“Had a nice birthday dinner with my sister in the restaurant. It's in an absolutely beautiful location in the Galiano Inn overlooking Sturdies Bay. The dining area is big and open with huge windows. The server was busy but did a wonderful job. The food was outstanding! I had an East meets West prawns and pasta bowl that was delicious, huge and served piping hot. The prawns were cooked nicely and the sauce was really yummy. My sister had a burger and fries. It also arrived with everything being hot. The presentation of everything was beautiful from the choice of the plate to the actual plating. For dessert we split a frozen custard with salted carmel and a blueberry compote. It was really tasty with the custard having a more full flavour and creaminess than ice cream. The restaurant itself is quite big and it looked like they only had one section open which was fine. It made the meal more intimate as well as everything arriving from the kitchen pretty quickly and very hot. Our server was a delight and did an amazing job looking after us. Definitely recommend this restaurant.”

“Today we tried the cinnamon twists, jalapeno and cheese criossants, and their breakfast sandwiches. absolutely amazing. The only downside to this visit, is that I won't be able to have more and try their other delicious looking bakery items until I return to Salt Spring. Their staff were also amazing and very good on handwashing between duties. I highly recommended this bakery!”

“The Thai Green Curry was a very tasty coconut cream based spicy curry served over rice. It was a lrfe bowl full. Do order the pillows soft Naan bread at $1.50 extra. The hamburgers were mile high with handmade patties (be aware zero deep fryer available, so no fries).”

“This is my favourite spot to eat on Saltspring I always have a hectic day there towing and I come in famished and they seat me right away and feed me real good. “Ideal spot for a quick coffee and lite bite. Service was quick. Tables needed cleaning, however, sign outside door warned customers that they were short staffed and if you were going to complain requested you submit a resume instead. Loved it!!”

“Final supper on the island before our journey back to the prairies. This supper was memorable. Large portions, great seafood linguine, good chowder, fish and chips and the shrimp platter. Service was great, our servers were a pleasure to talk with and made us feel valued and welcome. When we return to the island, this place will be on our must visit list again!”
