“Was looking for caffeine and soup and ended up with an iced Americano and congee? Never expected to see congee but given my dental procedure just prior, I decided to give it a try. Congee was amazing! Not what you’d expect from a Chinese congee and in the best way. Americano was super smooth without the over-roasted bitterness of some better known coffee brands. I was on the island for a visit and will be back at my next opportunity.“

“My first visit to Discovery Coffee on Blanshard street in Victoria on October 9, 2025. I was told to definitely try it and I got there at 10:10 and had to wait over 10 minutes to put in my order for a Cappuccino. And another 10 minutes to pick it up. My drink was OK but nothing special. I would not wait 10 minutes again, if there is a line up next time I am in town and decide to try it.“

“Gigi's is a rad local cafe with freshly made baked goods (I get a muffin every time) and delightful coffee. They support the local arts by showcasing local artist's physical talent (trinkets, mugs, paintings) and also through hosting open mics and poetry/writers nights. They have a live musician play most Sundays for a few hours and the owner, Gino, sings some sweet Italian tunes at the open mics. So... yeah Gigi's has been a glorious addition to the Quadra Village, buy stuff there“

“Ok coffee, not super attentive on quality of shots or maybe need more training. The vibe to customers is very cold. Employees seem miserable and really need to smile and make customers feel warm and happy. Im a coffee critic and go to all coffee shops. In vancouver and victroria. I would say make a stop to try it. But try other local roasters first.“

“I LOVE Blenz. I’ve been going to Blenz for over 10 years all over BC. This specific Blenz made my drink (matchachillo with yogurt and real powdered cinnamon blended in) PERFECTLY! The staff were super nice and sweet even though I had 2 kids with me and one of them was crying. Super nice and cozy feel. ❤️“

“I absolutely loved my visit here. On our only rainy day during a recent vacation, we popped in for a hot drink. I ordered a Mocha and a Raspberry filled donut. Both were really good but the donut?! SO GOOD.
The service was warm and friendly. I think the person helping us really liked it when I described how I was going to smooth my donut right into my face. Lol. He laughed anyway...

“We ordered 4 bags online to be shipped to Edmonton, they were sent promptly but on arrival we noticed our 5lb bag had turned into a 300g bag on its journey over haha. “This Scandinavian coffee shop is a refreshing change from the usual coffee scene. It’s a simple, calm space where the focus is on quality and care — every cup is brewed with attention, and the staff are happy to share what makes each coffee unique. It wasn’t what I expected, but it turned out to be one of the best coffee experiences I’ve had. Definitely worth a visit if you’re curious to try something different.“

Seating for ~15. Lots of free parking. No drive-thru. Local artwork on display. Wi-Fi. Collect rewards points.

Great selection of snacks and a wide choice of beverages. I just had the cheddar bagel with cheese, lemon loaf and a London Fog made with oat milk.

“I wandering around the city I I usually do and I came here for a quick rest. I enjoyed the vibe. It was quiet, people socializing while others were quietly working. I ordered an iced moka and I had it in my hands very quickly. Staff were cheery and I was back out in the world continuing my meandering.“

Ordered one of the featured blends in an espresso, it was smooth delicious and came with some nice sparkling water which was a wonderful pallet cleanser.
the pastries where also good and paired well with the coffee.
The staff was not super helpful or polite it had the strange phenomenon where the better the coffee the more the baristas act like Daria.
but the pretentiousness does not retract from the extremely enjoyable coffee. but does keep it from a perfect score.“

“During the protest on Feb 19 I came in to get tea and coffee. I like to support small businesses like this. Nice clean place. Vax pass required to sit in but not to take out. Which was nice. I had a lovely girl serve me and we talked about the egg bites. I thanked her and went to leave and had a woman cruse at me and then threaten to hit me. I kindly asked if she was having a bad day and needed a hug. I then began to record her I case she did proceed with what she said. I want to apologize to all people who were there trying to enjoy a peaceful day, and the the lovely staff who are just trying to do their job in a world that’s gone nuts. Sorry that this woman felt the need to be ignorant and violent to a person who was peacefully and politely getting a tea and coffee. This behaviour in older adults is embarrassing. And I am sorry it happened in your nice establishment. Hopefully it won’t happen again. I’d like to post the woman’s picture since she threatened me. But I’ll save her the embarrassment. “We really enjoy coffee and treats and occasionally lunch in this lovely spot. The staff are great, the venue charming. The outdoor water views are beautiful. The only thing I would suggest, is to add few savoury baked goods, for those of us without a big sweet tooth. Savoury scones, sausage rolls etc for a small sustaining snack😊“

“The bus for my return ferry was coming in just one minute, and I really wanted to say I was sorry and ask if you could prepare it quickly. But with my limited English, all I could say was “the bus…!” Seeing me so flustered, the staff kindly hurried without getting upset. I was truly grateful, though I also felt bad for rushing, and I ended up running out without even saying a proper goodbye. Thankfully, I caught the bus.

“A lovely little coffee shop in the center of James Bay. The family that runs the place are super friendly and clearly take pride in their business. The seating and atmosphere is cozy. Best of all, they have tons of food options, including lots of gluten free baked goods! They even have ice cream. :)“

Cat’s Coffee and Cake did just that. “Super nice little place tucked away in a hotel! I got a smoked butterscotch latte and a pain au chocolate.

The latte was lovely, flavoured very nicely and was super unique! Also had a little complimentary piece of shortbread which was very tasty. The pain au chocolate was super flakey and light, and perfectly chocolatey. I really enjoyed both the drink and food!

The service was wonderful. The lady serving me complimented my earrings which was very sweet and then remembered my name and grabbed my dishes for me when I was leaving! Super bright and cheerful, very much made my day. It was nice and cosy and had a lovely waterfront view if you sit in the right spot. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the area and have a chance to stop by.“

“I highly recommend this small, cozy, homey place. The staff/owners are so friendly and the cook/chef, a wonderfully friendly woman came out a few times and chatted. I came for the German meal tonight and it was fantastic. The red cabbage was like my mom used to make and the schnitzel was pounded into perfection! Topped off with an awesome Black Forest … all deeeelicious.“

“Anything at Whistler is expensive, so it seems. This place is at the e=nd of a row of businesses, near the Village Gondola. I went in for coffee and decided to get a sandwich. My drip coffee was only $$2,75, I got the Texas Pull sandwich, which came nice and warm, with a very light barbecue sauce, very different from the usual spiced overload sauce. on pulled sandwiches. The sandwich was only $12. totally worth it.“

“My husband and I were visiting from Vancouver and spent the afternoon working at this coffee shop. The service was efficient as we noticed that the tables were cleaned right after patrons left and the coffee was well-made. We had flat whites! The brownies and lemon squish were so good! The atmosphere and seating was also very comfortable! Good job! We will visit again. Great coffee!“
