“I just love this place. It is merchants like this that make Nelson such a neat city. Reminds me of things I would get in Montreal or Paris. I visit here almost every week. “This is definitely a the best ice cream shop in town! I love coming here it refreshes me and since it’s so hot out I will come here everyday. I got the Sour Watermelon it is my favourite! They have awesome special cones with cereals and chocolate on them. There is an awesome peach drink which will definitely refresh you in the hot summer heat. I love this place definitely coming back here so much I will tell all my friends about this awesome place”

“I’m glad I ended my night and trip here. Funny little entrance way. And you walk to the basement and into a small room that fits 20ish people. I ordered my Mezcal cocktail. It was delightful. Balanced, smooth and unique.
I had two Medicare cocktails in Nelson prior, so this made up for those.”

“Skylea was fantastic! She arrived with two bins of toys, books and a first aid kit. She was instantly engaging with our daughter and our daughter warmed up to her immediately. As parents we felt very confident leaving our child in Skyleas care. She was also able to accommodate us relatively last minute and the whole process was very easy. Highly recommend Skylea.”

“My wife and I are regulars at Jackson's Hole..we stop there every time we go to Nelson and it never disappoints. The food is always perfect and the service is top notch. Our two favorite servers Kyla and Sarah always go above and beyond to make our visit the best. Clive the owner is a great guy and is always great to visit and chat with. The atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. We would highly recommend this restaurant.”

“I used to come here a loooot for Hot Choc but recently tried the Nelson fog (which is just a superior London Fog). Drinks are always 10/10 and idk if he is cheaper than other stores (not a local) but he for sure isnt expensive.
Also if you so wish you can talk to him about anything and get great conversation with your drink.”

“Best sweet snack around! They also don't have a ton of garbage in them, if you have any little ones running around they are going to love these. You might think they are a tad more expensive than other cupcakes but you pay for quality here, well worth it. Give them a try!”

“I had the most delicious cake at my friends house the other day from Cake Betty. It was so wonderful that I feel compelled to write a review. Today I went to Cake Betty with another friend who bought the most beautiful small cake for a birthday gift. The owner gave us each a cupcake to enjoy. It was the best cupcake I’ve ever eaten - white cake with butter icing and a little bit of caramel sauce. So delicate and satisfying - I could have eaten three of them :)The bakery is so cute - like a tiny bakery in London, or the West Village. A lovely historical building with a sweet little store front. Go to Cake Betty - you will not be disappointed:)”

“I highly recommend Nelson Sushi Wood! I had salmon and tuna Nigiri, rainbow roll and ebi sunumono. The raw fish was buttery soft and almost melted in my mouth! I haven't had sushi this amazing since I moved from Victoria 25 years ago. Thank you!!!”

“Was pretty busy on a sunday night! There was a decent wait list, but two of us still managed to snag a table within ten minutes. The ramen was delicious! Pretty rich, flavourful, and I particularly enjoyed the crunch of the toasted pepitas. Staff were a bit unfriendly, but to be fair, I think they were a bit stressed after a busy night. My chicken slouvlaki was so tender and juicy, all the flavors were right! Our table got a pizza, calamari, ceasar salad and pita bread with tzatziki. Everything was good!
Only thing was the hostess put us in the back corner of the restaurant when there were nicer tables available and the restaurant was not that busy. It was a bit odd but still would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through!”

“Great food and service! The cocktail list is interesting and creative. I had the Marlin Brando. Sweet and tart deliciousness. They have a lunch special that sounded really good but I chose the Yum-Son noodle bowl. The meat was done perfectly and the sauce and other “stuff” was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the yellow curry. Also excellent! My only negative was the tip prompt on the pos terminal started at 22%.... I think that’s an industry trend though.”

“Had Brunch today. I tried the eggs Benny and my husband had the breakfast poutine. Today was the first time I have ever tried egg Benny and it was fantastic. I'm super picky about eggs and they were cooked perfectly. Thanks for a delicious meal. My husband also enjoyed his meal.”
