“Hello GOOGLE,If you ever get over to Crofton BC, I highly recommend you check out the OSBORNE BAY PUB. It is amazing & worth way more than 5 ☆'s. The food is delicious, but what really makes it for me is the staff.I'm from the mainland, but my family, Bev,Vern & and Lee, are weekly guests. They always sit in Liz's section. She knows them by name and their food & beverage order to a T. Liz is patient with my uncle, who sometimes requires a minute to confirm.Bravo, it is really nice to know their are people who care. This gives me the warm & and fuzzies. I bet we aren't the only family she remembers orders for.On this visit, I went with my daughter (who also said Liz is a godess) and friend. This was a busy spot on Jazz Sunday. It's Fantasic Entertainment by talented performers. Get there well before 130pm if you want to get the best seat. We had the seafood chowder, pictured below. We loved it ❤️I'm grateful the Osborne Bay Pub has Liz, and my family has a wonderful place to go that feels like home. Thanks Again to all of the staff at the Osborne Bay PubAryn”
“A buddy of mine introduced me to this place a few months back and my wife and I decided to pop in today. Let me tell you were we ever glad we did. The food was amazing as you can tell by the picture, the Caesar, made by Linda, was possibly the best I’ve ever had, and speaking of Linda, she was awesome, friendly and personable. Lastly was the price, I’m still in shock that in today’s economy I can get a great satisfying meal for 12 dollars. We will definitely be coming more often. Good job!!”
“We popped by a few days ago, a bit chilled as we we were on a 3 day bike trip in March. Was the perfect antidote to cold. Warm welcome in a cozy Cafe tucked right by the water. Delicious treats and coffee. Thank you!”
“Thai Pinto was the first place my fiancee and I dined out on the Island. It is by far our favourite place to eat out. Great service, amazing spring rolls (so crunchy and home made fresh daily) and wonderful flavour. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food! Highly recommend #7 and #21”
“Aloha bowl I get the one that's with Avocado and extra veggies outstanding bowl and Ryan who manages it is impeccable with customer service a must if your in downtown Duncan !”
“I was very disappointed with my visit. I did not feel welcome the guy that was working had a bad attitude and seemed like he didn't want to be there. I would like to visit again on days he is not working.”
“Of the many Indian restaurants I got to, Invitation is by far the best. The food is always spectacular, the service is accommodating, and the quality is consistent. I would strongly advise anyone coming to Chemainus to stop by (or make a special trip out). The best Indian food ever!!!”
“It was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice Indian restuarant in Duncan of all places. Being an Indian, living in Surrey, I generally avoid eating Indian food when I come to the Island. However this time my buddies were craving Indian food, so we decided to give this place a try. Safe to say, this food can put most of the Surrey restaurants to shame! The food was fresh, homely and the staff were friendly. I recommend the goat curry which was really tender and well cooked. The prices were very reasonable too. If you are passing through Duncan, please give this place a try!”
“Just went with a group of people (to the Victoria Loacation), I had the Big Kahuna Burger and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had.I was hesitant about the Mango Ketchup but it was tasty. Will definitely go back and try more.Staff was friendly and even gave me a little tutorial on how to eat the burger as it is bigger than normal, the "burger bag" was a game changer.Go there, eat it. Be happy.”
“Happened to be in this area, and stopped by out of curiosity. Came in with no real expectations. I grabbed a breakfast sandwich, and it was truly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve eaten. Everything from the toppings to the bun was on point. Will be back next time I’m in the area.”
“Great place.Jian’s sandwich’s are always excellent. The new benchmark for island service and food quality. Much more than just a bakery.. Particularly fond of the savoury scones, and miso cookies.. high quality bread, great crust and crumb. .”
“We were visiting from Victoria and grabbed a quick bite at the urban bistro. They have great choices for vegetarian and non vegetarian, perfect for us!We'll be back for sure! Thanks, J&”
“Well done Lum Lum It was great Yum Yum for my Tum Tum. I bet you’ll get that a lot lol?. The restaurant smelt amazing bathroom was clean!!! Also, the lady behind the front desk had a beautiful smile. Welcome to downtown Duncan!!! ?????”
“Tucked away on Kenneth St down town Duncan. Such a quiet, calm, relaxing atmosphere, well decorated in cafe style with sufficient seating inside & out.An abundance of delicious fresh baked treats, breads, drinks & much more.Quality is superb & pricing is very fair. The gentleman & lady that served me were friendly throughout. This is a must visit if your wandering in town or just want to sip coffee & relax”
“Gluten free household here! We've tried every gluten-free pizza in this town and hands down, this crust was so good, we worried we got the wrong pizza! Created our own BBQ chicken with that garlic pizza sauce ... speechless. Price comparable to anywhere else you'd get a dry, thin, from-frozen GF crust at $26 before taxes and delivery fees. I can only assume it was made from scratch in-house - doughy, soft, crispy, and holds shape even with loaded toppings. Only waited probably half an hour for it to arrive through Door Dash. Y'all doing the Lord's work for Duncan's gluten-sensitive! I'd give it 10 stars if I could - we'll be ordering again for sure!Dietary restrictions: (See above) - gluten-free crust available in 12" size, which is more than enough for two people.”
“The Old Firehouse continues to be an amazing place with creative cocktails and delicious food! This community-minded business is well worth the visit, as always. Great for drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), appetizers, and gourmet meals of various sizes. Friendly, enthusiastic staff. Check it out!”
“Love the beers and their quaint little tasting room. We came during the winter, but would love to see it during summer. Even better was that it was walking distance from our AirBnB that we were staying at.”
“Crystal & her staff have an amazing little cafe. They are very personable & make you feel welcomed. The food is always packed with flavor & It’s never a disappointment when we get lunch or snacks. The price is very well worth what you get. I would suggest this place to anyone wanting real food with sustenance & made with passion/love.Great job ladies & thank you for being here for the community”
“Some of the best bread I've had recently, and their sandwiches are always delectable (although often large enough to send me into a food coma afterwards.) Good coffee, too.”
“Creamiest ice cream I've had in a long time. Cute store, lots of nostalgic candies, they have bubble gum candy machines in the back. Of course, we had to get quarters to buy those 5 secon flavour bubble gums that you can only blow a few bubbles before it gets so hard it locks your jawsRum & raisin was my poison of choice ?”
“Great beer made by passionate and creative brewmasters. The food is really delicious and the prices reflect their desire to make their warm and comfortable atmosphere inviting to everyone. The whole family is always welcome, even your pooch can tag along and enjoy their pet-popular patio. They even have cards, books and board games for those who are so inclined. All of the Red Arrow family I have met thus far have embraced me with a refreshingly thoughtful and friendly demeanour. Each and every one of them have proven time and again their willingness to go out of their way to appease and provide the best experience for me and my friends.Today I witnessed ‘Big Dog’ go the extra mile and then some - when he didn’t even blink at a customers request to bring one of the books home to finish. As I said, the Red Arrow is made up of a family of great people who are always going to put you first.”
“Excellent spot for really really good food. Burger was one of the best I’ve had and the Benny was delicious. Their side potatoes aren’t amazing so I’d skip those next time. The service isn’t fast (assuming because everything is made fresh and created with care) so don’t stop in if you’re in a big hurry. Heated patio and restaurant were full at 11am on a weekday so it’s a popular place. Turnover seems consistent though so not too long of a wait for a table. A definite must in Duncan as great food is hard to find there.”
“Very nice spot with top notch service and excellent food. Very pleased with the meal we had there, the chicken and duck confit dishes we're prepared perfectly and presented with very tasty sides. A lovely little spot with a great view onto the bay.Parking: There are a number of parking spots immediately in front of and beside the restaurant, which is very handy since on-street parking can be very tight in that area.”
“The food is always well prepared, service is always friendly and quick, and prices are quite reasonable. The steak fries and Coke really got rid of the grumpies today. Thank you!”
“We hired Fresh Tandoori Indian Restaurant Royal Oak to do our event catering. They went above and beyond our expectations and the food was delicious the presentation of food was done very beautifully. I would highly recommend them for your next event big or small.”
“Awesome food and great service! Thank you. We enjoyed the Wor Wonton Soup and the sausage and perogies, and the friendly staff at Bonnie Martin Restaurant. We will be back …”
“Incredible experience!!! Such amazing staff!! Best crepes I’ve ever had!! They even split the sweet crepe without us even having to ask when the found out we were sharing it!!”
“Perfect Small Town Bakery [Chemainus BC] The community of Chemainus has this great little bakery. It was a 12-min drive from where we were staying in Crofton. We came here twice -- Sunday (unfortunately, they are closed on weekends). Business hours posted on their window are Mon-Fri 7:00a to 5:00p so we came back on a Tuesday afternoon. The different pastries in the display case looked so pretty and inviting... they even have egg rolls! I tried their Coffee Cake w/ Crumble Topping... not too sweet, just delightful. I also had the Apple Fritter... mmm, scrumptious warm apple fritter. I also bought a loaf of butter crust bread to take home (husband looked at me funny).Service was A+. Seating available inside and outside their store for those who enjoy sunshine. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. Even better deal when I saw the conversion from CAD to USD on my bank statement. My loaf of bread was a little over $2 USD.Review #3156”
“Had a great breakfast this morn at this special café in the heart of Ganges. Chilaquiles and a deeeelicious (and quite pretty) latte. New owners José Barraza and family are working hard to diversify the menu con un sabor mexicano!”
“A magic little spot in the small town of Crofton. Bless the ladies patience as the hordes of thirsty BCBR people descended on this little joint. Great coffee. I had a sausage roll one day. Yum.”
