“It's like stepping into the past, the food is excellent and the family that has run this restaurant since before I was born are wonderful. It's a cash only restaurant that does good breakfast and fish and chips and even better Chinese food. The price is super reasonable and come quick and fresh everytime.“

“Had the two piece cod and chips with a buddy. We had a coupon for 20% off both meals. Everything was delicious, coleslaw was fresh and plentiful. The fries could have used a minute or two longer in the fryer but I’m just being picky. Fish was very tasty, great batter cooked perfectly. My only complaint like a lot of other reviews was the portion size of the fish. For the money the fish pieces should be bigger. Service was excellent,over all a good lunch spot on the West Shore.“

“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

“We were looking for a contemporary restaurant that served seafood dishes that matched our tastes. We chose Fire + Water because of the dishes offered. We were so happy about this choice as our food was so good and fulfilled our cravings for fresh seafood since we are from the Prairies. For our appetizer we ordered calamari which was on happy hour special. They were not oily and did not have too much breading. My boyfriend ordered the salmon and scallops which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Fire and Water seafood salad and it had prawns, candied salmon and smoked salmon. It was a huge portion of salad with lots of protein. I will dream of that salad forever. 😍 Our server was super nice and the food came out quickly. Next time we are visiting Victoria, we would totally come again.“

“Visiting from Edmonton. Randomly chose the restaurant because we like to try small local restaurants when we travel. It was also close to our hotel and we liked the posted prices and menu items. One server, one chef, place was about half full. Service was faster than expected given only one server. Food was delivered fairly quickly, was hot and very tasty. Highly recommend it.“
