“They are the best food, for the best price, and top service. Our favorite place to go. Good old fashion personable service. Not fancy, but who wants fancy shamancy when you get the best of everything else.“

I have been ordering from this place for years, I understand with the inflation and everything that they have the price increase, and I'm OK with that, but I'm not OK with the portion size. I still do love the food is always consistent with flavor, but definitely not happy with a portion. The meat had very little amount in there, And I was gonna charge two dollars for extra hot sauce, which I'm OK paying, but the container was so tiny“

“Massawa Restaurant is such a hidden gem. I came here on a date with my boyfriend and we had an amazing experience from start to finish.

I ordered the lamb tibbs and my boyfriend had the chicken doro wat. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and the portions were very generous.

The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and inviting, which made the whole evening feel relaxed and special. I’ve been looking for a great Ethiopian restaurant around the Vancouver area, and this place truly exceeded my expectations.

What really stood out was how the owner/chef personally went around the restaurant, greeting guests and asking how everyone was enjoying their food. That level of care made the experience feel very personal.

“When new management took over, I think they started to over salt the meat (especially the chicken), and they made their potatoes too sour. The fries are still good, though.

I had a fantastic evening at Barra Forty One. From the moment we sat down, Anita took such great care of us. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knew the menu inside out. She made perfect recommendations and checked in at just the right times without ever feeling pushy.
The drinks were outstanding – beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and some of the best I’ve had in a while. Every round was a highlight of the night.
A big thank you to the bartender as well for the excellent cocktails!

“This is one of my favorite Greek restaurants! The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, and everything we've tried has been excellent. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and provide amazing service every time.
We also used their catering service, and it was fantastic. The food was well prepared, arrived on time, and everyone loved it. It made our event so easy and stress-free.

“came in on Saturday for lunch with a large party of 25 people. The food was amazing, and our server handled everything exceptionally well. Despite the size of our group, she delivered everyone's meals correctly and provided outstanding service throughout. She was attentive, kept our water glasses topped up, and was especially accommodating with all the hot water requests.

The roast lamb was delicious as always—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We truly appreciated the excellent service and quality of the food. We will definitely be returning with our large group again.

The only downside was the constant coughing going on around us by the man but everything else was fantastic. Overall, it was a great experience, and we look forward to coming back“
