“Foods always decent my one complaint about this location is the auto prompt in the drive throught. As soon as you pull up you have someone who sounds incredibly miserable say hello what can I get for you. However when you say your order it’s usually met by a real person asking you to repeat yourself. Because they were not ready to take your order yet. I say ditch the auto prompt as you get the same greeting by one of the worker when they come on the line.”

The tiered tray was both pretty and tasty, with a nice mix of little sandwiches, scones, and sweets. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully put together. The tea selection was fun to explore, and our server gave us helpful tips on what to try. Nothing felt rushed—we could just sit, chat, and enjoy the afternoon. The atmosphere was relaxed but still special, the kind of place you'd want to bring a friend or loved one for a treat. Overall, it was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. “We had an amazing experience at the Alpina Restaurant. The restaurant is well appointed and the view is stunning (even with some rain and clouds). The food was absolutely outstanding (especially the beet salad) and we enjoyed literally every bite. Both our servers were very good. It was fine-dining level expensive and worth every penny. Was perfect for our anniversary celebration. Definitely recommend!”

“The coffee shop at the Butchart Gardens is a decent spot to grab a bite and have a drink of coffee.

It wasn’t something spectacular, but it got the job done. Me and my girlfriend needed a little bit of energy after the ferry ride to the island, and this did the trick.

My main complaint though? It is pretty expensive, considering the already high price of entry to the garden itself.”

“The best ice cream in the Cowichan Valley - it's the spot we recommend all our friends try. Always new flavours, and always delicious; including some I've never had before like pumpkin pie, carrot cake, and apple pie. Caramel crunch is a family favourite. We usually buy a scoop and then walk down to the trail at government wharf.

The owner and staff are always very friendly.”

“We hired Taco Revolution for our wedding this September and I couldn’t recommend them more! The staff is so friendly and the food was amazing. All of our guests were raving about the food for days after. It was so nice knowing that they were going to show up, set up, serve and then take down. We also had no issues with items running out and all of our guests were happily full after. It was wonderful having all the different dietary restrictions taken care of and big thumbs up for the nut free kitchen as we had a guest who is very allergic. Thank you so much for everything and I’ll be recommending you to all my friends!”

“Amazing service, food, and location. We had a beautiful table by a window overlooking the bay - an incredible setting for a cafe! Our group ordered the calamari, coconut prawns, mussels, and fish and chips, and it was all delicious! Our server was hilarious, which added to the wonderful experience.”
