feeling from MSG (which I have no idea from which items). Yes I will go back again :)“
