“I recently visited Cactus Club Cafe in Kelowna, and overall, it was a really enjoyable experience. The location on Water Street is great, especially if you want a nice view of Okanagan Lake while you eat. The atmosphere is modern and stylish, and I loved the open air dining area, it’s perfect for warmer days.
The food was delicious! I tried a few dishes, and everything was presented beautifully and tasted fresh and flavorful. The Truffle Fries were a highlight, and the variety on the menu made it hard to choose just one thing. Their drinks are also worth checking out, the cocktail I had was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal.
The service was solid too. They were all friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed.
The only downside I noticed is that it’s on the pricier side which I expected for a premium casual dining spot, and it can get a bit busy during peak hours too!
All in all, I’d recommend Cactus Club Cafe if you want tasty food, a good vibe, and a great lakeside view. I’ll definitely be back with family and more friends!”

We stopped in on our way home to Alberta and were completely blown away. The food absolutely surpassed our expectations — packed with bold, delicious flavors that you wouldn’t expect from a small brewery. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere was just as impressive — laid-back, rustic, and genuinely welcoming to everyone who walks in. It felt like one of those rare places you stumble on and instantly know you’ll be back. The sushi here is simply outstanding. The fish is exceptionally fresh, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that is hard to find anywhere else. Each roll is crafted with precision and care, highlighting the balance of flavors and textures that every sushi lover craves. Their sashimi is sliced to perfection, and the specialty rolls showcase a wonderful creativity, all while remaining true to traditional Japanese flavors.
Service at Komo Sushi is equally impressive. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure every customer leaves happy. Orders arrive promptly, and the team goes above and beyond to make recommendations and ensure dietary preferences are respected.
On top of all this, the pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of both the ingredients and service. Komo Sushi delivers incredible value, making it an ideal choice for both casual dining and special occasions.

I went there with high expectations, but I was a bit taken aback because it was my first time seeing a Korean restaurant without any side dishes or kimchi even when ordering the main menu, but it seemed like most of the customers here don't have any experience with Korean food, so they just ate it without knowing it haha.
I don't eat a lot, but the rice comes in a bowl big enough to hold a side dish, and no matter how much you serve it like gobong rice, it's still not enough haha.
I don't think you should compare it to Korean restaurants in Calgary -
If you miss Korean food a lot during your trip, I recommend going there.”

“I had the pleasure of going into Little Hobo Soup & Sandwich Shop and was impressed by the level of service and care. From the moment we walked in the door you could just feel this was a special place. In a world that is fast paced, and everyone seems to be rushing through their day, this place gives you a moment of escape for even a short amount of time. The food is great and feels like some home cooking from grandma. Nostalgia is something they serve up daily, especially the Doukhobor Borscht (my little Ukrainian heart exploded). They even have take away items that you can indulge in at home. But the thing that stood out the most was the way their staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, from the initial walk in, directing the line, and even while we waited for our takeout I think every staff member came by and made sure we didn't need anything. Our hospitality industry is lacking in that connection and level of care. One last thing, Crystal posts the daily specials in such a heartfelt way to their Facebook page that it's almost impossible to not give a shout out to this little small business and give them some community love that they so deserve.”

Just be wary, the smoking patio is right by the entrance, so as long as you don't mind that briefly on the way in, you will enjoy your experience over all.”

However, they had excellent service, the server was very friendly and very prompt. The food was very well seasoned, tasty and fresh even after a short drive home. I enjoy good German food and there isn't a lot of options here for it. If the food stays consistent with this experience, I highly recommend anyone to come and visit. Just be wary, the smoking patio is right by the entrance, so as long as you don't mind that briefly on the way in, you will enjoy your experience over all.”

“I've been a regular customer at Yamas for years, and I keep coming back for their roast lamb — it's genuinely one of the best I've ever had. The flavors are rich, the meat is tender, and it’s consistently well-prepared. During my most recent visit, I was served by Taya, she was kind and polite.
That said, I’d like to mention two things where I believe there’s room for improvement. First, the roast lamb tends to arrive a bit late, which can affect the overall dining experience. Second, over the years, I’ve noticed a significant increase in the price of the roast lamb, while the portion size has decreased. What used to be 2 generous chunks of lamb is now just one, at a noticeably higher price.
I truly hope Yamas can maintain the quality and value that made it such a standout in the first place. I’m leaving four stars instead of five solely due to the changes in pricing and portion size — otherwise, it remains a fantastic place to dine.”

“I had the pleasure of going into Little Hobo Soup & Sandwich Shop and was impressed by the level of service and care. From the moment we walked in the door you could just feel this was a special place. In a world that is fast paced, and everyone seems to be rushing through their day, this place gives you a moment of escape for even a short amount of time. The food is great and feels like some home cooking from grandma. Nostalgia is something they serve up daily, especially the Doukhobor Borscht (my little Ukrainian heart exploded). They even have take away items that you can indulge in at home. But the thing that stood out the most was the way their staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, from the initial walk in, directing the line, and even while we waited for our takeout I think every staff member came by and made sure we didn't need anything. Our hospitality industry is lacking in that connection and level of care. One last thing, Crystal posts the daily specials in such a heartfelt way to their Facebook page that it's almost impossible to not give a shout out to this little small business and give them some community love that they so deserve.”

The only downside is the wait, on a Friday or Saturday night, if you don’t arrive early (around 8 or 9), you’ll likely end up in line for 30 minutes to over an hour. As well as, sometimes the music too loud so its hard to talk or hear people.”

One, NV Keter blend was selected to be featured at a working lunch at 44th G7 summit.
