It's about 4 o'clock, not yet meal time. Unexpectedly, as soon as I walked in, there were 4 or 5 tables of diners inside.
I thought it must be delicious, it is indeed my food🥰
Raw beef pho: The meat slices would be more delicious if they were softer, and the soup is good.
Fried spring rolls: This is my favorite. They are thin slices of meat rolled with shrimps. They are so good.
Also, I forgot the name of this: rolled and fried with sugar cane, it’s pretty good too.

“This food stall is located in Yaohan Center and saw a youtuber eat here so came to try it. Ordered their pork spareribs (they called it pork chop?) and chicken claypot rice. It takes around 15-20 mins to make as they do this fresh so it comes out piping hot even if you wait for it to cool down after 1/2 hour. You also get to choose level of spicyness which I thought was interesting (we ordered mild).

They give you the claypot with soup, soy sauce and pickled veggies. Everything was good and especially the scorched rice at the bottom of the inside pot. My only minor complaint was the pork spareribs had a lot of cartilage and were smaller pieces so a lot of chewing was required. Will come back again to try their noodle dishes.“

“Maruhachi Ra-men has great ramen. There are many options to choose from. The chicken-based ramen is very flavorful.
Despite the amount of reviews, they didn’t seem to have too many customers at the time I went there (1:30 pm)
The service is excellent. Staff provided baskets for coats and bags.
I recommend parking in Safeway to avoid having to find parking on the street.“

“I’ve never been to Haidilao before, yesterday was my birthday and my friend decided to treat me.
When we walked in, there were birthday decorations on the table our server Elana helped us take pictures and was extremely attentive and sweet. She frequently came back to check in on us to ensure we were having a good time, switched out our old dishes and filled up our waters swiftly.
I mentioned that we didn’t want the birthday song or anything elaborate that draws attention as that’s not personally my thing. To my surprise at the end, she came back with appetizers that I mentioned I enjoyed packed to go along with some snacks for us, wishing me happy birthday again with a bright smile.
Safe to say, I will be coming back again as the service here is top notch!“

“I ordered the signature malatang with less spice, and my friend ordered the sesame sauce spicy dry mix. I already had high expectations because some of my friends told me this is the number one malatang place.
It really hit the spot!! So delicious. The soup had rich umami flavor and paired well with all the ingredients. The spice level was just right for me since my stomach is usually too weak to handle spiciness.
I also tried some of my friend’s dish. She chose medium spicy. It was actually too hot for me, but still very tasty. Spiciness is very personal, so I recommend starting with your own comfortable level and then adjusting the spice level on your next visit. (Anyway, you’ll definitely come back!! ;))
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made my experience even more pleasant.
Also, the restaurant looked much more hygienic than other malatang places. Please keep up this great quality 🙏
The only thing I’d suggest improving is the meat container. It looked a little empty, and since the meat was rolled up, it was hard to tell how much I was actually getting.“

“This is some really good ramen. I wanted to give it 4 stars for the lack of variety and toppings but it was just so good you really do not need anything else. Spicy level wasn’t spicy, i got it extra hot and spicy but I’d give it a 6.5-7/10 spice level.“

“Very nice place! We were seated immediately by our server Fanny she was very friendly!
We ordered some spring rolls a chicken and rice dish with mixed vegetables sweet and sour spareribs and some very tasty hot and sour soup !
Our order came within like 10 to 15 minutes after ordering. We couldn't finish the soup and I ate it for 2 meals later that week. Price was very reasonable $45.89!! can't beat the price and I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants and chinese tea is always usually free!
So I would recommend you try this place you won't be disappointed !“

“this place lives up to its name. The chewiest, most scarf-able, perfectly numbing dan dan noodles. truly luxurious and nourishing after being so so hungry. (the food also came very quickly.)
We got the dan dan noodles, yi bin noodles, and poached greens. Would 1000% get all of the above again.
We got the regular spicy for both noodles and it wasn't overly spicy-- if I was feeling more of a kick I would get the extra spicy next time.

“Incredible! Stopped here on a whim when visiting the area shortly before they closed for the night. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu with veggies and it was absolutely incredible. I would say this restaurant is easily a “hole in the wall” blink and miss it type of place but DO NOT MISS it! Easily in my top 3 noodle spots in the PNW. They make their noodles in house which I watched while waiting for my order, it doesn’t get better than that!! They packed the bowl full, excellent amount of food for the cost. I loved it and can’t wait to go back.“

“Wow! What a surprise! My girlfriend and I wondered over to this place after a massage, I was unsure at first due to the location. Once we ordered are food, I could tell the quality was top notch. This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the lemongrass chicken pho and my girlfriend got the beef stew. Who ever is in that kitchen is a true chef. This is the best pho I have ever had. The chicken came on the side and it was amazing. The beef pulled apart with the fork. Spices were rich and a perfect blend. Veggies were fresh, meat was top quality. Don’t miss out, get in there! I wish we weren’t in a rush. Pricing is perfect for the portion you get.“

“This place is inside a food court. They had Taiwanese bento that was totally authentic! The popcorn chicken was fresh and crispy, and the portions were huge, it was so much that my friend and I only managed to eat half! The side dishes were pretty great too. “Prepare to be transported to Thailand! The owners are incredibly kind are welcoming, and bring the underrepresented Central Thai flavors to Vancouver. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Larb moo, pineapple fried rice, and roti were all prepared with generous portions of fresh ingredients and full flavored spices. Go for the fresh coconut to cool down. “My Vietnamese friends told me this is a rare soup and hard to find. The fish cakes were very good and I’m glad they sliced them thin. I don’t know how I feel about dill in Vietnamese soup. The broth was a tad on the sweeter side but this is my first time trying it so I don’t know it’s authentically supposed to be the sweet. You can taste the fish/shrimp paste as a main flavor component.“

“Wo’s Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Chinese food with flavors that feel traditional and satisfying. The wonton bowl is generous with plenty of wontons, which is a plus, but the amount of soup is quite limited. It would be better if a bigger bowl were used to accommodate more soup, or if wonton soup refills were offered when reasonably needed.

The restaurant could improve on cleanliness, as it doesn’t feel as well-maintained as expected. On the positive side, there is ample parking space available at the back, making it convenient for customers.

Overall, a good spot for authentic Chinese food, but some improvements in cleanliness and portion balance would greatly enhance the dining experience.“
