“Great dinner buffet. Highlights are the salt and pepper squid, mussels, beef with mushrooms, fried rice, green beans, and the potstickers. Had yummy donuts with ice cream for dessert. Some not so great items such as the siu mai and curried chicken, but the good stuff makes up for it. They also give you chilli oil if you ask for it. Nice light and airy donuts with ice cream for dessert. Price is reasonable. Would definitely come back!“

“The best Chinese fried rice and noodles in Nanaimo. Great prices and value for their fried rice and noodles. I haven't tried their other menu items, so I can't rate that part. I like how they are open until 11 PM as most restaurants are closed by 8 or 9 PM.“

“My wife and I went to the food court in Woodgrove Mall, Nanaimo a few days ago. We chose the three choices meal from the Manchu Wok. We chose Sweet & Sour pork, Salt & pepper fish and Honey & Garlic chicken accompanied by vegetable fried rice. There was plenty for the two of us. The meal was very tasty and enjoyable and represented excellent value for less than C$ 15. Staff were very helpful. I'll be going there again!“

“The wife and I love this little Chinese food place, I can always count on large portion sizes, our favs are the chicken fried rice, noodles, sweet and sour, the lemon chicken balls are amazing, though if you don’t like heavy battering you might want to reconsider it; we love it personally.

“My favorite buffet in Nanaimo! I live closer to a different one, but I take the bus across town just to go to Hong Kong House's buffet. Tons of options! Mostly Chinese offerings, but also some salad, pasta salad, desserts including ice cream and Nanaimo bars. Don't miss out on the Thai curries they add to the buffet sometimes, some of the best food I've ever had! Staff are very attentive, food is fresh and the buffet is frequently restocked.“
