“Unbelievable food. I had the braised lamb and my wife had the cod and prawns - both were specials that night. Both were off the charts good. The staff we interacted with (owner?) was super friendly, funny, and laid back. It was such a great meal! The restaurant is small and doesn't feel like a fancy place, even though the food definitely is. Do not skip this place!“

“I would give 6 stars for service if I could. I’ve never seen staff so attentive or feel like they cared about the diners’ experience so much.

After each course they would immediately clear old plates and cutlery as to give us a fresh experience for each dish.

Ordered the dover sole, ribeye, foie gras, frog legs, and steak tartare. Felt like the sauce that came with the steak was a bit too sweet and wish it came with more salt, but the rest of my party enjoyed it.

During the later hours the atmosphere of the restaurant definitely improved and became more quiet and relaxing.

“Nice server he was actually french which is what i liked about this restaurant, (that it was actually french). The atmosphere was great with a pianist playing nice music. The food was great i had the bœif bourguinon and the tartare to start everything was wonderful and left with a full stomach!“

“The food was delicious. Three of us had the shrimp appetizer and sable fish for dinner and really enjoyed it. My husband loved the beet gazpacho and pork cheeks. Our server was very attentive and friendly throughout the meal. We all had a very enjoyable evening and highly recommend.“

“Service and atmosphere were excellent.

The food itself is just alright. Definitely novel as it is a fusion restaurant but when you’re paying this much for food, you expect to be impressed. Wouldn’t come back for the food alone.

I’ll leave specifics out in the interest of not boring people but if you’re specifically interested in food this place can be skipped. Definitely good food but not justifiable in comparison to other restaurants in Metro Vancouver“

Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. “I've been going to Bâtard for several years -- my favourite bakery in town and worth the 15 minute drive. Great bread & scones, pastry to die for, and wonderful atmosphere for a lunch. The teacher is very knowledgable, they have a library where you can pick some books to take home, they also organize different activities so people can get together and practice. “The decoration is 5 stars the food is ok they have afew options not much.i was there for iftra with my family once the food finished then its done and you have to wait for at least 30 mins till the refill it . We didn’t get chance to try the dessert because there is a small portion like 10 small serving of fermi once it finished they didn’t replace so you have to be careful with dessert. Unless if you want to pay extra for bakery and buy to eat with your tea . Also it was Ramadan every thing is limited ,tea, manto, rice over all for afghans buffet is not bad . It’s was much better if they cook enough and have afew servers“
