“Got the classic vopper with no ketchup and an extra smash patty (TIL smash patty = seitan!) in my pjs just cuz i was in the area picking somethin up from fb marketplace. The store is so clean and nicely designed😄also the staff were friendly. ALSO the washrooms are real nice. good place!“

“We were recommended this restaurant by someone who lives in Victoria- who said this was their favorite restaurant. We decided if a local recommends it we had better try it, however we forgot to make reservations and found ourselves in a predicament. We ended up going on our last night in town (a Friday) and hoping to get in at the first come first serve bar which has 10 seats. Unfortunately the bar was full when we got there at 5:45 but we were able to put our name on the wait list for a party of 4. The rest of the restaurant was all folks who had made prior reservations, which are available up to 30 days in advance.
I’m so thrilled to report we were able to secure bar seating for 4 around 6:20 and we were definitely not disappointed. The server Eric and bar tender Barry were both great and made our experience enjoyable socially, and the food was incredible. Definitely fine flavors and unique options that you don’t really see other places. They have an extensive wine list and some fun cocktails as well as beer options and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. We got the AGLIO ARROSTO e GORGONZOLA as a starter which all four of us thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the MELANZANE al FORNO and the SPAGHETTI al FUOCO both of which were exquisite. The flavors in both dishes sparkled and I can’t wait to go back and eat there again the next time I’m in Victoria. If you’re looking to go I definitely recommend reservations if you want to ensure you get a spot.“

“I shall have to come back and try it again, it was very good. I had the Takoyaki Appetizer, deep fried octopus balls and for the main course Black Arashi Tan Tan - Black sesame base with pork belly, egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, crushed peanuts, chili oil, garlic, green onion and nori seaweed.“

“The atmosphere is always amazing, fine dining experience with a world class view. The staff are always so friendly and knowledgeable. The food always tastes wonderful with plenty of seasonal options as well. Customers are sometimes loud but I don't think it's a problem with seating arrangements or anything, just big personalities that love to talk loud when out dining at a fancy place. Doesn't stop it from being our go to place for fine dining in Victoria.“

“A friend and I just dined here for the 1st time and we both were blown away. The renovation of the interior is beautiful and the service was impeccable. We were treated to the owners daughter that kept checking in on us and had a great conversation and heard some background of the development of this new idea from the owners as we have always been fans of Sizzling Tandoori.
We ordered 4 dishes to share and they were all incredible. My personal favorites was the gnocchi dish and the torkhi chaat dish???? we will definitely be back and highly recommend trying this place out!

“Iluka Espresso is a cafe located on the Gorge. Check out their patio on a beautiful day or relax inside surrounded by beautiful furniture, greenery, and visually pleasing artwork. The seating options are plentiful but I found some of the tables a little small.

The staff were friendly and brought our food out in reasonable time. The food was pretty tasty! I would’ve loved to see some breakfast items that include eggs. I bet they’d make a killer breakfast sandwich.

The store hours are decent. Not open super early but early enough. Not open Mondays.

Definitely check out this cute coffee spot. Lucky for us, it’s close to home.“

“These people brought free sandwiches to the striking postal workers. The sandwiches were really good and we wanted to patronize them so we went for a Saturday brunch and had the Chorizo skillet. Delicious. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.“

“Absolute best shop in sidney. Iv tried 8 or 9 different scones so far and every one of them has been incredible! Their bubble tea is fantastic and the whole vibe of the shop makes my day everytime.“

“As a celiac, I was super happy to find this place has an amazing gluten free menu.
They even had some gluten free soy sauce packets for take out orders (no extra charge).

So far have only had their rolls (which were great quality).
Looking forward to trying their gluten free Gyoza :)

“I’m originally from the Carolinas and my husband and I have lived in Victoria since 2019. We’ve been walking past Shanzee’s for a while now and decided to have breakfast there this morning. It didn’t disappoint. The biscuits and gravy were just like “home” and my iced oat milk latte was just what I needed. The Blue Grit pancakes were unique and delicious. Thank you for being here!
