“Our regular birthday cake go to bakery unfortunately closed so I searched for another that had good reviews on a Black Forest cake... Diplomat popped up and was close to work, a definite plus. Ordered one over the phone for the next day, which they were able to do! a plus plus😅 So without knowing what to expect other than the good reviews the friendly lady working the counter handed me the cake and my first thought was, WOW this weighs a tonne!! It was their smallest cake at 7 inches for 8-10 slices. I was now anticipating what it tasted like and when we did... WOW!! a very decadent interpretation of a classic. One of the layers was silky chocolate mousse laced with brandied cherries along with dark moist cake layers and fresh whipped cream then finished nicely with dark cherry halves on the top. It was DEVINE. A big thank you to Diplomat Bakery and it's very capable bakers, can't wait to try their other vast offerings in the future. They may be a little out of the way for some but well worth the effort getting there so don't hesitate, it'll be well worth it!!!“

I of course ordered an entire bun (ferror rocher flavour), from their food truck at the shipyards night market. It was so good that I think I floated into heaven. I got the tie Tisha Fung cake. The cake is quite affordable for the quality that you’re getting. I absolutely love the Thai tea jelly that’s on it. The buttercream is light yet prominent in flavor. The chiffon inside is extremely buttery. I left some in the fridge for three days and it was still so moist after period. This is rare.

It seems like such a simple concept… With three ingredients. But every single component of this cake was so well done. Done to perfection, if you will.

I also added the additional cookie sign… Which is totally worth it. At first, I was a little sceptical because they charged for the sign… But honestly? I’m so glad I did. Because it’s delicious. And the writing is quite nice too.“
