“came to this bistro for the first time on March 22, 2025 for a surprise 70th birthday for a family member. Found the setting comfortable, the staff knowledgeable, friendly and the service top notch. Ordered the platter for two and it was so good, the calamari was the best!! Our table numbered 15 people and all food arrived hot and all family was eating at the same time. This bistro is amazing!! As we travel to Gabriola Island fairly often, we will be stopping here for dinner again!!“

“I tried the gyro for the first time and it was DELICIOUS! I know the photo doesn't look particularly appetizing but it was scrumptious and filling. Milano's always has the best holiday decorations, so if you're feeling festive it's a fun spot!
Their breakfast menu is worth a try too. The ham toastie is my favourite!“

“I ordered a pizza and it came missing a key ingredient. I called and because I was already on the ferry to Gabriola, I was not returning (they forgot the pepperoni on the canadian pizza). Glenn the manager made sure id get a free pizza the next time I made it to nanaimo. I went today and got great service by Sooke. Thanks for rectifying a mistake and making sure I was accommodated. Thats customer service. As a business owner, i totally get mistakes happen so no hard feelings.“
