“I recently visited Sushi House and was very impressed by the exceptional customer service, the delicious food at an unbeatable price, and the clean and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

When I entered, I was immediately greeted by the warmest, sweetest lady and by a friendly chef. I sat down and was brought a menu immediately. I asked for a glass of water which arrived instantly. I ordered the dyna-cali lunch combo special (dynamite roll, California roll and miso soup). You can’t find a better price for this combo anywhere. I hope they will keep this special.

As I waited for my food (which was not very long), I admired the space. It is the perfect welcoming atmosphere; very tidy, everything is precisely in its place, the decor is minimal and warm. But the level of cleanliness makes this place stand apart. I don’t think I have ever seen a restaurant this clean, it was spotless. There was not so much as a crumb on the floor, a streak on the table or a smudge on a glass, the place was immaculately clean.

The food arrived fast (but not rushed clumsily). The presentation was beautiful and clean just like the restaurant. The food was delicious and clearly made with love and attention to detail. The miso soup was flavourful and warm, the California roll and dynamite rolls were both fantastic and perfectly rolled. I especially enjoyed the dynamite roll; it was phenomenal. The lady was attentive and checked on me the perfect amount and exactly as much as I needed/wanted her to without being overbearing.

As I ate, I overheard some “difficult customers” (you know, the type who want to power trip on others to compensate for the lack of control they have over their own meaningless existence). Customers making numerous ridiculous requests like “no green onions is the miso soup, no vegetables in the sushi and so on, and on…). The lady (owner/employee) dealt with them and their ridiculous demands so politely, without argument, and with so much grace and kindness (which they did not deserve). Indeed, the customer service here is ABOVE OUTSTANDING.

For once eating out, my bill did not give me a heart attack. Both the lady and chef thanked me and said goodbye before I left. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will definitely return! I only wish they were open Tuesdays so I could come here and go to a Hollywood 3 movie next door on cheap movie Tuesdays.”

“We went to the Krunchicken in Mission last night. Everything about the place - the food, the lady taking orders, the environment - were all top notch. We ordered all three kinds of bone-in chicken wings that were available as well as fries, yam fries, and other sides. Everything we ordered was FANTASTIC. Absolutely fantastic. The portions were huge, the prices were fair, and the flavors were out of this world!!! NEW FAVORITE CHICKEN PLACE!”

“Recently moved to Pitt Meadows and came across this restaurant online when looking for sushi restaurants nearby. Was very surprised by the food and prices. Me and my boyfriend had dinner there last Friday and the food was DELICIOUS, service was very fast and the atmosphere of a historic house gave us the idea of traditional homemade food which we loved! Their prices are very reasonable! I definitely recommend this place for anyone who love sushi!”

“Tonight is the second experience in 2 years -- the hiatus only because life is busy and we didn't have an opportunity to return 'til now. This time was for a special birthday. Things had not changed, and that is an excellent thing. The decor is very "bistro-like" with separate tables or booths depending on preference. The food, from opening bites through to the main courses was excellent (tonight: coq au vin and vegetarian risotto courses). We really enjoy the ambience and excellent wait staff. You are treated as family, in a casual, yet expert style of service. We were able to bring in our own birthday cake as they didn't have that dessert on site and they were very accommodating in plating it to the table. As we live near Fort Langley, Firehall Bistro is literally minutes away over the Golden Ears Bridge and so, for the quality of food and service, so much more convenient than even travelling to Langley City, let alone Vancouver.”

“On our journey driving from Alaska to Arizona, my husband and I made it a priority to stop at The Original Lunch Doctor in Pitt Meadows, BC for lunch. Why? Because my grandmother, Elsie Hatlen, is the founder of this local legacy and amazing sandwich shop! I haven't been here in at least 30 years (I was somewhere between 7 and 10 years old) when Grandma let me help in the back kitchen. The giant mixer was my favorite - and apparently it's still there! It was really neat to be back in Grandma's old shop. We missed the current owner today but visited with all the ladies there, left an original "The Original Lunch Doctor" jar opener for them (the info is even still the same), enjoyed a *fabulous* lunch, and watched them totally sell out - at one point there was a line out the door! It warms my heart how much folks love this place still. Grandma Elsie started something amazing that still lives on... as does she! Still zesty and kind as always, but in Texas instead of Canada. Thank you so much for the hospitality and full bellies! ❤️ 10,000 out of 5 stars, highly recommend!”

“Popped in on the way back from a camping trip for lunch and it was just super. The scenery was so beautiful. We were served really promptly and attentively by our waitress. She was so helpful and cheery. My husband and I had the prawn and crab chowder and it was amazing! So tasty. Not heavy. Perfect spice.”

“Great place, really good food and service, plenty of options to eat and drink. Service was really good from Tim the bartender as the 3 of us sat at the bar be a use the place was packed.

There were reserved sections that were not getting used due to waitress shortage (2 on shift) so to not stretch the staff too thin, about 4 tables (not much) so as we could not find anywhere to sit, we chose the bar.

If you haven't tried Thai food, we highly recommend you give them a try and you will probably be a repeat customer like us.”

“All across the land of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, the search for good pizza was scarce. The people cried out for a good pie and the gods responded with mid options. One day, a voice echoed from the distance, “Try The Other Guys!”In all seriousness I was skeptical at first. As a rule of thumb if a pizza joint has a lot of specialty pizzas like smoked meats, and other non-traditional options, it’s a sign to stay away from them because they’re compensating for their lack of skill towards the classics. This couldn’t be further from the case here at The Other Guys. Gave their Philly Cheese Steak a try and I also threw in a Mediterranean.The Philly was incredible, steak was tender, not dry, the caramelized onions held their flavour and the cheese sauce was potent but not too unwelcoming or unfamiliar.The Mediterranean was a walk in the garden. All the veggies were incredibly fresh. Definitely a crowd pleaser for those who don’t want something as heavy.I’m excited to try this place again and i’m glad to be giving them the best referral I can to my friends and family.”

“Popped in for a quick burger and got exactly that. Took only a couple of minutes for a good veggie burger. I can't speak to how their beef is, but I was very satisfied with what I ordered.
