“This food stall is located in Yaohan Center and saw a youtuber eat here so came to try it. Ordered their pork spareribs (they called it pork chop?) and chicken claypot rice. It takes around 15-20 mins to make as they do this fresh so it comes out piping hot even if you wait for it to cool down after 1/2 hour. You also get to choose level of spicyness which I thought was interesting (we ordered mild).
They give you the claypot with soup, soy sauce and pickled veggies. Everything was good and especially the scorched rice at the bottom of the inside pot. My only minor complaint was the pork spareribs had a lot of cartilage and were smaller pieces so a lot of chewing was required. Will come back again to try their noodle dishes.“

“Wow the food is fantastic. It was very difficult to decide on what to try. I ended up with the “hot & sour dumpling soup” and the “beef slice in Chinese pancake.” Both are a must try.“

“The peppery pork belly and chicken soup is rich, rich in ingredients and has a high Cp value. The salty crispy chicken is juicy and fragrant. The waiter Yvonne sincerely recommends it. The service is super great!!!

“I ordered the signature malatang with less spice, and my friend ordered the sesame sauce spicy dry mix. I already had high expectations because some of my friends told me this is the number one malatang place.
It really hit the spot!! So delicious. The soup had rich umami flavor and paired well with all the ingredients. The spice level was just right for me since my stomach is usually too weak to handle spiciness.
I also tried some of my friend’s dish. She chose medium spicy. It was actually too hot for me, but still very tasty. Spiciness is very personal, so I recommend starting with your own comfortable level and then adjusting the spice level on your next visit. (Anyway, you’ll definitely come back!! ;))
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made my experience even more pleasant.
Also, the restaurant looked much more hygienic than other malatang places. Please keep up this great quality 🙏
The only thing I’d suggest improving is the meat container. It looked a little empty, and since the meat was rolled up, it was hard to tell how much I was actually getting.“

“It took me many years to give this place a try. Call it beef noodle fatigue, so many places were opening up around the same time. But this one out lived them all.
Beef noodles were great. Fresh made noodles were very chewy. Soup was just right. Same goes for the wontons.
Service was good. People were sweet.
Atmosphere. Not the most comfy seating. They opted for bench seats for the vibes. But the decor was nice. The lighting was bright warm and too in your face.“

“Delicious and comforting food!
Tried the braised pork belly rice bowl (super tender and flavorful, with really good sides) Also had the spicy pumpkin noodle soup, which was creamy and comforting. Everything tasted fresh and well done. Definitely a solid spot for a cozy meal!“

“This place is inside a food court. They had Taiwanese bento that was totally authentic! The popcorn chicken was fresh and crispy, and the portions were huge, it was so much that my friend and I only managed to eat half! The side dishes were pretty great too. I honestly enjoyed all of them! The vegetables were served cold, which was a nice contrast to the deep-fried main dish.
Highly recommend!“

“Authentic Xuecai Pork Shredded Pian’er Chuan that truly brings back memories of Hangzhou. The noodles are chewy and flavorful — even better than some I had in Hangzhou. Clean, comfortable fast-casual setting, a nice selection of Jiangnan snacks, and very warm, friendly service. I’ll definitely be a regular. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Zhejiang cuisine.“

“My Vietnamese friends told me this is a rare soup and hard to find. The fish cakes were very good and I’m glad they sliced them thin. I don’t know how I feel about dill in Vietnamese soup. The broth was a tad on the sweeter side but this is my first time trying it so I don’t know it’s authentically supposed to be the sweet. You can taste the fish/shrimp paste as a main flavor component.“

“Authentic Northern Chinese hand pulled/cut noodles. We ordered a spicy cold noodle and an order of pork and vegetable dumplings (SUPER JUICY), the portions were pretty big and the price is reasonable. Family run restaurant with a lot of options. Will definitely come back again. We wish we had more time and people with us so we could have ordered MORE.
Went in for a quick dinner before a movie next door with...30min to spare. Mentioned that while ordering and they were very nice to accommodate and speed up the service.“

“Juuuicy dumplings! Both Xaiolongbao (小籠包) and pan fried pork bun (生煎包) had so much juice inside, almost impossible not to leak on yourself…..
Also tried dandan (担々麺) and Shanghai noodle (上海粗炒面) and both were very good.
Not exactly gourmet but solid satisfying supper! Small eatery in London drug plaza near Kingsway. Plenty of free parking spots. Popular at dinner time with often a lineup. Don’t take reservations. Cash only.“

“Hong Phat is hands down one of the best spots for Vietnamese food in Richmond! Their hu tieu (#S1) and shaken beef (#F3) are packed with amazing flavor. It’s become my weekly go-to since I moved here. Ohhh their salted cream coffee are addicting!“

“Wo’s Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Chinese food with flavors that feel traditional and satisfying. The wonton bowl is generous with plenty of wontons, which is a plus, but the amount of soup is quite limited. It would be better if a bigger bowl were used to accommodate more soup, or if wonton soup refills were offered when reasonably needed.
The restaurant could improve on cleanliness, as it doesn’t feel as well-maintained as expected. On the positive side, there is ample parking space available at the back, making it convenient for customers.
Overall, a good spot for authentic Chinese food, but some improvements in cleanliness and portion balance would greatly enhance the dining experience.“

“I had theice noodle there and I was surprised by the taste of the broth and beef, very balanced mild broth and tasty tender beef chunks with a big soft piece of dikon. Good combination. I gave 5 stars to the taste but deducted one star to the fact it doesn't support credit card or app payment. not very convenient. Young people like now a adays doesnt like to bring wallet. Everything is through smart phone.“

“The rice rolls are the star of the show here. They're pretty tasty! They also have congee which is also decent. They can be crazy busy with a line and a wait sometimes, but other times I go and there's only a few tables occupied. I can't spy a pattern to it!“

“First time trying their rice rolls. It's really good and some of the rice rolls are made without rolling the meat inside the rice roll. I ordered the shrimp rice rolls and the shrimps were scattered outside the rice rolls compare to tradition rice rolls where the shrimps are inside the rice rolls. It's different but i still enjoyed it. The congee is hot and not too thick sometimes you find in other locations.“

“As much as I love the food, unfortunately I was never properly refunded for a missing pho soup in my order. Now I refuse to hold a grudge, I love this place and that is exactly why I give them a 4 stars. Maybe it was a problem with skip the dishes. nonetheless I am so thankful that they are a welcome and yummy pho restaurant. Great service and even better food. Just a little sad about my missing pho.“

“Another one of Vancouver’s culinary Chinese hotspots.
If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.
The beef and tripe dish were excellently flavoured with a perfect blend of spices. A nice hint of Szechuan peppercorns gives this the authentic flavour and slight numbing of the tongue.
The fried rice was well flavoured and perfectly seasoned. A little bit disappointing with the frozen vegetables, but still a very good fried rice nonetheless.
I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to trying more of their amazing dishes“

“We love love love Ramen Danbo - it’s arguably the best ramen chain across Vancouver and consistently delivers delicious high quality ramen at reasonable prices and portion sizes. We’ve eaten at all their locations around Vancouver and love each of them. The dining space is quite small and cramped so huge kudos to the staff for doing an excellent job keeping lines moving and ensuring that food comes out efficiently and quickly without compromising on quality. The vegan curry ramen is extremely flavourful and filling, and the Kerrisdale dine-special, the egg fried rice, is to die for! It’s so flavourful, smokey, and has tons of wok hay! Highly recommend the egg fried rice. We are regulars here and will continue to be so! 💕✨“

“My family and I came here because I heard it was really good from a friend. When we arrived it was still closed but the lineup was already starting. The key is in the details. I ordered haianese chicken rice combo meal. They added garlic in the rice. The soup!!! My goodness the soup had so many good ingredients. My parents ordered noodle soup and they finished everything. Highly recommend this place to anyone.“

“Aberdeen centre food court is the best place when it comes to chinese cuisine with the reasonable price
One of the top pick place i usually go is “Lung Kee”
Their Beef tendon and Brisket on rice or dry noodles is so good!!
Their tendon and brisket are so soft and tender.. almost melt in your mouth
The seasoning is just right not too strong goes well with either rice or noodles
I have not try their other menu yet because im so addicted to their beef tendon and brisket dish
The price with one dish and a drink comes out under $20 which is pretty reasonable
The portions size is quite big for one person !!“

“This Shanghai restaurant is really authentic. XLB were juicy, the duck very intense in flavors and the fish also yummy. Dandan mian were a bit too soft for our taste but amazing taste. Portions were huge so that we couldn’t finish everything but overall I would give this place a 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My most favorite fish were the Shanghai noodles 🤫“

“One of our go to Chinese noodle places! You have many choices of the type of noodles, as well as the different toppings.
Our typical choices are thick noodles with beef tendon, beef brisket, and chicken fillet. We also enjoy the deep fried squid and chicken wings.
You can order more toppings, and they range from $1 to $1.50 per choice. You can also get more noodles, but you must order the same type, and do so when you order. The choice also comes with a choice of sauce, but you have to select it. Drinks are additional.
It does fill up fast since it's quite popular. And the parking lot is usually full if you go for lunch on weekends. So it's best if you go when it opens at 11:30am.“

“I am pleasantly surprised by this place. Good food, fast service, no frills eatery. The salt-pepper popcorn chicken Taiwanese style rice was top 5 out of 5 quality.
Price is also fair, though at $20 per dish almost, the portions are large and yummy. Don’t expect anything fancy but standard and reliable Taiwanese comfort food.
Service is quick and no non-sense. Also, they give the option of 10% tips when checkout. This is a breathing way to allow diners to choose.
Heard that originally the place was Korean-Taiwanese food, operated by a Korean and Taiwanese couple. Then was passed on to a new Taiwanese boss, then now to their 2nd generation. At least that’s what the staff member told me. So they’ve been at this location for long, just with a new style and twist.
I will be back - 5 out of 5.“

“Been meaning to try Kung Fu Noodle for years. It's located on a smaller side street just off Kingsway.
We ordered the Kung Fu Beef Roll ($12.95) which was not bad. The pancake had a nice chewy but crisp texture. Wish it had a bit more sauce with it tho.
The Beef Chow Mein and Fried Squid combo ($23.95) is not like chow mein that you get at other restaurants. These hand-cut noodles have a thicker shape and better mouthfeel. Wasn't a big fan of the squid which seemed to have a light fish and chip batter.
General Tso's Chicken on Rice ($16.50) had a sweet and slightly spicy flavour but a lightly crispy exterior.
The best thing to get here are the noodles. If we come back, we'll want to try their noodle soups.
The place is cash or debit only and service isn't their strong suit.“

“I always come here when I want rice clay pot. The food is tasty and they give you the bottle of sweet soy for the dish so you can add what you need without having to ask for more. Also got the fried chicken cartilage which was my first time ordering it there - breaded and fried to perfection and the added toppings gave it a nice refreshing edge. Definitely come for the food. It's not one of those places that's all flashy themeing and no substance to the food (or worse, mediocre fare).“

“We love the food here, but there was a plastic shard in the banh cuon today. There was also a hair embedded in the food. The hair, while not ideal, I understand is a mistake and it happens sometimes. However, the plastic shard could have been pretty dangerous if we didn't find it. If the owner sees this, I hope this can serve as an extra reminder to please be very careful with their food.“

“Beef noodle soup - 8/10, the noodles weren't our favourite but the soup was good and beef was extra tender
Dandan noodles - 10/10, saucy, delicious, no complaints
XLB - 7/10, average, less soup than I'd prefer
We got there just before lunch rush started. Thankfully we got a table, as lots of people showed up afterwards and had to wait. The tables are close together so I would avoid constantly getting up when it's busy. Food took a while to come out, probably because they got so many lunch orders all at once.
Parking was ok - it's kind of awkward but when it's less busy there's enough room to maneuver around easily.
Service was decent. There were 3-4 workers that worked quickly to get tables cleaned and ready for the next group.
Overall I would come again, probably during a less busy time.“

“I have been coming here for over 20 years. I am second generation coming to this store. My Mom used to bring me when I was a child and we would load up on wontons to fill our freezer at home. Now I come all the way from Vancouver island with a cooler and ice just to get these wontons and other delicious noodles. Incredible products and Gloria tells you the best way to cook whatever you are buying. 10/10 would recommend!“

“My wife’s favorite and not mine but I will help review for her. She ordered the staple. She can tell if the broth is stewed or powdered. She says it’s mix of both but on the bland side. For the price ( even in Vancouver ) it could have been better she says. Food court food will always be food court food.“
