“Ordered congee with german pork hock, cold dish appetizer with braised eggs, seaweed, and tofu, and beef noodle (三寶麵)The congee and beef souptasted amazing, the beef soup made me feel like I was back in Taiwan again.I would not recommend getting the cold dish tho, the seaweed tasted very bad, and the tofu/egg wasn’t the best either. The portions are pretty big, I was very full from my one bowl of noodle and I usually eat a lot! (just because of the braised platter appetizer)“
“Was quite surprised to find the store empty on a Sunday afternoon. As far as service goes, staff is very friendly. Drink options pretty decent and the drinks themselves were perfect! Got the strawberry banana slush and house tea with pearls. Did not disappoint and will be going back again soon for a quick non-alcoholic drink date.“
“A hidden gem located at Crystal Mall, they are across from the library and quite unnoticeable. Don’t let this unassuming place fool you, they serve up some authentic Taiwanese dishes. It feels very homey and cozy, the older lady who I believe is the owner is friendly and truly cares if you like the food or not.I ordered the sesame oil chicken noodle soup, and it’s so delicious. Chicken is perfectly seasoned and not too salty, broth is very rich but not overpowered by the sesame oil. Noodle is thin and smooth like angel hair, and topped with the sweetness of cabbage, red date and goji berries. The ginger pieces are not the old chewy ginger as well, so I was able to eat them all without much spicy heat from it. It’s probably one of the tastiest sesame oil chicken noodle soup I’ve had in town. The meal comes with a complimentary red tea or soup, a full lovely meal comes under $20. If you’re going to Crystal mall next time, ditch the food court and head to Aroma Eatery.“
“I think the experience has to do with the food u order. I was here another time and it wasn’t as pleasant. Glad I gave it a second chance . I’m going to stick to ordering the same thing when I return. The dishes in the attached photo:Spicy beef noodlesSquid tentacles (ask for a dipping sauce)Taro slush with coconut jellyPassionfruit green teaThe male server gave really good service too. Not sure if it’s because it wasn’t too busy but he was really attentive and didn’t rush us out. We ended up tipping 20% which is considerably high for a casual bubble tea establishment.“
“I came to this restaurant almost every weekend with my boyfriend. The food taste good, food value not expensive and service is good too. I tried different Taiwanese restaurants at different location and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who like Taiwanese food.“
“Place was absolutely packed for dinner so the service was quite slow and we had to try and flag down our server multiple times for water refills and the bill. I'd highly suggest making a reservation in advance as the wait time can get really long.Came with a big group and shared some Taiwanese salt and pepper fried chicken to start and deep fried bao for dessert. We each ordered our individual mains and it was tough trying to decide from their huge (and I mean HUGE) menu. I picked the stewed pork rice bowl, which was tender and delicious. It also comes with a variety of toppings such as egg and pork meat balls, which were all tasty. The fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, but don't let its appearance fool you. Under the top layer of chicken, the basket was filled with lobster chips, which was a tad disappointing. Definitely order two if you plan on sharing with a big group. My favourite part was the deep fried bao, as it was crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy within. Also really great to share for dessert! Would definitely come back again to try all their other menu items.“
“Large variety of drinks and desserts available on the menu. I find that their pearls are usually bland, but their drinks and desserts are good otherwise. Decent portion size. Price about average. Credit card accepted. Quick service, albeit not the most friendly. Limited seating available. Mainly small tables. Limited free street parking available out front. Free wifi.“
“This is a Taiwanese restaurant where you can find bubble tea. The workers have high standard work ethics to ensure customers have a safe and clean environment and fresh delicious foods. I know the staff, that's why I know. If you like Taiwanese food and bubble tea, it's a must try.“
“The price is fair and the owner is very friendly. The BBQ beef rice is popular and kids like it. I ordered curry beef but it's under average ?. Surprisingly, the bubble tea is better than I expected. The pearls are soft and chewy like chat time. It's a good value when ordering the combo. It's also kid friendly too. I would go back again :-) just not ordering curry beef..lol..“
“Best bubble and fruit tea selection around you cab get it made however you want with whatever flavor selection you want not like these other places that have to "stick to the company recipe" can't even get a Thai milk tea in a slush anywhere except here. Great prices fast and friendly service. Decibels my go to bubble tea place “
“Put some respect on Ipoh's name. It's a holy establishment in the most dilapidated mall... to all those who gave this place 3 stars or less FOH. You come here for one reason and one reason only, to wait 15+ min for the fried kway teow with the creamy-egg gravy. If you ever enjoyed Chinese peaches and cream corn soup then you will enjoy this overly starchy sauced fried noodle. The added pickled jalapeños just takes it over the edge. All the weird texture matched with the wok flame flavour.... makes sense just like when Jay Z did that weird mashup with Linkin Park. Side note, there's always this older Asian couple with 3+ heavy bags of grocery and like 5 take out boxes occupying the handicap table. Say hi to them when you see them. They a hoot.“
“My partner is from Taiwan and claims their stewed pork rice is better than the ones they had the last time they visited home. We've also had their pork and chive dumplings which are really great. Haven't tried the rest of the menu but I think if you try any of the traditional Taiwanese or Chinese dishes you're gonna enjoy it! Plus the name is super cute "Come Home Quickly!'“
“Service is wonderful, generous food size portion, and taste good. Especially the personally hotpot and beef and tendon soup noodles, Can be busy and hard to find parking during lunch time. The shaved ice with multiple beans mix, and the ice slash drink with fruits or milk teas size can be served with 2~3 people.Parking: Can be busy at lunch and dinner time, there are street parking on Kingsway tooWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is at ground floor , the door is wide enough and waiting area can Huge“
“This is a really great yet humble place. Nice homestyle Taiwanese food, awesome juices and slushies. This is my go-to everytime I am in Vancouver, either dine in or delivery via Fan Tuan.Vegetarian options: They have tasty vegetarian options. It's an expansive menu.Kid-friendliness: We had our 6yo son and stroller. We just folded the stroller and parked it at an available spot in the corner of the restaurant.“
“I like coming here for lunch because you get a free iced green or black tea with your meal. They have a variety of hot pots to choose from, and although you can't customize the ingredients, you can choose your spice level and choose between rice or vermicelli. You can also create your own dipping sauce, which I usually do while waiting for my order. Food always comes out quick and the servers are really nice. I spilt some of my soup and the server came over right away to clean it and topped up my soup.“
“谢谢 Xièxiè!!I hauled a few Crispy Fish Gua Baos 魚排刈包 on BOGO for lunch and must admit I actually enjoyed this, although initially skeptical. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce, so it was fairly plain but the fish cutlets were plentiful, juicy and had good flavor and texture, cooked well in nice soft steamed Bao, yummy grub.“
“I personally like restaurants that cook their food fresh after its ordered to reduces overall food waste which is a daily occurrence in fast food locations. The average wait time is between 6.4 and up to 16.4 minutes when there is a lineup. I like the Taiwanese braised pork rice with a small amount of chicken (10.5$ combo) for light meal consumption but I'll recommend trying the yam fries (4-5$ w/o combo) if you haven't before. The taste is unique and vastly different from most local's soft yam fries offering; It's crispy especially if you eat them within the first 10 minutes ^__^Ps. You can reduce the wait time and see what's still available by ordering through their App in advance. I usually try to order from this location first before going to buy Boba tea in the same mall.PsPs. There are 2 Pokemon VR Gym at this location<3 Taiwan <3 Japan <3 Good Food“
“It's rare to find a restaurant that has been open for so many years and still has such good service. It welcomes guests with the same enthusiasm every time. I like the plum chicken steak very much. The big bowl of plum sauce with crispy chicken steak goes very well with rice. There are many kinds of food here. I like to come here when gathering with friends. It is also suitable for children. The price and quality are very satisfactory.Parking: Metered street parking.Kid-friendliness: There are many types to choose from, there are also many drinks and ices, and the space inside is spacious, which is very suitable for dining with children.“
