“We came here on Christmas Eve while camping at Porteau Cove. Although we go up the gondola often for hiking, we had never eaten here before except for snacks. There is a special menu for Christmas. I had the winter root vegetable stew and my partner had turkey chili. Both were excellent, and very large servings. Plus we got 20% off since we have annual passes, so a pretty good deal for the quality of the food. We washed it down with some beer flights from the bar, which has a good selection of beers from local breweries. A great experience!“

“Service has been really horrible no drink refill waiting 20 plus mins after we are finished for a bill no plates taken away.. sucks as I had it at 5 stars even a year ago. But the service has gone down 100 percent. The salad also had wilted soggy lettuce.

“Oh. My. God. Why didn’t someone tell me about this place sooner!!! Arguably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Service was top notch!!! Oh, and it’s pet friendly❤️. Homemade dog treats on the menu, ok….thats a first for me. And this Isn’t even taking into account the amazing location❤️❤️ Honestly I’ve found my new breakfast place for ever trip to Whistler. Can’t wait to get back and try the rest of the menu“

“If you're looking for another trendy glitzed out loud millennial rave, this is not the place. Go back to Starbucks & get another tofu latte ... If well prepared good food served up in record time by people who actually care, all in a laid back relaxed atmosphere, then this place will likely become a regular for you. My wife & i both work in the equestrian industry (she's an equine therapist, i transport horses, & we both provide emergency response for large animals), we don't get to spend much time at sit-down dinners, but whenever we get the chance, stopping at the Shady Tree is always a pleasant break. We've been there maybe half a dozen times over the past couple of years, and in all of those times we have yet to come up with a single complaint.“
