“All of the pastries are excellent. The egg pie is smooth, and it was just right. The ensaymada is soft and moist. The donut was really good, it was freshly baked and my daughter loves it. I highly recommend!“

“Nicely set up for socially distanced dining. Delicious meals. 10 out of 10. Fast friendly service. Lots of easy parking. We've tried other Chinese restaurants, but this one beats them all, hands down! "Ah'll be bak"“

“Great menu options of different sauces and type of meat for tonkatsu. Just a suggestion that they should display pictures of the food or put their menu on their store front window for display as I notice some people passing by not knowing what they offer as some people don’t know what tonkatsu is. After finish8ng my meal and waiting for my husband to get the car, I noticed some tourists walking by looking around to see if they could find the menu or something at the door but nothing was available.“

“True authentic Chinese wonton. Spicy but couldn't eat enough! 3 servings! It's known for its beef soup, but we had those wonton/dumplings. It's in top 5 on Google. Don't expect too much of atmosphere. Just the food. No alcohol on menu“

“My friends tried the Braised duck, Tomyum and they loved it. Mine was the Curry and i enjoyed the first half of the bowl, after that it just a little too creamy and fill me up pretty fast even tho im still not full. Their Thai tea is good too and it came out pretty fast.
The day i visited maybe there was something wrong with the ventilation but we can see smoke and smell heated oil. All our clothes cover with smell afterward too.
Pretty cozy place, works well with groups under 8ppl.“

“I loved this Pokerrito location! The space is modern, spacious, and clean. The menu is displayed on sleek screens, making it easy to read and understand how to build your own pokerrito, bowl, or dish. There's plenty of seating and paid street parking available. Unfortunately, the 'rice printer' malfunctioned, which caused a delay in my order, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted great, although they were out of avocado that day. Every ingredient felt fresh and delicious.“

“I mainly go there for their 麻辣火鍋.
I also purchase their麻辣火鍋 package sauce for home and gift.
The quality of their food are just average nothing stand out.
The restaurant is inside the shopping mall. it's located on the second floor, facing the street corner.
They are right above HMart.
If this is the first time that you are going to the restaurant. It's kinda hard to find. Go to information center and ask the lady for directions.“

“We ordered the Ra Jo Yuk Gourmet Dish (spicy pork with mixed vegetables), which was not what I meant to order—I had my heart set on the spicy hot and sour version, but hey, at least I tried something new. Alongside that, we got a half seafood noodle and half Ja Jang Mian, plus a stir fried rice.
This is definitely what I would call home style Korean Chinese cooking. If you are used to places like Chiu Hong in Surrey, where flavours are bold, sweet, salty and aggressive in the best way, this is much more gentle. The Ja Jang Mian here is less sweet. The pork sauce has less salt, sugar and ginger. The seafood noodle is also much milder in spice.
At first, my taste buds were like “huh?” expecting more punch. But then my rational side kicked in and said, this is like going to your Korean friend’s house and having their grandma make you a meal. It is warm, balanced and does not leave you chugging water for hours afterward. That is worth something.
As for the banchan—it is very modest. Just yellow daikon and raw onions with hoisin sauce. I could not help but laugh a little. It feels honest, like the kitchen is just saying, “Here’s a little crunch to keep you company.”
So even though the flavours are not as intense as I usually go for, I appreciate the clean and home cooked feel. For that, I am giving it 4 stars. It is a comforting, simple spot that feels like it came from a family kitchen.“

“First time trying and loved it! Very tasty food made pretty! Good portions, but I don't feel over eaten. Everything felt made fresh. I tried the lemon grass chicken and Bo Luc Lac. I'm leaving this review so I remember how I felt and come back!!!“

“I primarily go here because I like the coffee they serve during the day; in the spring I started ordering the Vietnamese Iced Coffee which is my favourite coffee from any place in the city.
I like sitting at the long counter by the picture window and working on drawing; it gets me out of my place and it's pretty much the perfect drawing locale for me.“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year. The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food. The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“Very good pho! I got the Kim House Special and it was amazing. The broth was rich, the beef amount was pretty generous for the price, and the noodles are delicious. Definitely underrated, especially considering that there is only one person running the whole restaurant. Top quality✨🙌“

“A little cramped, a little dingy, a little disorganized, this restaurant will win you over not with looks but with comfort food, refreshing soda, and a kind soul.
The curry chicken is presented like an omurice with several fat chunks of chicken around it. The chicken was pleasantly soft and chewy, and went well with the curry sauce. The rice was a bit hard, but no points lost for that. I could eat it just fine with the thinly spread egg. The star of the show was actually the berry soda! Sweet but with the right amount of tanginess, and with some berry pulp at the bottom to top it off!
There was enough soda in one cup to last me two meals. It’s enough of a selling point for me to return. I usually don’t drink soda, but damn, you got to me. Thank you!“

“Loved every minute of our dining experience here! The aromas upon entering this wee spot got us excited, the welcoming staff were lovely, and then...the food. We ordered Omakase C - Cofu and were delighted! The presentation is artful, but not fussily so. The flavours were layered and subtle so every ingredient could be tasted. Our favourite was the salmon sushi (we ordered an extra 8 pieces!), rich, decadent and delish, especially with the Cilantro Cucumber sauce. We tried the Restore and Elevate mushroom tinctures on the rocks; unexpected flavours, but they grew on us paired with the food and a little ice melt dilution. We will go back time and again to try everything on the menu. Highly recommended!“

“Tried out this noodle spot recently and really enjoyed it. The staff were super friendly and quick to recommend some of their most popular dishes, which made ordering easy. The noodles were fresh and flavorful, with rich flavour and generous toppings. The vibe was casual and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends. Would definitely come back“

“Ordered a few takeaway bowls from this lovely Korean restaurant in Burnaby. My favorite was definitely the bulgogi bowl and the spicy pork bowl. They were super filling and tasty. I couldn’t finish it all.
Staff were really friendly and the service was great!“

“The portion of the food is quite sufficient, but the taste is mediocre. If you like Chinese food, it is better to go home and learn to cook it yourself. I feel that no matter how cheap the price is, it will not be more cost-effective than cooking it yourself, or buy a premade microwave-heated version, which is available in this store. The taste should be suitable for a convenience store, most of the food is quite unnecessary to my taste. The seafood noodles taste pretty good, comparable to Soup Master, and the sweet and spicy chicken is pretty good. The texture of the chicken chai is well preserved, allowing me to taste that I'm eating chicken.“

“Today was a one man show operation. Bravo! Everything in the everything bowl was al dente. Perfection. Broth? Tasted wholesome, not riddled with MSG to achieve flavour. Tasted healthy! How refreshing ☺️ I was blown away.
The chalkboard signage on the wall from
The previous business is such a tease! We were sad when we realized they didn’t offer these items 🤪 maybe rechalk the signs!
Thanks so much will be back“

“I highly recommend this store! The staff are super friendly, and the food really hits the spot. I especially loved how they added a generous amount of vegetables to my noodles — that’s a big plus for me. They cooked my teriyaki beef noodles right in front of me, which not only shows their cleanliness but also gave me fun street food vibes. Loved the whole experience!“

“Argo Burger topped with bacon, cheese, fried onions and egg is served alongside a mound of fries. Delicious, whether eaten hot or cold. Fried chicken burger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. Creamy Chicken chili con queso and heaping plateful of Spicy lamb on their respective beds of rice were stick-to-your-bones good. Then there's the home-baked pie and the OMG butter tart! If you're searching for comfort food with a serving of easy hospitality, this old-school Mount Pleasant diner is where you'll find it. #EastVanLoveRules“

“This place looks like a hole in the wall in a industrial area. You look at the location and think that this may not be great. You would be so wrong to think like this as the food is amazing. We both had the Bulgogi Lover and we both were lovers of it. The plate may look kinda small but it has a good portion of food. We both left full and happy. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the atmosphere inside.“

“Haven't been to Yuu for a while and we went back last week. Price didn't go up much despite the inflation. Kids order some special drink and the staff even gave them a small ice-cream cone to top it off. Great gesture. Would definitely be going back more often.“

“We were staying at a nearby hotel and came here based on google reviews. The food was good. We ordered the beef noodle soup and the beef was tender and the noodles had a good level of firmness. The curry rice with pork chops were good too. For appetizers we had their chicken nuggets which is made like popcorn chicken; it had good flavor.“

“Not a good experience! We ordered 2 main courses 1 duck 1 chicken The duck dish was half cooked, the toppings around were not tasty at all. The chicken dish came uncooked! We returned the dishes to the waitress immediately, we were shocked that this is the food served. When the bill arrived, The restaurant asked to charge us for both dishes full price, We refused! After a short conversation they said they would give us a 10 percent discount, We also refused! We returned an entire dish to the kitchen and the second dish we barely touched ... in the end we only paid for the drink and the duck dish. Food - very bad, Service - needs improvement, disappointing. 1108 W Pender St, Vancouver, BC“

“Ai-Boiled Restaurant at Aberdeen Square is a hidden gem for anyone who loves customizable hot pot with rich, satisfying flavors. What truly sets this spot apart is their incredible in-house made soups — they are fragrant, flavorful, and crafted with care. Whether you prefer mild or spicy, the broth options are well-balanced and allow the fresh ingredients to shine without being overpowering.
The concept is simple and fun: you pick your ingredients from a wide variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, tofu, and noodles, and they cook it in the broth of your choice. Each bowl is built exactly the way you want it, so it’s perfect for both picky eaters and adventurous foodies. The quality of the ingredients is high, and everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared.
One of the standout broths is their spicy mala, which brings authentic Sichuan heat without being overwhelming. For something gentler, the mushroom and tomato bases are both hearty and deeply comforting.
The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and efficient. Service is usually quick, and staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to explaining the ordering process. It’s a great place for a solo meal, a casual lunch with coworkers, or even a low-key dinner with friends.
Overall, Ai-Boiled delivers consistent quality, excellent value, and a truly satisfying hot pot experience. If you’re in the Aberdeen area and craving warm, delicious soup made from scratch, this spot is definitely worth a visit.“

“Had lunch omakase yesterday, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. The chef and staff were very friendly and talkative! I was delighted to try a new sake. I can confidently say this is the highest quality omakase I’ve had in Vancouver—better than the two Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants I’ve tried before. The only thing I think could be improved is that the flavors were a bit on the salty side. If they were a touch milder, it would better highlight the freshness of the ingredients. We also celebrated our anniversary here, and the staff were kind enough to take a photo for us.“

“My family just completed an in home sushi class (coupled with catering) to celebrate a birthday. The sushi making experience was top notch. Besides great food and quality ingredients, the instructor was amazing. Informative, prepared, and most important, fun! They easily accommodated unique participant needs and tailored the experience to exactly what we wanted. We learned how to successfully make (and eat) several types of sushi in a hands on experience with no preparation or clean up required.. Highly recommend the classes (and the sushi too)“
