“Absolutely love this place! We have needed a healthy quick place to eat out or takeaway for a long time. The food is excellent and the owner just a lovely person! I would only make 2 recommendations (not criticizing just suggestions) to maybe add a soup (although the one they have is FANTASTIC) and more drink options. Other than that I could eat here every day! I really appreciate, in the days of gouging, that the prices for quality food are fair!”

“This is definitely a the best ice cream shop in town! I love coming here it refreshes me and since it’s so hot out I will come here everyday. I got the Sour Watermelon it is my favourite! They have awesome special cones with cereals and chocolate on them. There is an awesome peach drink which will definitely refresh you in the hot summer heat. I love this place definitely coming back here so much I will tell all my friends about this awesome place”

“I had the most delicious cake at my friends house the other day from Cake Betty. It was so wonderful that I feel compelled to write a review. Today I went to Cake Betty with another friend who bought the most beautiful small cake for a birthday gift. The owner gave us each a cupcake to enjoy. It was the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten - white cake with butter icing and a little bit of caramel sauce. So delicate and satisfying - I could have eaten three of them :)The bakery is so cute - like a tiny bakery in London, or the West Village. A lovely historical building with a sweet little store front. Go to Cake Betty - you will not be disappointed:)”

“Great hot noodles on a cold rainy day of motorcycle travel. The place was hopping. Out of sight on a lane way in Nelson. Good ramen, doesn't compare to Danbo in Kitsilano, but hit the spot. And the matcha latte was excellent at $10.”

“We went for a quick grab breakfast in the morning. Asked them to customise our breakfast sandwiches and they did it amazingly. The chai lattes and the americano were amazing too. The cookie and baked goods section looked too good.
Service was pleasant. The girl taking orders had a big smile while taking orders and inspite it being so busy.”

“Sky-Lea is a truly incredible caretaker and educator. We were fortunate enough to vacation in Nelson with our entire family (grandparents, sibling-in-laws, and kiddos) and stubbled upon Acorn + Oak Childcare on the Nelson tourism website.

She was so fantastic with our 2 year old and allowed the rest of the fam to spend time on the mountain together without having to worry about him having a wonderful time, getting a nap, etc. She's truly fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough.”

“Delightful, casual, local cafe with history in the area. Charlie & Daylen served us the featured sandwich (breakfast burrito) & our coffees. We probably could have shared the burrito it’s so hearty & big! Come with an appetite. They serve no.6 coffee (also a locally brewed brand) and feature a local artist on a gallery wall. A great spot for a Baker Street hang. I even stuck around to get some work done after my lunch meeting.”

“First time here and this place a little of everything. From decadent desserts to Burgers and bagels. They have pizza are smoothies in a nice coffee bar. My friend that lives in Nelson took me here for lunch and I chose the pickle pizza and if you've never had it this is the best pickle pizza I've ever had in my life period she goes to vegetarian burger.”

“I recently had the pleasure of eating a lunch sandwich at this establishment. I learned an important lesson on the day. That being my half stale sandwiches i make at home arnt actually all that bad. I guess eating the savoury wet hotcross bun they provided puts things into perspective. Due to this experience i'll be sure to eat more sandwiches at home.

“Great food and service! The cocktail list is interesting and creative. I had the Marlin Brando. Sweet and tart deliciousness. They have a lunch special that sounded really good but I chose the Yum-Son noodle bowl. The meat was done perfectly and the sauce and other “stuff” was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the yellow curry. Also excellent! My only negative was the tip prompt on the pos terminal started at 22%.... I think that’s an industry trend though.”
