“I ordered the BYO poke bowl with 3 proteins and with kale noodle. Service was exceptional, portions were generous and the server explained that the kale noodle was 80/20 kale to wheat. Food tasted fresh and I cleaned up my bowl. Would go again.“

“I tried the Aye Bowl with the multigrain rice, the food was very good. The portion of the food was adequate for the price, and the bowl was very healthy! The salmon was fresh and there was a good amount of avocado, which I really liked. It was a bit pricey but given the flavour and the healthiness overall of the bowl made it fair. The service was fast, and the environment was relaxed an friendly.“

One complaint is that if they’re in the middle of preparing a delivery order, you have to wait for them to finish before they take your order, even though the delivery order sometimes just sits on the counter for several minutes before pickup.

I usually already know what I want and can order quickly, so the wait can be a bit frustrating, especially when there’s no one else in the store. I still give them 5 stars though, as I think they’re trained to do it that way and the service is otherwise consistently good.“

“Ran into this hidden gem on my way out of Vancouver. The staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the menu ingredients. I ended up taking their recommendations and tried the Yuzu with salmon and crispy miso with salmon. Both were fantastic and the ingredients were so fresh! Definitely recommended—I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.“

“We had a large order that initially we were going to do online but is didn’t register rewards.
So we called and spoke with Richard who told us to come in and he’d take care of us. He then landed up calling us a few minutes later and asked us for our order and he’d have it ready by the time we got to the store.
Everything was labeled with names and packed neatly so nothing was going to fall out or leak.
We appreciated the great service that he provided and will continue to frequent this location.“

“First visit to Steve’s Poké Bar – Ladner, and I’m already planning to come back!
I tried the small bowl for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were so fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything was prepared with care. The portion size was just right, and the bowl looked as good as it tasted.

The staff at the Ladner location were super friendly and helpful. As it was my first time, they patiently explained the options and helped me build a bowl I really enjoyed. Their welcoming attitude and great service made the experience even better.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a healthy, tasty meal. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!“

“Great food great service great prices more than fair their combos are pretty well-priced especially. Their dynamite roll is easily the best dynamite roll I have had in a long time. The place is small; that said, however, dine-in is availabl and they do also have tables outside. it is a little cramped but nothing too claustrophobic ...

You can select the size (large or small), base(white rice, brown rice, or green vegetables), add from selected items(sea weed, pineapple, soybeans, lots of options), all kinds of sauce, and selection of poke. Healthy, delicious, we had it multiple times in our first visit to Vancouver. Love it.“

“I almost didn’t come here, but I’m really glad I did.
I’ve been a huge fan of Hula for a long time. I happened to be near Waterfront and decided to stop by, not expecting much… but this place completely surprised me.
First thing I noticed was how clean everything looked. It actually felt fresher and more organized than what I remember before. The staff also seemed differen in a good way. Everyone looked focused, working quickly, and the overall vibe felt much more put together.
Food-wise, this might have been one of the best bowls I’ve had from Hula.
I ordered my usual style but went with the Tiki and added both salmon and chicken, and wow… it was actually kind of amazing. The ingredients tasted really fresh, and the sauce was something else. You can tell it’s not just something generic, it has that slightly sweet, tangy, savory balance that just works so well with everything.
I ordered through Uber and picked it up myself since I was in a bit of a rush. Ended up eating it in my car before heading back, and even in that situation, it was honestly so satisfying.
What really stood out to me though was the portion. Usually with poke, you finish the rice and everything is kind of gone at the same time. But here, I actually still had salmon and chicken left after finishing the base, which almost never happens. It felt generous and filling, not like one of those bowls where you’re still hungry after.
I didn’t expect to feel this impressed, but I genuinely did. It kind of felt like I randomly discovered a hidden gem, even though it’s part of a place I already liked.
Definitely coming back again soon.“

The food is really good as well; obviously their chicken burgers are fantastic, but I *love* the lemon pepper fries as well. “I went to this place and this place is phenomenal. I recommend to go during lunch because it just opened and everything feels more fresh.

The atmosphere when I walked in is full decorations and lots of plants at the entrance to make it feel more Japan vibes. There are also photos of food at the entrance so you know what your ordering and what to expect. Even the washroom has mini paintings.

The service is mostly quick, although our server didn't know the menu so it took some time. Everything else was expected.

The food is outstanding. I recommend ordering sashimi and rolls tray if you can finish it. The food is absolutely fresh and I can taste it in every bite. And everything is reasonably cheap which is fantastic.

Overall this place is a must go if you want to eat Japanese sushi and your in the area.“
