“Great experience! Only wish this place had a location that was closer to home! Definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is busy and smaller in size; the tables fill up quickly!

The food was so good I forgot to take pictures of everything before eating. Their dumplings and their pork bun/sandwich were excellent, and all their noodles had amazing flavour and texture. Everything we ordered was delicious, and came out fairly quickly. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely come back!”

“The sushi and sushi burritos were amazing! My husband isn’t usually a fan of sushi, but he said this was the best he’s ever had.

However, we encountered an issue with tipping. It’s not mandatory, but after we didn’t tip, the waitress seemed upset and made it clear to us. I believe she even mentioned it to the kitchen staff, as they were giving us a rather unwelcoming look. It was quite an unpleasant experience.

I don’t understand why tipping has to be expected. When we visit a place, we anticipate receiving good service for what we pay. We tip when we can, based on our budget, so it was disappointing to receive such a negative reaction for not tipping.”

“I stopped by this cozy spot on Marine Drive one afternoon and the experience surprised me in the best way. At first it looked like a small ramen restaurant from the street, but once I sat down I noticed how warm and welcoming the place felt. I tried a bowl of miso ramen and the broth was deep and full of flavor that warmed me up right away. I also ordered a plate of tonkatsu and it came out crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside which made every bite satisfying. The people working there were helpful and explained the menu without rushing me, which made ordering easy and stress free. Around me I saw others enjoying their meals too, and it felt like a spot where locals come back again and again. I left full, happy, and thinking about my next visit. This is a place that takes classic Japanese comfort food and serves it in a way that feels both delicious and comforting for anyone who loves good food.”

“We have been ordering from Ginger and Soy for both takeout and dine in for the past several years. They produce some of the best dishes, piping hot to your door. It is a premium product and more expensive than local alternatives. It is worth it. Family members even fight over the leftovers a day later.”

“I was recently did take out with a friend submitted a review suggesting that he received food poisoning from the food..I ate the same food from the same containers that he ate from and had leftovers the next day with another friend and were fine. The food was delicious ,portions were generous and when they forgot to put all the containers in the bag to take away i called them to mention this and they offered to add prawn and crab rolls to compensate for there mistake..i would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant..”

“I had a craving for sushi and decided to stop here at Kin Sushi which I’ve been to a few times already. It’s a small restaurant with friendly staff. I ordered the Favourite sushi combo and gomae. I was served quickly and tea was also topped up regularly. Everything was fresh and very nicely plated. It’s a very popular place for takeout as guests were rolling in the whole time to pick up orders. The only knock I have was that the washroom floor felt sticky, the dining area is very clean though. I do recommend this place and will continue to come back.”

“This was our first time here. We chose it because we had to have a meeting and this was a central location with some coming from the Sunshine Coast. I normally am not a fan of pizza, once a year is good enough for me. However, that has now changed. This pizza was so fresh and tasted amazing, especially the crust! I asked for light sauce and the amount was perfect. The owner was very accommodating, some wanted coffee which they don't serve, but he allowed us to pop down the block and grab one from Starbucks and bring it back to have with our meal. The regulars were super friendly and at lunchtime was pretty busy with a lot of workers coming in for lunch. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!”

May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏”

I have been traveling Mexico for over 45 years and built 4 vacation rentals in a place called Yelapa down the coast from PV and this place is a blight on the landscape. I dug”

“I was on a way to a hike for my birthday and wanted to stop by a cafe and this popped up on google maps. I usually roll my eyes when I see reviews saying it’s a hidden gem, but it was actually kinda hidden and it is a gem of a place, so I’m happy I stopped by!

I ordered a latte, a pecan fancier and a croissant. Absolutely amazing! They have their own in house baker that makes their baked goods.

Latte was well balanced and the art was so pretty. Perfect amount of foam and I love how the cup was big enough to dip the baked goods in it.

Croissant was super crispy on the outside but soft and buttery on the inside. It makes the perfect crisp noise when being pulled apart!

Fancier was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The pecans added such a nice texture. It was so good!

Atmosphere: I loved the interior decor and furnishings inside. It really felt on theme for a Paris/french vibe. I loved the chairs inside with the rattan design, it always makes places feel more premium.

Service: the barista was really nice and was helpful when I didn’t know what to get. Even asked me how the baked goods were when I went to drop off my plates and cup.

Areas for improvement: I had a great first impression and experience, but if I were to be nit picky then I do have a couple minor suggestions! First being the bathroom. It was clean and tidy and not smelly at all. I only noticed that there could be a deeper clean to get rid of scuff marks along the door and the floor. It’s tough because the door is white so it’s more noticeable. I didn’t have a particular problem but it’s something I noticed since it’s such a contrast from the beautiful bright and clean cafe atmosphere.

Second is the coffee mate at the side station. I felt it was out of place and ruined the high end illusion for me. I understand small businesses can’t afford a self serve milk and cream canister, but I’d rather have there be a sign saying you have to ask for cream/milk or the barista to ask you if you want milk (note I ordered a latte so this wasn’t applicable to me, it’s just something I wanted to point out). I also think that it’s a disservice to your coffee and beautiful pastries to have whitener in the same vicinity.

Third is make it known your baked goods are made by your in house baker! I don’t think I saw a sign big enough and people need to know more info about this baker!”
